There is proof you either didn't read it, or can't follow directions. In the instructions, it clearly states that if you are upgrading from 0.3.0+ no uninstall is needed. You fail.

The images must be uploaded in the images/misc/mgc_cb_evo/channels folder.

BBcode for email works.

Email icon works too. You didn't upload the email image in the images folder. ;)

You either didn't upgrade right, or install right. When it says copy ALL files, that means all. ;)

Your "issues" are from incorrectly reading install instructions and not correctly set settings.

bbcode doesnt work for me despite that i activated it... it only shows sdfsd on shoutbox

Email won't work by default. You have to enable it...
MGC Chatbox Evo / Chat Formatting and Sending / Allow the BBCODE Email <---Enable ;)
PM me a link to ur forum. I'll take a look. If you want, supply an account to check the MGC chat settings.... I'm positive it's user config.

I enabled that feature but the bbcode doesnt seem to be working. And yes ive uploaded all files now including the images

And it seems when i click the team icon it disappear. but when clicking to the other channel icon it appears again :S

Test the bbcode url, does it work for you? I think there has been a change from the BBCode settings in the version I have to the release one.

MGC Chatbox Evo / Advanced Options

Activate the who is in the chatbox display <--- Yes
Show online users list in a tab <--- No
Automatic who is in the chatbox refresh time delay <-- 5
Chatbox sessions validity time <-- 3

What should be selected I bolded. If you have what's there, it's on your end.

You didn't say if the bbcode issue is fixed. Can you type url's and emails and they work? I think this might be an actual problem but need to verify on other servers.

That's what the cron job is for. And the settings. Why would you want to manually remove all? I think you asked this a while back too.

Yeah, sounds like Vbdev might have a boo boo with the bbcode in this one.

Indeed I have asked this before, and why? Too much chat logs within the chat system is for some reason lagging the chat box itself.. It takes longer for messages to be shown within the chat box. If the chat box has no logs at all, the messages shows up much faster.

Open functions_mgc_cb_evo.php.

Search for :

well since FF|Skyrider got email bbcode issue aswell i dont need to do anything since he confirmed the issue right?

hm it seems the online list shows only my username color with the other user with same usergroup shows normal color :S

Really? I find that unlikely. Considering the one forum I run has about 3,000+ chats a day easily.

You are looking at what I call an backasswards solution. Instead change the history to something smaller then 300 ;)

I think I already answered you, you can do it in the archives but on a per page basis.

Otherwise you have to use the /del all command directly from the chatbox.

FF, It's gotta be the server or your settings. If you have to manually delete stuff it's more a task for you personally and proves a waste of effort/time/resources for YOU.

Let me get the settings I use. If you try this and you still have problems, then it's the server you are on. It = sucks

MGC Chatbox Evo / Chats Display >

Number of chats in the chatbox 100
Maximum number of displayed chats in the collapsed mode 5
Number of chats in full page mode 150
Chats display order Newest First

On some of my forums, I use even higher with virtually instant load. If that doesn't resolve it, PM me a screen shot of your chats display options..

Anyone downloading the chat prior to this post Sunday 7:35pm EST.....Re-Download it or fix this file... There was an issue with the BBCode not working. It's now resolved.

Hey guys,

Seems like the fact that I made a commands system creation is not very useful.

At least you appreciate it for the channel creation system but that all.

So I would like to know your advice on the subject, do you think I should:
  1. Let the chatbox as it is currently: requires time to install, allows commands and channel creations, forbid the use of some commands in all channels (like the /me command).
  2. Or, rewrite the chatbox code so that it : requires far less time to install, allow only channel creations.
In the second solution, commands would still be the same but would only be added at install and then you could activate/deactivate it as before.

I'm very sure I've edited the right file, I've even searched for a specific line and they were identical with the first code you placed and replaced it with your second code. It didn't worked for me.

Unless you plan to goto an XML one click install I'd not change how anything is done. That should be what your decision is based on.

I'd rather have more options then some stripped down chat. That's what separates this chat from the others.

Re-download the zip file again. Overwrite all. Fixed.
