Had a question for you. Is there anyway to get the max text amount over 5000 i need it to be around 5600-6000. Some of are forms a very large.

That is likely a vBulletin setting for the max characters per post. You can change that in the settings (Message Posting options, I believe).

I must not be looking in the right areas or something. Is there a way to edit the top part of a form when they are looking to fill it out.

Friends, i have very strange question...pls help.

1. Admin of forms create form with option save to DB and posting result to forum.
2. User fill out and submit.
3. User wants to change its, and send PM to admin of forms. Example: @I made a mistake with Number of places, I have not 3, i wanna 4".

5. But, in autopost 3 not changed on 4!

Ok, I tried this, but then I have to go back to all the usergroups and change their permissions to allow attachments and then they can view the attachments box.

Is there a way to add a short "Upload" button that just says, "browse for photo" or something to that effect without having to give sitewide attachment permissions??

I need an "Upload Photo" button that can be used if the form is being sent to email, rather than posted to thread and submission of photo is Required- not optional.

Is there anyway to make one form lead to another ? I am thinking of a basic workflow.

User submits form and becomes a new thread in a subgroup, admin opens it and after some checks can click another button somewhere which will grab the information n that form to populate another form that will do things like add a user to a group, move a thread to a different forum and send a pm to the original user.

I can get everything working (I think) using two seperate forms but I'd love to tie them together so the admin doesn't have to cut and paster from one submitted form to another open form.

Haven't used forms since upgrading to 4.2.0.

Just started using them again and I've found that it's dumped all the permission settings from the AdminCp-->Options-->Settings-->Easy Forms and won't save them when they're reset!

Anyone experienced this and anyone know a fix?

EDIT: Problem solved: for some reason, would not save settings when accessed with "show all settings" but would save permissions fine when the individual Easy Forms option was chosen from the list.

Is there any way to allow a user to upload/manage attachments to a previously submitted form, if they are able to edit previously submitted records?

I am having a problem where I press create a form, press "save" and then on the next screen modify something, hit "save" again and it redirects me to the forum rules. So stumped, anyone got any idea?

is this possible i want my forum private so permission are set so unregistered users cant see forum .

but i would like to use this as an app to enter if approved i send them a invite ive added the app link to navbar and added permissions but still no access

Note: Many of the bugs mentioned above, e.g., the "navigate away from this page" popup, are cause by using the ckEditor in your form. In particular, note that you can NOT have more that one editor field on a form or the form will not submit.

Workaround: Change any ckeditor items to multline text fields.

I have duplicated my live site domain/vb to a test site domain/vbtest and upgrade from vB 4.1.11 to vB 4.2.0pl2. I have also created a new database and restored a backup of the live site to the test database. I adjusted the config settings so the test site is functioning as expected, with one exception. The Forms tab and the Forms Quicklinks menu item are missing. The form processing is working as expected, and I can get to the forms.php page when needed to modify the forms. In my live site I access the forms through redirects based on code examples you provided. That also is working in the test site. The only thing failing is the Forms tab and the Forms Quicklinks menu.

I uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. Any ideas? Is this related to the upgrade?

Well I get this message every time somebody tries to submit the form the user gets the following error - I also get it as admin if I click on the edit question link however if I right click on the link I can open it in a new tab

I've recently updated to 4.3.0 and found a couple of bugs which it would be great to get fixed:

• [Major] After submission as unregistered user in "verification stage" fields which are marked guest only are removed. This can prevent submission if they are marked compulsory
• "Allow attachments" causes non-existent verification image to be checked at submission for unregistered users
• Styling is broken on human verification field if label is hidden

Still an Epic Mod could not live without it.

I have a problem that I have been banging my head on the wall with. I currently have it set up that users are assigned different usergroup based on what options they pick. I would like to take it a step further and based on these same options it PM's a predefined usergroup or users. Here is my try. I believe the field for PM is incorrect possibly even the code.

So for every additional option selected it should add more users to the PM. Would like it to be a usergroup since its always changing ,but can live with individual users.

I am getting this error everytime my member tried to submit a form, even though i have put Human Verification Captcha inside the Form, and they type it correctly.

I don't see how Spam bots could be an issue unless perms allow Guests to submit.

We are wanting to set up a few forms to act like a database of sorts, and would like the navigation buttons (shown while viewing each form or results) to change depending on the form they have open.

For example, there are two forms, one for adding details about your pets and another for adding details about your shoes. While viewing the form itself or the Results, we'd like the button images to be customized to say "View Form" to"Add New Pet" / "Add New Shoes", or "View Form Results" to "View Pets" / "View Shoes", etc.

If that makes sense? Is there a conditional that I could use to modify those sorts of things?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anybody was having the issue of the form menu not appearing in the navbar or in the quick links section and had fixed it. I've checked all the permissions a bunch of times and changed the styles thinking maybe I did something but nothing seems to work. Hey, thanks for the answer. I thought about doing it before but I guess I just didn't. Last question though, how can I make it so that the new tab can only be seen by Administrators? Under 'Show permission name' I tried putting in like administrator and such but of course it didn't work. I'm not sure on how to do that, I was just playing around with that.

PS: Is it possible to make the form post in 2 different threads? I see it says Post New Thread and allows me to select 1 so I thought maybe a little edit somewhere could make it so that it's capable of posting in 2?

HI - I have tried to find an answer in and amongst the 100 pages here but it is difficult to search for "PM" as your issue!

My Easy Form isn't sending notification PMs to the two names in the settings. I have installed it on Version 4.2.0 (I had the previous version working on older version forum and had no issues with it).

Is there anything obvious I should be looking for? Any setting or permission I may have missed?
