The only problem is, when I try it any other location, it doesn't work. I get this message for every other place:

"Not Found

The requested URL /photoplog was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Alright, thanks.

Now, when I go there and try to go back to my home page, it doesn't allow me. I get this message:

"Not Found

The requested URL /photoplog/forums.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Any help? Please.

That's because there is no directory called photoplog/forums.php. Not unless you have a forum installed in a directory on your server called photoplog, which I suspect is highly unlikely. :)

Find the script at the begninning of post two of this thread, copy it and save it to a PHP file and upload it to your forum's root directory. Then navigate to that file in your browser and that's what you should put into your config file.

EagleNick 06-29-2008 12:54 AM

Here is my scenario:

I am currently running vB 3.6.9 and am soon going to upgrade to 3.7.2.

What do I do with PhotoPlog to upgrade it without losing any of the photos in the gallery?

Digital Jedi 06-29-2008 03:42 AM

Other then doing a backup of your database, and upgrading Photoplog to the most current version, you needn't do anything. Upgrading vB itself doesn't do anything to exisiting Photoplog tables or files.

heh... I just noticed that this isn't even a new version of Photoplog... so it doesn't need upgrading. lol

Okay, thanks.

i have this error but only when i click on the UPLOAD or SEARCH link within the photoblog main link which would be the index.php. kinda of weird, and i used the script to make sure the path is right. Any ideas on what to do. im looking at the link and it shows:

hxxp: www. MYSITE.com/photoblog so its missing the forums folder which would indicate where the search and upload files are. any ideas?

luv20ski 07-22-2008 10:50 AM

I have a problem. I just moved my site form one server to another and after this the plugin was not showing the pictures. It works properly i can upload new pics, i can see the new pics, i can see the categories. The problem is that it doesn't display the thumbnails of the pics uploaded before moving the site, neither in the gallery nor in the view picture page.
If i type the url of the pic shown in view picture page, i can see the picture.

Pls help me fix this problem.

Digital Jedi 07-22-2008 01:00 PM

You probably didn't update the file path and page for Photoplog in the Admin CP.

luv20ski 07-23-2008 12:23 PM

The Photoplog link and the upload directory are correctly set. And still doesn't show the images. Here is a picture.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ how the plugin looks like.

And i get a error when i'm trying to upload a picture , any kind of picture. The error is this : Sorry, rares: Bad Type - File is of the Wrong MIME Type

Digital Jedi 07-24-2008 05:38 AM

It would be easier to troubleshoot your problem if you linked us to your photoplog gallery.

You have to set the accepted MIME types in your Admin CP, and if you moved servers that often has an affect on your User Group settings, and in turn, file upload size permissions. You may have to reset them.

luv20ski 07-24-2008 11:20 AM

the link is this : www.skivirus.com/photo

I couldn't find the option to modify the MIME settings. I'm sort of a beginner in the vbulletin and i would be grateful if you could explain me step by step. Thanks

I have reset all the setting and it is still not working.

For some reason, your pictures are trying to link to a file.php instead of an image file. Are you sure your Photoplog link is set correctly?

Spank 08-29-2008 03:03 PM

Had this installed a few weeks on my board and I'm loving it. I wondered if a few thing were possible though:
  1. Is it possible to make the title field on comments mandatory? I don't like like having 'Untitled' displayed.
  2. Is it possible to make new gallery submissions appear in the vbulletin search reults (New Posts)
  3. Is it possible to alert the picture uploader of new comments on their work, preferably by the notifications in 3.7
  4. has anyone figured out how to add a watermark to the images?

Hope someone can help with these. :)

Gemilang 09-06-2008 07:47 AM

I've just installed PhotoPlog Lite v.2.0.7. It works well, except for one issue.

I have 2 categories set up, and within them, 2 subcategories each. I uploaded pictures into these categories and subcategories without problem, and can view them just fine.

However, Uploads and Last Upload column are not updating anymore as of today. They did for a while last night.

If this helps, I have 2 different template sets - one is the default vBulletin one, and the other is a customized set. The Photoplog templates in the vBulletin default set are untouched.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

gdguide 09-08-2008 01:00 AM

Weird. I can upload, the images show, can be clicked on, can be viewed when you click on the category that it's in....

But
it doesn't show that files have been uploaded in the main categories section. It shows 0 files have been added and says info is not available....

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/photoplog/

Any ideas?

Also, it shows random images on the top, but only 1 to 2 at a time, even though there seems to be room for like 3 or 4. Any way to set this to 4?

I had the same problem after switching from lighttpd to apache. The fix was to make the images folder 777 again.

cd to the photo directory, then:

chmod -R 777 ./images

For some reason after the switch, it was set to 755.

I have a forum with multiple subforums, and i am willing to know if i can show in each forum a category of photolog, but not the other ones.

I mean for example my sub forums are

Cars

travel

health

in each forum have a category of photoplog shown.

How could i do that?

Photoplog doesn't work that way. It's a separate page where you can have gallery categories separated there.

If you want to link to specific categories in Photoplog the way your suggesting, you can just create a subform and set if up as a link redirect to specific Photoplog categories.

nfn 09-27-2008 08:42 PM

Hi ...

I notice that "notices" don?t work with PhotoPlog 2.0.7.
I just add $notices to the function photoplog_output_page:

From
Quote:

global $vbphrase, $stylevar, $vbcollapse;
To
Quote:

global $vbphrase, $stylevar, $vbcollapse, $notices;

Just wondering if its possible to change File List to the actual category title. I tried changing the $vbphrase[photoplog_file_list] in photoplog_file_list to $photoplog_category_title but that just results in nothing being showing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

truespirit 10-10-2008 03:17 AM

I'm new to this vbulletin forum mod stuff and have a question - i know its probably simple but i just can't figure it out. here's my question-the directions say to edit the config.php file with the full path to your forum directory - OK what is my forum full path and where in the text do i place it (this is what i see when i open it up to edit it)

/ set the full path to your main forum directory: if you are not sure of
// the full path, look in your vB config file for $config['Misc']['forumpath']
// and see if there is a value present - if not, ask your host about it or
// try the getcwd function: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.getcwd.php

define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/full/path/to/forum');

Andyrew 10-10-2008 12:46 PM

I want the thumbnails larger but setting them to large makes no difference.
also what is controlling the size of the displayed picture after i click on the thumbnail.

You put it here the part i made red.....define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/full/path/to/forum');

Ask your host for your full path to your forums.

My Question:
I've installed the "Pic of the Day" AddOn, but in the Thread this AddOn put a wrong Link 2 the Thumbnail:

Wrong Link:
photoplog/images/1/5/8/0/medium/1_p1222.jpg

Right Link should B:
photoplog/images/1580/medium/1_p1222.jpg

Whats about that??

Thanx 4 Support!

Andreas

I would love to see an ability to upload more then 1 picture in same time...

abhimation 10-28-2008 10:14 AM

Seems i am asking for too much.

I already have a forum section for people to submit images and people to comment on them. By any chance can i convert that particular section into photoplog ?

Its hundreds of threads and images already in my forums..
