Its worked fine for me to install it on 4.2.3. Be sure that you follow the instructions step by step and do not leave anything out. Make sure you are logged in as an admin to the admincp. I know that sounds silly but some admins use second accounts to view stuff on their site and its easy to forget what account you are in sometimes.

Thanks for the response. Finally it works, It was a problem of user permissions.

Now I have two issues with the add-on.

1- The "rating" system doesn't work or I can't find where make rating for videos.
2- When I create a category and choose an Icon, in the "popular" section always appear an empty category image (empty basket icon), even when I have videos inside this category.

Do you have the same issues?

I have not tried to use the rating system, so I'm not really sure what the problem might be on the rating system. Look on the page where the video is shown on your site. There are little stars or there should be under your video, you can click them to create a rating for the video.

I have not tried placing category images on the installs I've done, but you can try the following things and see if one works.

1. Make sure that you have the correct URL to your category image.

Example: http://www.mysite.com/images/catimage.jpg.

If your image is not showing it probably a URL problem, but you can also try...

2. Make sure that the directories that they said to CHMOD have been done to 777 so that when you upload files they show up. I do not remember which ones they are off the top of my head, but you may want to go back and check those to be sure.

If none of that helps then if you can send a link or take a screen shot so I can see what it looks like.

I don't know why, but in my case I don't have stars to rating (attach screenshot). I can't deactivate the rating system also, appear like an important part of this mod, because you can filter by most rated videos, most comment, etc..


The image appear ok in the "category" section; it's not ok only in the popular section. I have 777 for the folders:

/vbtube/tmp
/vbtube/upload/thumb_link

Mmmmm, i think probable is a js problem. My domain run over SSL and the scripts and some part of the mod run over http, and chrome blocked. I will try to modify some files.

Appear like the problem is with de JS through http .

I modify the scripts calls through https but the problem still persist. A function problem:

I cannot solve the problem... it is an error in prototype.js an stars.js .

Any idea to solve? have you the same problem?

I have no idea as I do not code js personally. So I do not want to tell you something and it be wrong. Hopefully one of the developers will see this and can answer you.
