Hey Is Blip.tv link working with you guys..I can't get it to work..youtube and dailymotion works fine...if it's working with anyone please let me know how and what you added for the definitions..I've installed both the Blip (Permalink).xml & Blip (Show Pages).xml and what I only get is a video player of Blip.tv but different video tiltle which says 301 Moved Permanently

I deactivated other youtube definitions and it seems to work again. But still have some trouble.... it does not show the title of the youtube video, see this for example

youtu.be is a redirect page to the real youtube.com - so I have never been able to get titles to work with youtu.be links since the page doesn't have a title really- it's just a redirect.

If you need the title you will have to paste in the full youtube url instead of the youtu.be URL.

It's not really a big a deal since youtube displays the title in the video window itself.

Ok, thanks. But I noticed that disabling all youtube definitions did not help with the problem: See this:

I have disabled all youtube definitions, and still it's screwed ...

Why?

PS. When I manually edit all older posts with youtube videos inside then it works well. But I can't manually edit all 10000 posts
The weird thing is: everything was working as expected until a few days ago. And we did not change a thing?!

UPDATE:
needed to update the post cache. seems to work now. but do you know how to get a larger youtube video window?

It's because they are cached that way. It's probably only one or two weeks of posts affected- now that it's working properly the old posts will get fixed in time.

I don't know of any way to speed this up other than to manually edit and re-save each post.

But in time it will get back to normal.

Also I was thinking about your youtu.be issue- I made a quick mod that will change youtu.be to youtube.com so it will always use the real youtube.com URL.

THank you so much for your help. But now I ran into another huge problem (not with this mod but with the vbcredits charge code).

I had to refresh the post cache in the admin control panel. And after I did this the charge-bbcode stopped working. There should be links inside the charge-codes, not random numbers.

THat's wrong:
[charge=200]8174[/charge]

should be:
[charge=200]my secret content[/charge]

any idea on how to fix this?

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with vbcredits or the charge code at all. Sorry. Best to ask in the vbcredits thread, I'd imagine someone must have rebuilt their post cache with that mod before.

Off hand I would look at the instructions that came with vbcredits, maybe there is another "rebuild" option to run they tell you about.

I installed the local definitions to play mov Videos and changed congoline to our URL without the ".de" but it still shows me only the URL and not the player. What have I done wrong?

Right, it pretty much ONLY works with the English language domain. The problem is none of the foreign language domains use the same, or consistent, HTML code. I tried around a dozen different languages, and for some reason, only English had the consistent source code I need to make consistent matches.

And if I'm correct, you may find that no two Turkish pages are the same, from start to the first image file. It's unfortunate, really, because I really wanted to make it international.

The trick, though, will be getting to the image file. The problem I ran into is only the English pages use the same string of code for formatting images.

Probably a longshot here but the easports one is not working.. I even used the xml single defintion he posted in the middle of the thread and that just tells me video not found but it actually load the player. when i use the master list one it load an all white player with a link in the usual spot at top...

any ideas?

A lot of these websites have changed since I last got to work on them. EA Sports, in particular, just likes to mess with me for the heck of it. I will try to give you guys some kind of an update, if not a comprehensive one, in a few days or weeks.

This is great news that the dev is updating the definitions. I was just going to come here to suggest we compile all the user made fixes into a new xml. But this is even better thanks for working on an update.

I don't see any changes to Vimeo's embed code or URLs. It's possible I updated during my absence, but my version is working fine. Maybe try the definition I release on the next Master XML update.

I'm currently not able to test 2K Sports, because the site's videos are not loading for me at all. There is a separate definition for Community links, but they could have changed the URLs again. I'll keep checking back to see if it's just a problem with my connection.

Mostly updates in this package, as that's what I've been working on all week. Did a little condensing, adding and updating to existing websites, so check my notes below so you know what's what. It's important. Really. For those of you wanting just the new stuff, I've added those updates here in one XML. But you need to delete some stuff for it to work properly.

UPDATES
Blip - I've updated Blip (Show Pages) and added a general Blip definition, which we didn't have before. Please delete the definition called Blip (Permalink)

Break - I've condensed most Break definitions to just two: Break and Break (User Content). You'll no longer need Break (Originals), Break (Classics) and Break (Game Trailers). So please delete those three

EA Sports - Updated EA Sports and should no longer autoplay

eBaum's World - Updated eBaums's World and added eBaum's World (Old) for older URL strings. However, eBaum's World (Audio) is intermittently working now, and I'm not really sure why. Still working on this

GameVideos - Also updated

IGN - Updated the IGN definition and added IGN (Old)

Justin.TV - You'll no longer need Justin.TV (Live) and Justin.TV (Clips). Please delete them and use the one Justin.TV definition in this XML

MySpace - Updated MySpace and added MySpace (Old) for older links

Photobucket - Updated Photobucket (Videos) and added Photobucket (Direct Link) for the URLs provided by Photobucket

Ustream - Updated Ustream (Live) and Ustream (Recorded)

YouKu - Also updated YouKu and YouKu (Playlists)

YouTube - Updated YouTube, YouTube (Playlists), YouTube (User Profiles), Last FM (YouTube), PC Planets (YouTube Videos) to use YouTube's new iframe embed code. Also added support for YouTu.be short links called, you guessed it, YouTube (Short URL)

NEW DEFINITIONS
BBC International - I'm afraid I was only able to make this work with international BBC videos. English BBC doesn't provide compatible content for AME

Loombo - Video hosting website

SoundCloud - Included and tweaked a SoundCloud definition by StoneDragon. Also added support for SoundCloud (Playlists)
