I have no markers.

Am I right in saying this should show all online users (logged in or not) providing I set the permissions to say so?

I seem to be able to enter my own marker. But that's not what I wanted this for. Is there an issue with the Google API or this mod just being seriously out of date?

I'm on 3.7.2 on this particular forum, though I'd try it on 3.8 but I suspect it wouldn't work on that either.

Make sure that you are not behind a firewall.

I have an issue with this... I attempt to enter any info, when i click the button, i am redirected back to my main forum page without images....

vb 3.8.3 and the current version vbgooglemap

got me puzzled

lowfd 07-06-2009 11:10 PM

G'day, Sorry if it has been asked before but is it possible to get the code which would let me integrate this into a post? I can display the vbgooglemapme.php in a post using an IFRAME, it just shows the full forum header and footer around it - I'd just need those removed.

I attempted to modify the php file but I couldn't really figure it out.

lowfd 07-06-2009 11:11 PM

Nevermind I found out it created a template in my theme which I can change. False alarm!

kalisekj 07-07-2009 06:13 PM

I installed and marked installed, unfortunately the Map is NOT showing up, I get the legend and the colored markers are set for each usergroup. http://freeonlinemoviesforum.com/vbg...hp?do=showmain Does anyone know why the map will not show up? I have put all images in their proper places and more. in /images, in images/futuris/, in images/futuris/misc, as well as just placing the image file in each directory. VB3.8.2, Ran Cron Job, chmod 777 the xml file, and enabled for all user groups to see. Did the API Key Signup and put in the API Key. In admincp I also get "No Elements available" When I click on ME Full View Or Unapproved View. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the product. I have tried a API key with and without www.

Flood 07-08-2009 10:23 PM

hi guys. Installed this and it worked fine for about a day. Now its not showing up any pins. Although i have noticed that when i click on the page, IE brings up an error on the bottom left

Dont you hate it when a mod has the https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/06/10.gif icon but no one even attempts to give you any help? I think the Supported Pic should be removed from mods in which no one cares to give help on. ;)

zimdude 07-10-2009 04:59 PM

Is there a way to pull the address/zip from custom fields in the database that we already have. We run a closed community forum for a franchise and want to see all the franchisees on the map. A nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated :)

Cplkaos 07-12-2009 09:37 AM

3.5.STEP 5
Refresh the full admincp page by clicking refresh/reload. You’ll see a Vbgooglemap ME
link available on the left navigation.

I have uploaded all the files and followed the instructions to the dot (I think) however I cant see the link on the left hand navigation.

Using VB 3.8.2.

Any one out there able to shed a bit of light on the matter??

Cheers in advance!!!

kalisekj 07-19-2009 05:13 AM

Bummer This Mod Is Not Working On My 3.8.2 , no Map Shows Up at all. AND NO SUPPORT OBVIOUSLY!

David Regimbal 08-25-2009 02:17 AM

I'm having a problem with this too. I confirmed members but they don't show on the map nor in the user list. I followed all the instructions and everything.

As far as the map not showing, make sure you have latitude and longitude filled in and not left empty in the settings. I have mine just set to 0

lpetrich 08-25-2009 04:52 AM

I'd installed this add-on in a vBulletin 3.8.2 installation, and it has worked fine in 3.8.3 and 3.8.4.

You may want to review the fixes and additions mentioned in this thread by ZeroHour and myself -- had you added them? ZeroHour's fix of the XML-file generation successfully gets rid of the malformed XML that causes the markers to disappear.

Itchy Nips 08-27-2009 04:44 PM

this was working perfectly until now. One of my users noticed that only 1 pin is appearing on the map. Everyone's entries are still there...they're just not showing up on the map

any ideas?

Tolden 09-19-2009 12:23 PM

I installed the application, I can see my pin when I click the menue point for my own link, but on the start map the pin is not visible. What am I doing wrong?

Could you please list what changes we need to do?

lpetrich 09-26-2009 09:58 PM

Various bug fixes and feature additions by ZeroHour, Falcon Capt, and myself:

ZeroHour: marker-display fix
Keeps info-balloon text from causing XML-parsing errors and aborting the marker display if it contains certain characters

Me: several
Me: markers
Me: terrain display
Me: marker positions
Mouse-over showing username when info balloon is absent
Mousewheel zooming
Marker in location editor becomes vbGM red marker
Marker position in map fixed; it "points" to the right place
Added the option to show the terrain maps
Centers image in info balloon and imposes maximum size

Control of info balloon:
Admin CP > Vbgooglemap ME > ME Settings > Enable the mouseover support on the markers?
Set to No

Falcon Capt: position and zoom as URL args
Changed $HTTP_GET_VARS(...) to $_GET(...)[/QUOTE]

DeanoUK 09-27-2009 10:55 AM

Any ideas as to why the cron won't run anymore?

hello i upgraded my 3.6 board to 3.8.4 but now the pins are gone. i used the fix from a few posts befor and now i can see the ballon tips but not the pins. when i try to start the cron job i get the following error msg:

Googlemap ME Cron
Cannot open XML File

when someone trys to put a pin on the map, the same error apears.

ckgreenman 01-21-2010 12:56 AM

Ok I'm at a loss. No matter what I try I can't get the pins to show up with the mouseover enabled.

I installed 3.0.1 today and did the missing marker fix in post 1697 and the only way I can get the pins to show up is to disable mouseover.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sworm 01-21-2010 06:02 PM

Will be release a vb4 version too?

ckgreenman 01-25-2010 02:38 AM

One more thing. Anyone know how to integrate Google latitude? I run a Sailing site and from time to time our users like to publish their passages in real time. It would be cool to allow them to post their position using Google Latitude.

That would be HUGE for us too. We are a fishing site and to enable our users to make posts about a specific lake they had visited lately would be a killer app.

From reading the PDF manual this has a Creative Commons 2.5 license.

So this cannot be used for any paid forums, is this correct?

fulviods 06-19-2010 03:22 PM

does it work on vb4?

work on vb 4.0.7?

nuTTTz 09-22-2010 08:02 PM

We are currently running 4.0.7 and would LOVE to have this mod on our site.

Any word on a 4xx version??

hotrodbiker 09-23-2010 11:50 PM

Hasn't worked in a couple of years.

accludetuner 11-04-2010 01:38 PM

For those who are still having issues with the markers / pins showing up, I figured out what the cause was. I had a script within my footer that displayed ads. One of the ads was googleadsense. I don't know if it was the ad display script or the google adsense script that made my markers disappear, but removed the $footer from the VBGOOGLEMAPME template, and pasted the code from the footer template in there instead and just removed the ad script/adsense script and my markers are back!

It works fine on VB 3.8.5 and 3.8.6PL1. If you have issues with the markers showing, look into other scripts in the header or footer that are interfering, probably google adsense.

Wird es für VB 4.x mal eine Version geben oder ist das Projekt tot?

I have it working on 4.1 But there could be major issues installing it that i have no idea how to fix. :)

If mine ever quits i guess i'll have to just uninstall it.

vsforums 04-23-2013 03:58 PM

Anyone any idea how to get this fixed?
"The Vbgooglemap Member Edition is currently not available please check again later." I have reinstalled the pluggin but still nothing. It is enabled, so that's not the case. It used to work, but all the sudden stopped.
