You know, I have all Phalynx mods installed, they're all well designed and work great. It's very easy to see through his mods he really took a lot of time and dedication on them and also checking his mods threads he always offered not only a great support but also accepted tons of suggestions on his updates.
You may probably see, coders/designers like him through vborg are very rare those days.

I do need some upgrading on his mods to 4.0 and hope to see Phalynx back to activety soon and whish he's in good health condition. :up:

for a complete kill use ZIP\extras\Remove vBExperience\upload_via_ftp\admincp\kill_xperience .php

But the kill_experience.php is in theire, its not possible to delete it.

You need to run that file, not delete it. Once you do that, it will completely wipe vBXP from your forum.

Does anyone have any clue or any news or idea if this mod is going to be upgraded to 4.0.1? It's a big mod that has made a big hit on these forums...Please tell me someone is upgrading it... because its a big part of our forums and kept our forums active.

What is the criteria for a mod to have that big "Supported" Check Mark at the top of a mod's page?

The only person who could tell you that is developer. If he hasn't responded in some time, it's either because he's upgrading the modification or doesn't have the time to respond. We're just going to have to wait and see.

Also, it was requested by the moderators that we wait and see when modifications will be upgraded, or keep an eye on the 4.0 forums, rather than posting the query within 3.x threads.

It's a manual tick box in the thread settings when you post or edit your modification. vB.org doesn't interfere or determine why that's checked, only the author does.

Author has marked "Not Supported" recently and has been 4+ months since any word on support on the calculation issue.

The board "ignores" the bot, but calculates the bot's posts into the overall PPD calculation.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this issue? :confused:

Is it possible to buy a quantity larger than 1 from the shop? I want to be able to buy 10 of one item at once, for example, and it's very tedious having to go through the steps multiple times. It helps a little to hit the back button at just the right time, but it's not ideal.

Likewise, is it possible to give away the same item to multiple people at once? (e.g. if I want to give away 10 angels to 10 different people at once).

Yea to bad that he checked off unsupported with out any feedback in the thread ... It will be a shame to see this mod not get moved over to VB 40-- Was a great add on and a great supported product ..

I've just noticed that the recently released v3arcade v2.0 isn't compatible with vbexperience, I get a database error now when trying to update the experience counts. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I really hope you stick to it and don't forget. I will stay subscribed to this thread and check each day for response.

And no one seems to have a budget to let someone else build it.

How do you plan to maintain the Release?

What happens when the major changes we have been told to expect with each point release of vBulletin 4.x occur? (There are likely to be major rewrites required.)

What about if a security issue is found and the mod is quarantined?

ie: People have come to expect a certain level of support for this complex mod, and you've been chosen to continue that. How do you plan to do that?

I just replied to the paid request regarding updating this mod, I must have missed the "will be released" part. If you're not a coder, FreeResellers, you shouldn't be taking over this mod, jmho.

However, I do have a bit of experience with vB4, and have released several hacks. Phalynx, would you allow me to take this over? I'd do the update and release it for free.

One thing I do not understand...why don't you both update it and then privately compare and test it to see which best works and just release it I guess under FreeResellers name and you SecondV be the other coder added to additional support coders list or whatever it's called under the mod's name.

I am a formal developer/coder with Net2FTP, so I do know how PHP works.
My knowledge of vBulletin is to small at this moment, that is why I ask a for a coder to make this huge upgrade to 4.0.

My plan to continue this mod is to make a small forum within my own board where people can help me develop/code the updates. In exchange for their help, they can recieve money and/or a link to their own website in the vBexperience thread.

Well I hope someone upgrades it .. I dont care who .. This has always been a great free and supported mod and i hope this continues ....

He's probably trying to confirm if Phalynx was aware that, when Freeresellers told him he had 'some' experience with vB modding, that Freeresellers meant he had some experience installing and using them, and zero in coding them.

I'm referring to the post where Phalanx says, have at it.

Gotta be honest: as someone who's been using vBExperience for nearly two years now (LBPCentral.com and MNRCentral.com), I'm much more comfortable with the idea of SecondV taking over than someone who doesn't understand vBulletin. Especially if FreeResellers will be asking anyone and everyone on his site to provide code for it - that just seems like one too many people involved, definitely a recipe for future bugs and other issues. SecondV: if you manage to get in touch with Phalynx, tell him you have my support.

Well how about this... I have a better idea.. Because we are all here for the same reason, just to see this upgraded right?

If you manage to update vbexperience, PM us, or at least me please, and I will test it, and we could then determine who does it the fastest (which shows who's more into it) and see who's is more bug free.
