Tried it on a fresh 3.5.1 install, uploaded and installed without problems, configured options in admincp, made template changes like instructed and....
it doesn't do jack. No matter what url I put into the [Media]-tags, it simply shows the [media]url-to-whatever[/media]-text unparsed in the post. (And I even got anymeda-permissions for my usergroup). Ah well, would have been too fine I guess. [edit] nevermind. rebuilding post cache helped. great hack. |
the radio buttons for all the options won't save as ticked on my 3.6.4. Anyone had this problem before?

Im having trouble with the easiest step I think.
I cant import the english language xml file. -------------------------------------------------------------- In AdminCP I goto > Manage Products > Add/Import Product > Import Product I try and import English.xml It says Invalid File Specified Im lost. I cant use this hack without this imported. |
Hmmm... Just noticed that no one has gotten any questions answered here in months. Oh well.... Guess I need to find a new hack for video... sniff sniff
|
Great! Thanks you very much!

I've found out that this doesn't work with vBadvanced's News Module.. specifically on the portal page. It breaks the tables and completely messes up the entire page. It works in that actual News Forum though, just not the News portal.
I even tried clean file output and it just makes the entire News column disappear. Luckily, normal users aren't allowed to create new threads in the News forum, so it's not really much of a big deal.. I'm just wondering if anyone knows the cause of this?? I have a feeling it's the collapsible DIV around the flash video.. I don't think you can have one collapsible box inside of another can you? |
bug in IE .. Player doesn't show properly; the Video doesn't show (though, I can hear the sound fine) .. It works w/o a glitch on Firefox though .. :)

Do I have to uninstall any other bbcodes I already have installed for like say Google Video?

But I had it working with 3.5.x and upgraded right over it. I understand it might not work for folks doing "clean" installs. It might not be supported any longer, but for my money it's still the best add-on of it's kind. And I'll stick with it until it breaks, or something better comes along. |
its a great hack but causes too many problems with 3.6.4 . like it doesn't show everytime and most of the time i see a blank player
any idea's how to resolve this? |
Hey, one question:
How can i center the whole videobox in the posting? greatz RS |
Quote:
Couldn't you use the [ center ] BBCode tag? |
Quote:
Since it's not supported and apparently no longer in active development, why not move over to a different mod or BBcode instead? There are quite a few that are supposed to work... |
yes, but so you have to put the BB Code center code into every posting!
the whole box should be centered automatically in posting! i think that i have to edit that idea in any template haven't i? |
please answer to my first question. :-)
second question: when will the update be released? i read this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=117273 and there appears a message, that there will be a update in version 3.6.x ! third question: how can i delete this addon? |
i think dailymotion changed their code .. anyone has problem with them ??
anyidea ? |
Quote:
To delete the hack you'd uninstall the product and delete the files you uploaded. |
Excellent!!!
Worked first time and is getting a LOT of use on my site, now a question, will it be possible to play .m4v's in the future??? :) |
[speechless]
*Clicks install |

anyway thanks a lot for this... ;) |
Can anyone tell me wheres the installation guide..
|
hey how come support and dev stopped on this excellent mod
someone should re-pick it up its such a cool and essential mod |
Installed, thanks!
|
I have this installed on V 3.6.4 and for the most part, it seemes to be working.
There is a problem with the install.htm file provided in the download. I see some code listings, but no instructions on where they are supposed to go. See attached screen shots. I'm definitely missing something. Can someone enlighten me here? The media icon does not appear in the message editor and there's a few other glitches which I presume will be corrected when I understand what to do with the code segments in the install.htm file. If I manually enter the media tags, I can display videos. Can someone post instructions on what to do with the code in install.htm?? Thanks |
It's not corrupted, I just used it yesterday...it's gotta have something to do with your computer.
|
has anyone sussed out how to use this with CMPS ?
Ive changed the urls in the English XML to /forum/clientscript/anymedia.js and its still not working. It's not showing the error message or anything at all the [media]http:// [/media] just disappear ? Any help with this would be much appreciated. |

I have heard the 'white screen' problem mentioned several times in this thread but as of yet I don't think anyone has discovered exactly why that happens or has tried to solve the problem.
I have the same problem with certain video sources. I have been able to force this problem to occur by refreshing the page while the video is playing. This seems to only occur with the flash players. I have not seen this problem with the other media types. When I refresh a page with a flash video source that uses the flash player, the AnyMedia player window turns white any stays that way no matter how many time I refresh the page. I am using Internet Explorer 7 as my browser. Here's the weird part. If I create a new browser tab, then immediately go back to the page with the white screen, a page refresh immediately restores the White screen to a normal Anymedia player window and I can play the video again, Of course refreshing the page again causes the white screen to appear and same as before, if I create a new browser tab, I can go back and refresh the page and the white screen goes away. Here's and example page:http://www.majorleaguetalk.com/forum...ead.php?t=6394 The tag for the video looks like this: [media]http://www.sharkle.com/video/122595/[/media] I am not a programmer and certainly don't know why this is happening. I just posted this in hopes that it may give someone, that is a programmer, a clue to why this happens. This is a great mod but has a few flaws. If enough people start working together on this, maybe we can get all the bugs out. UPDATE: When the video is set to auto start using these tag options, [media="640,480,yes"]http://www.sharkle.com/video/122595/[/media] the player screen will still be white but you will still hear the sound. In the particular example above, right clicking on the anymedia player screen, shows that it is using Adobe Flash Player 9.... at least on my computer it is. |
