Hi, thanks for the excellent product.
In my case, I had normal backups in last server, vb4.0.6. Now new server, vb 4.1. Manual backups work, but the file is not created. So I get no error messages, but also no backup file on my directory. Permission is 777, and I get no permission error message. Any ideas? |

I only have one question, isn't setting the permissions to 777 just asking for your database to be accessible to anyone especially if you have your backup folder called something obvious like "backupfolder" or similar? Update: I changed my backup folder name to something not guessable, but also changed my permissions to 733, ran the backup and it worked fine. After changing the permissions I navigated to forum/*backupfile name* and got a 403 error (which is fine) but the backup is on the server. |
