Sound correct?

Yes I did this myself also, and it worked. I was just about to post it here to tell everyone how to fix.

What I did was to manually delete (or Drop) the following 4 tables from the MySQL forum database:
award
award_cat
award_requests
award_user

(Note: BE careful when removing tables from your MySQL database! Only remove the 4 tables above and you do this at your OWN risk)

I removed the tables using the phpMyAdmin feature from my websites cPanel to edit the database.

These 4 tables are what the mod uses. I found that when you uninstall the mod it doesn't automatically remove these from the database, and therefore it won't let you re-install it because the installation process tries to create/alter the tables again and it cannot "overwrite" this. Once these tables are removed however, the mod installation should run its course ok. (it did for me at least)

I Hope this helps the others who have the same/similar issues!

I am getting this error when a user requests an award. has this been fixed with the update?

"There's some error when sending your award request. Please contact site's administrator for assistant."

I only had to remove award and award_requests and I was good to go.

Question.

How can I alter where someone would be directed to if they click on the award in someone's post?

Like if I were to click on the award, it takes me to the page showing the complete award and why they go it, I'd rather change that link to point them elsewhere.

Any help is appreciated.

What do you mean by award automation is being implemented.

What type of award actions will this include?

Thank you

I did experience this error on my own forums before i accidentally uninstalled the mod. When i managed to re-install it the mod now works fine, requests and recommendations work perfectly.

Although I have noticed when you grant an award to a user from their request it doesnt automatically delete the request. You have to remove each request manually. I would like to see the mod automatically delete requests if they are awarded if possible, because I can imagine this taking up lots of administrators time if they have a lot of requests to attend to.

I will see what I can do about accommodating that.

I have noticed another bug, mainly with the Uninstall Code being flaky, I will work on that for the next release.

You would have to edit a template. I'm not 100% sure off hand.
