I agree. I get subscription emails for this thread, and there is usually an arguement going on about every little detail.

AnyMedia works just fine for me and for what I do with it and has since I converted from phpBB. It's a MAJOR improvement over phpBB's HTML bbcode hack and using embed code for wmv/flash/etc and although I would like a stability upgrade for 3.6.x, I'm happy that AnyMedia is working on my site the way it should (er, the way it is deciding to work happens to be the way I need it to work :D )

There are fixes for YouTube and Google media posting (such as Adult SEO's hack) and there are BBCodes available to use.

Part of me desires to keep the simplicity of the features of AnyMedia and another part desires to see the new features Adult SEO has in store. (maybe two versions would be in order?) I do, however, intend to thoroughly test out the new Anymedia on my WAMP test ground before making any changes to what already works. You know the saying. :)

i have a lot of files, they don't be run :(

i installed everything and got to the step to customize the usergroup settings but when i go in to modify an usergroup nothing about anymedia comes up...

any ideas what i might have done wrong?

How come sometimes the videos just stop working and show a white screen, yet the sound from them is still playing??
Seems it often happends when I edit a thread with a media link, the media stops working and no matter what it remains white screen with sound only, even if i make a new thread with the same video link, its only sound with white screen....

please, any clues anyone? - pic below of the white screen...

Now if I remove the "if" tags the media image shows... but once when I add the if statements nothing shows..

I have enabled the plugin in the options and set the usergroups correctly.. but still unsure what the hack is not working

Ok I got the "M" image to show up by doing the following

AFTER you turn it on..

you need to go and edit permissions..

once you do that it will work..

Install.. Turn On.. Edit Permissions...

all done

But I don't see the attachment link...

Ok I see now... once you submit the thread/post when you view the media you can see the download link

You have google, youtube, vsocial, etc.........working with this current upgrade?

I have found while digging through the code, that vsocial isn't even on the correct player anymore.......if you go in your admincp, vbulletin options, anymedia, and scroll down to the very bottom, and click on the Vsocial link, it is dead......instead of being stewie.vsocial.com, it is now static.vsocial.com

Which i just upgrade, to in my .xml.........

This is working for me with vb 3.6.4 with one exception. Youtube video links with hyphens in (when the URL has a hypen in it) them won't embed correctly (shows a blank window)

Anybody have a fix for this?

The google and youtube videos, sometimes when a visitor enters the topic the player is showing a white page. So, they have to go back and enter the topic till the players appears.

I think most of the people whom are using it on 3.6.4 are having this problem. Adult seo is going to add the original player from the publisher, like: the youtube videos will appear on youtube flash player etc. I dont want that, just want to keep it simple and fast with one flash player for all the flash files.

So the problem that i am facing is that the flash videos are showing with white pages (mostly google and youtube)...

This is just a great hack, I still wish that the maker could just make some small adjustments

Is anyone else having a bit of trouble with displaying Windows Media files with WMP 11 installed? Mine will display it correctly at first but then cut the size by half. I don't understand it. Is there a setting that needs to be changed in WMP or in anymedia?

I have installed this mod on vBulletin® Version 3.6.4 and it is working great. My only complaint is that after I installed it the progress bar when uploading has disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this and if so know how to fix it so I can get the progress bar back????
