If you want to completely disable the LDM Recent Hits and LDM Recent Entries, then go to the Plugins Manager and disable the LDM plugins: "Member Profile My Latest LDM entries" and "Member Profile What's Viewed List."

If you want to keep the LDM profile blocks enabled but make them private so that only the owner can view it, then each user needs to go to VB's "Edit Profile" page and type anything (as the instruction says) into the "My Recent LDM Entries" and "My Recent LDM Hits" fields.

There used to be a way to do this, but I can't find it now. I need to mass delete all downloads that were uploaded by one specific user.

To mass delete entries, go to "LDM settings" on the left side of the VB AdminCP, then click "Mass Edits" on the left side of LDM AdminCP, then click the category in which the entries you want reside (if it's a subcategory, then you need to first click the '+' button next to the parent category), then click the "mass edit" link on the right side of the table. Check the boxes next to the entries that you want to delete, then click the "Delete" button, then click Submit. Unfortunately, the table doesn't list the users who created the entries, so you will need to know the entries' titles. To mass edit entries, follow the same steps except edit the desired fields.

If you want the recent ldm hits and view to still appear in the users profile in 3.8.0 then go to pluggin manager find LDM member_customfields and change
PHP Code:

case "3.7"

for
PHP Code:

case "3.8"

do that in the views pluggin too, it works for me!

readjono 01-13-2009 08:13 PM

Oh I've upgraded to 3.8 and notice I'm not getting anything working when I click the links.

:( :(

readjono 01-13-2009 09:18 PM

Getting the feel I'll have to bin it now.

obmob 01-13-2009 11:31 PM

Oh... i also updated to 3.8 and seems to be working fine O.o

readjono 01-14-2009 06:34 AM

Anyone who is geeky enough to know a lot about this install and would be prepared to have a look please let me know.

What version are you running in 3.8? And have you got music files running?

Any tips what I could try? :(

Hi everybody

I installed that mod on a 3.7.0 vb version without problem. I can activate the plugin and then have the link in the navbar. The problem is that I keep on having a message saying I didn't have rights for admin or even go to the mod. What I don't understand is that I'm admin on my forum with all the rights. Where can I search?

Thanks

If someone 's got some ideas?

Oh... no, no videos, just images and files, i wonder if that's the problem. I run gold version.

It could well be. I got my host to debug it and they've added in some script (don't ask me what!) which has prevented the lag which stopped files from being streamed. It's not perfect so I would advise users to treat the MP3 aspect on 3.8 with caution.

flup 01-19-2009 04:59 PM

this is sooooooo huge :P I have no clue where to start with this hack.. i'll find out tomorrow..

Ophelia 01-20-2009 05:57 PM

If you have upgraded to 3.8, can you report if things have continued to work okay?

Yeah, I know how to do this part. In previous versions there was the ability to see what files a specific user had uploaded, but it doesn't appear to be in there anymore :( Thank you though!

obmob 01-20-2009 09:48 PM

Hmm... well, my sites are very simple, at least serving images and files are working as usual. :p

MissKalunji 01-20-2009 09:51 PM

yeah i can confirm i just upgraded to 3.8...almost done reverting or applying my changes

and this is still working thank you lord

Yeah oddly the problem is intermittent. Sometimes I get an error, sometimes I don't.

Hey all! This script has been working fab for me for the past few months of using it! Thanks.

I recently installed Firefox to my computer but now I've just noticed that I can't press the "Browse" button when I want to upload a file.

Anyone have any ideas? Cheers

DJDrew 01-29-2009 12:30 PM

Ah just tried it out on internet explorer but got the same issue.

Maybe it was when I upgraded to the latest vBulletin?

Drew

I am using 3.8.1 and just tried to upload a file, worked perfect, i could browse for files if i was using IE or FF. It must be a firewall or pop up blocker or something.

i have a proplem in upload

Please Help

Possible inconsistencies between LDM and its environment

- Parameter upload_enabled is enabled but parameter upload_dir is not set
- Parameter upload_dir points to a non-existent or inaccessible directory (maybe check open_basedir?)
- upload_max_filesize 100M >= post_max_size 8M in php.ini file - Large uploads may fail without warning

- web server DocRoot /usr/local/apache/htdocs seems to point to a non-existent directory

upload_dir

my upload dir is /uploads

I recently uninstalled your LDM, since then I have been getting alot of errors resulting from uninstalltion. (I can only assume that LDM is the cause because all of the errors i'm getting all have local_links.php in the url, which comes with LDM.

Here are the following errors I am receiving:

Quote:

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.1:

Invalid SQL:
select phrasegroup_local_links from language where languageid = 1;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'phrasegroup_local_links' in 'field list'

I have gotten these same two errors about 20 times now.

If you know of any way to solve this problem please let me know.

have u used the 'LDM Kill' extra module to fully delete this mod? u can find it in the installation package u downloaded for this mod.

also try repairing your database in the vbulletin adminCP under 'Maintenence' and 'Repair / Optimize tables'

Hi Andrew,

I was wondering if there's a conditional that can be used if you're in a certain category, similar to 'this_script', ie. if catid=8, etc.

Thanks for such a great mod!

thunder_sti 01-31-2009 02:45 PM

Would it be possible if a member download pictures to be watermarked automatically ?

Vaupell 01-31-2009 09:01 PM

Primary concern is it possible to make this act as a gallery with the images remote hostet ?
dont mind thumbs stored local, but dont want user uploads. but links/gallery would be sweet.

Has already announced how it's going with Andrew? And what does this mean for the development of the Links & Downloads Manager?

Oh... so many questions, and unfortunately there seems to be no news about Andrew's health. :(

Underlab 02-04-2009 06:47 AM

For some reason i cant get vb to make files max size over 2MB, I put in numbers but the max it states is 2mb underneath the browse to upload.

I cant upload more than 2MB and that kind of sux.

when i try to upload an mp3 (which most are over 2mb) I get this error
Upload error - size of uploaded file exceeds upload_max_filesize directive in your php.ini

I set my upload_max_filesize to 100mb and post_max_size to 200mb ( or however your wiki told me to do)

Attachments of mp3's are set to over 50000000 bytes

upload_maxspace
Total filespace available for all uploads - 20G

Where does 2MB come into play?

Also I installed the swf uploader, and it greys my browse box so i cant even upload. But when i turn it off, my uploader is still grey, where is the swf uploader? My goal is to have people upload MP3's so I need it to be at least 10mb max file size.

I am having no luck.

Anybody help PLEEEEEEAAASSSEEE!!!!!!!!!!

That's something set in your server config, some webhosts allow you to put a new php.ini inside your web's root.

Ask your webhost :D

Did you check the type of file?

It looks like the path to the file is incorrect. I have been using LDM for years without a problem, over 25k files downloads a week. Send me a PM with your information and I can try to help you.
