Thank you, Stratis! I'll install that. Of course a determined troll can get round that just by registering from a coffee shop, but anything that makes their lives more difficult is still worth it.

There is an updated version of this thread's mod in the vbulletin mods forum - http://vbulletin-mods.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5909 - but I can't download and try it until my first two posts there have been approved by a moderator. Fingers crossed that one'll work.

Actually, you don't need different computer to avoid detection.

Also, it would be really sad if this great addon stop working in latest vB. I'm still not on latest vB, but it is really great protection from less tech savvy users.

I just reinstalled VB 4.2.5 thinking I had an outdated config.php. As it turns out, they are still using 4.2.2 config file.

Not sure what mods, if any are being affected. Only that when I save changes in admincp, I get two lines of errors for line 1032. Even after I disabled hooks.
