Works great on submit but doesnt work on new automatic thread submissions from like a rss feed or something anyway to fix that? I want it to tweet all submissions including automatic ones? I am willing to donate....

If you want to have all threads by all members tweeted then go get vBulletin to Twitter: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234288

This was a good idea but I was under the assumption it would do it for the forum as a whole, not just the admin. What if you don't post under your admin account? User threads are the only thing that really make sense unless for some reason you want people to follow only you on twitter... You could simply click the "Tweet" button after you post a thread...

That mod hasn't worked in ages. I have no idea where you got the idea this one only tweets an admin's posts, but it's not true.

As Videx said.... and what on earth gave you the idea that it posts to Twitter from the Admin account only? Does it say that anywhere?

If you read the FAQ section in the first post, it clearly states that it is highly unlikely that I will ever add that functionality, and to be honest I do not have a need for it on any of my sites, so it does not really interest me in spending my very limited time and energy adding that functionality to a free hack.

Hello,
How exactly does this hack works? Do I assign a forum that when members create new threads it will go to my twitter account or does it goes to the members twitter account or both?
Can I have every member with a twitter account you this feature or is it reserved for admins?

Videx 04-20-2011 02:25 AM

Posts go to your forum's twitter account. Your twitter account has nothing to do with it, nor does theirs. In fact, they don't even need a twitter account, and neither do you. But your forum does.

I read through the mod description and FAQ, as well as all the posts in this thread, and just have a couple quick verification questions since there seems to be contradictions throughout. Perhaps things have been update, changed, etc. I dunno.

I only want to tweet my articles from the CMS and not forums or replies. Can it be limited to this with this mod?

The posts have to be 140 characters or less or they won't post, correct? This mod won't truncate a longer post?

This hack does threads and posts only, not CMS articles, RSS feeds etc,. (see FAQ in first post for more information).

That is correct, mostly.... it will try truncating, but if it is still above 140 characters, then it won't post.

Confirmed working on 3.7.5
