Well thanks Digital Jedi for your assistance, actually I am able to view the admin panel of photoplog that means all the files must have been uploaded correctly via ftp if files had not been uploaded correctly in ftp most likely I would not be able to view photplog options inside ACP.

After viewing and providing the path inside the option I am still getting a white blank page, not sure why, even providing the right path in config.php.

Any help will be much appreciated guys........:)

Digital Jedi 02-29-2008 04:34 PM

FTP clients have been known to drop files during upload. That's why I suggested reuploading them, as you could have some and not others. Also, when I view your site, I get an Internal 500 Error, and not a blank page.

Did you happen to run the script that verfies your file path to be sure it's correct?

Well I am not that techy person can you please explain how to run script and from where to verify the path, are you suggesting to check through ssh from my plesk for the exact path ?? if yes than that I already checked.

a quick question, do I need to put the same full path in the acp of photoplog as I did in the config.php??

Thanks for your assistance.

It's something Calorie mentions in the trouble shooting guide. What you do is you take this code:
PHP Code:

<?php
echo getcwd();
?>

And save it as a PHP file. Name it whatever you wish, upload it to the folder you keep your forum in. Then type in the location of that file in your browser. So, say you name it filepath.php. That means that if your forum is located in the folder you named baithak, you would upload it to that folder, and then type in http://meraraabta.com/site/baithak/filepath.php into your browser window. That will give you the full file path that you should put in your Photoplog config.php file.

As for your question about the ACP, no, in the Admin CP you'll want to put the full URL of your Photoplog, which will look very different from the full File Path of your forum.

aamirkhj 02-29-2008 05:34 PM

Ok thank you Digital Jedi once again for your kind assistance I am away from my PC and I am going to try out in about few hours and will post a comment later on here, I think this tip will help, I was doing a littel mistake in not putting the full path in acp,

Thanks and much appreciated.

Digital Jedi, this tip is really helpful in finging the exact path, I got it fixed, it was the issue of path and now photoplog is viewable.

Edit: I got fixed all so far working fine special thanks to Digital Jedi and a great software by Calorie.

Any help with my problem yet?

Digital Jedi 03-03-2008 04:29 AM

You probably need to ask Morgan over at Phtoplog.com about that one.

solidlink 03-04-2008 03:21 AM

My website is at limeroll.com

After i click the "Gallery" button on the navbar which is linked to the photoplog page, I get directed to photoplog, but I realised that the navbar changes and supposedly those previously removed links (which i created on the navbar templates) appear again on the navbar... "Links" "Photos" and "NAME"... Im using vbadvanced as well, can someone help me with this problem? I tried to search in the navbar template but these links couldnt be found!

Please help, thanks.

EDIT: Now the links that are displayed on the homepage (vbadvanced) do not appear on the gallery. Please help

I have now purchased the pro version, well worth every cent -- Highly recomended!!

rbrashear68 03-10-2008 06:58 PM

OK, I've had this installed for a while, but time hasn't allowed me to continue to troubleshoot it.

I'm still getting white blank pages. I thought it was because the path in the config file wasn't right, but I think I do have it right for sure now. Please correct me if I'm wrong:

Getpath.php says this is the forum home path:
/home/illpump1/www/forum.ourdomainhere.com

Code in the /photoplog/config.php file:
Code:

define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','/home/illpump1/www/forum.ourdomainhere.com');
What else could I be missing to cause the blank page?

edit: Oh and I've re-uploaded all the files a couple of times as well....just fyi ;)

Thanks for any help!
Rick

Also make sure you have the full URL of your Photoplog set correctly in your Admin CP.

Okay, I checked that and I have it set to this:
http://forum.ourdomainhere.com/photoplog

Here it shows the FTP path just to verify the above path should be correct:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/03/43.jpg

Also for the record, I have set permissions on the photoplog directory, subdirectories, and all files to 777.

FamChap 03-13-2008 06:43 AM

i am so very confused with this mod.
i installed it successfully (apparently)

but when i try to go to the designated page... domain.com/photoplog

it asks me to log in when i'm already logged in, so i go ahead and log in again... and the site points the browser to domain.com/Gallery (which does not exist?)

how do i make the necessary changes to make my gallery look like the screenshots??

Now the page just isn't loading, as if it's not there. It may be that some steps where done out of order as you were troubleshooting. Now that you know what to do, you should try uninstalling and reinstalling making sure you get the correct order. If there's still a problem, then you should definitely ask Morgan at Photoplog.com to look into it. It might still be something simple.

Well, I can tell that it is there, because I don't get the normal message when the browser can't find a page, I get a blank white page but the url that shows in the address bar looks correct and at the bottom of the browser, it says "Done".

But I'll try what you stated and see it an uninstall/reinstall works. [Fingers crossed]

Thanks and I'll report back.

Fatsobob 03-17-2008 06:49 AM

I am sure this has been answered somewhere else, but I hvae not found the answer so I will ask anyway.

With VB3.7 haiving an album system, is there going to be/is there already some kind of integration between Photoplog and that so like it will either interact or replace the attachment system? I can try to describe it more clearly if this doesnt make sense, but it will take some thinking.

Okay, I have the main error, where do I run this code to?

PHP Code:

<?php
echo getcwd();
?>

And if i add it in root it shows

Sorry, Admin: No Category

Note: Admin is the userid by which i have logged in.

What is the reason i m not able to upload anything?

Well it seems that all links now no matter what are being directed to forum/Gallery/index.php or what ever link may have to do with any photoplog link at all. I ended up uninstalling my full version and reinstalling it and poof! All gone. No more did it work at all and this Gallery mystery all of a sudden appears.

Tom_S 03-24-2008 11:15 PM

I guess nobody liked my answer. Thats cool. I even went and purchased a renewal and downloaded the update thinking it may contain something new since my other one was expired but still that same version but nope. Nada. I did however come up with a temporary fix.

Hi,
can you tell me one thing... I set the "Maximum File Size" to 200 000b (200kb) in Usergruop Manager to "Regiestered users" but when they uploading image to gallery they have information: Max size : 500.0 KB ant they still can upload big files... Any idea?

edit
now I update limit to all usergroups by using SQL query:
[sql]UPDATE usergroup SET photoplogmaxfilesize = 150000;[/sql]

and it's ok! From which usergroup the script is reasding limits? I think it's important to say to everybody :)

Does the pay pro version of Photoplog include a bulk upload function? I searched around their site for a little bit and wasn't able to find a definitive answer.

the index.html don't have anything to do with the mod. You need to read the install instructions real careful. Where did you see the index.html file?

bennac40 04-09-2008 11:37 AM

Hi

I just installed the mod and it seems to be working fine up to the point when I try to upload a file.

I tried to upload a test photo in .jpeg format but this is the error message I get

Sorry, OWBE: Bad Type - File is of the Wrong MIME Type

Can anyone help please?

Mr. Hoddz 04-09-2008 05:19 PM

Hello all.

I am running vB 3.7 RC2 and PhotoPlog LITE 2.0.1.
Forums http://www.PukkaCommunity.net
PhotoPlog http://www.PukkaCommmunity.net/photoplog
Main Site http://www.PukkaRadio.net

I currently have thumbs on the main PukkaRadio.net homepage, but would like these images to be from the PhotoPlog section of my vB. All sites are on the same host, but I'm wondering if there is a plugin or some code whereby I can embed them into the Radio site from the Community PhotoPlog.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you set the forum path in config.php so something like this...
/home/xzz/public_html/forum/

That looks like the error I had when I didn't do that so I changed it and bingo it worked.

This worked for me. My problem was there wasn't a slash on both ends of the forum path. Others with that same error, make sure to edit it like that, and it should work.
