I'll look into it as I update the mod to be compatible with vB 4.2.0 :)

When a user creates a message and immediately mentioned with @ to other user, this does not get the notification.

Example:
Quote:

@username Hi, how are you?
This message does not get the notification.

Thanks,

What is the correct method to uninstall this completely so that it removes all db tables and templates etc. I want to uninstall and then reinstall because it's not picking up all mentions on my board, thanks.

I've just tested this and I'm getting the same problem. I'm on 3.8.5

I tried this:
@username - this gets no notification.

But if I put a word before it then it works:
testing @username - that gets a notification.

Please look into this, thanks. :)

I am unable to reliably replicate this issue - we've tested it countless times and in every possible scenario.

Unfortunately I doubt this can be fixed at this time :(

That being said, we have a new version currently in Beta that have made some changes to the underlying code, so it may have fixed itself :)

Advanced User Tagging v3.0.0 (Beta 3):

Emails:
  • Email alerts for all features
  • Globally disable emails for any of the features
  • Email notifications go through an extra (hopefully) invisible redirect to clear its notifications, to ensure users are logged in before viewing their profiles

General Features:
  • Ability to disable Thread Tag list entirely for guests
  • Globally disable any of the features
  • Profile notifications now go through an extra (hopefully) invisible redirect to clear its notifications, to work around vBSEO compatibility issues

Changes / Fixes:
  • Mentions no longer trigger within quotes
  • Users will no longer receive notifications for Mentions, Thread Tags or Hash tag subscriptions triggered in forums they cannot access
  • Mentions will now correctly appear within the mobile style

But, no fix for the simple omission I found.

DragonByte Tech 06-16-2012 02:41 AM

There's currently no open bug reports on our support forums, posting there is the best way of getting an issue noticed as vb.org posts tend to get buried after a short while :)

Yep, already heard that excuse and dismissed it. Posts still on record here.

It's the simplest fix there is, your Mod currently ignores users with a underscore in their username. It's a simple omission you refuse to acknowledge or fix, while looking into others reported here before and after my report..

Good example of what I am talking about, in this thread very recently, you at least attempted to duplicate a reported problem. With this reported problem, you simply ignore..

It's also been shown in this thread your service at your support forums is also worthless.
