I'll admit it now -- I haven't read back through all the pages and pages of stuff here to find my answer. Hopefully, someone will help me out, anyway.

I have version 1.2.0 of this installed, and I'm running vbulletin 3.7.0. For some reason, it's not running video from putfiles. Can anyone help?

Another vote for Google Maps. They do provide an embed code.

They do, but that's not all that is required to make a working definition. The most crucial aspect is being able to reference consistent and pertinent data in either the URL or the source page. I've worked on this for quite a while, and for the moment, the problem lies in the fact that the pertinent data is not able to be referenced.

I'll need some examples of the links that aren't converting for you so I can troubleshoot them.

In the example you sent me, take a look at the destination page the video is on. It's not Putfile's standard media player. It's a WMV file playing locally. AME can only create one embed code per definition. When sites split their media up like this and don't provide anything distinguishing in their URL strings, there's nothing that can be done. I'm actually considering dropping a couple of sites because they started splitting their media up excessively.

Thanks! That explains it perfectly!!! Appreciate the help.

Ok. Here is a link: http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/s...video-review-1
Adding that link will embedd the video player, but will show some strange characters inside the post (that don't appear on editing). Something like
Code:

[url="
and then at the bottom of the post
"]GameSpot Video: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Video Review 1

I've seen it do this before. This only happens during editing, doesn't it? All it's doing, for some reason I don't quite understand, is adding another [url] tag to the front of the post. Just repaste the raw link and will edit properly.

Unfortunatelly, when editing, it looks perfect. Even pasting again looks ok. Only when viewing it looks strange. Here is an example (maybe it helps).

Checked... twice. Even re-imported the definition. Doesn't help :)
