So far the only issue I'm having using this with vb4 is on the profile page, the data appears twice. Once on the Experience tab and again on the Visitor Messages tab far far down the page at the bottom.

While I would love to see a new version I'm not so sure its going to happen given the author has logged into his own site he lists here since Nov. either.

Still in the Zip file you downloaded. Look in the extras directory and you'll see the rest of the directories. All you need to do is follow it, see how it says upload_via_ftp.

You GET it from the zip file and upload it to your admincp folder.

then you access by going to: www.yourdomain.com/admincp/kill_xperience.php

or whatever the proper path for your admincp folder is.

I wonder if anyone could help me create a custom data provider for this mod. I don't think it would be that difficult. I want to give points to users who have loaded images to a "specially named" Photo Album Using vb's Album Feature.

Why is this mod constantly returning manually assigned awards, even though the awards stay with the users? This seems to be the part of the code that is being run when the Scheduled Cronjob executes and updates the Achievements/Awards:

Seems this mod is dead and the author isn't going to upgrade this?? Can someone maybe take over it with his permission and please upgrade it for vb 4.0!!! or create your own?

They WERE third party add-ons, but they're integrated now.

i'm going to upgrade my forum to 4.0 but still waiting for phalynx to release the compatible version for 4.0

this is my suggestion

1. i would like to see bidding system integrated where users can bid any items in the shop and the last bidder with highest price can have/download the items.

2. voting with points. this is very useful if we would like to have a contest where user's vote is needed. each votes will consume settable points

3. for these 2 new features, it can be shown at the front suite for latest, highest bids/votes or whatsoever suitable

just a suggestion and hope it can be done. thank you

quick question if anyone is able to help:

i am using the beta3 version

known issue, if you try to bring up the user profile of a member with nagative points, you get an error.

95% of my members have negative points, i guess because they get a points penalty for inactivity

HOW CAN I REMOVE THIS POINTS PENALTY?

I do not want inactive members to end up with negative points. where is the inactivity points penalty configured?

I looked in my points configuration window in ACP and cannot find where the inactivity penalty is configured. would REALLY appreciate some assistance.

vBExperience installed, everything works. But you want to remove this way when I get an error,
Remove vBExperience
vBExperience has been removed from database. You must now delete files on your server.
PLEASE UNINSTALL THE PRODUCT XML MANUALLY FROM THE PLUGINSYSTEM.
YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO UNINSTALL ALL EXPERIENCE RELATED PLUGINS. ESPACIALLY IF YOU GET SQL ERRORS LIKE Unknown column 'xperience_done' in 'field list'.

I could not solve the problem somehow ... you'll be glad to help :confused:

Well I hope and wait for VB 4.0 but something else in his own life is taking his time and so be it .. It will be sad if the support has stopped and a plan to upgrade to 4 is dead. This is one of the best mods out on this site and my community I know will miss it ..

yes in acp there is a menu where you can specify the location of the bars.

acp -> vb option -> experience bars -> Position in postbit

I have the latest version (Beta3) and users receive achievements yet they don't show in the profile. I applied the supposed "fixes" from this post https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=1556

But they're still not showing up, why is this? $5 if you can fix it. I'm sure it's simple I just can't do it.

Have you made sure to double check your Achievements settings in the Admin CP?>

Yeah I don't know what would be causing them not to show in the profiles. I know the users have the Achievements because I can see them in the activity area.

Yes, I purchased this 3.84 right before 4.0 came out and bought it too but want to make sure I'm doing everything right on setting mods up! I just download this mod and I have installed the thanks hack and Groan hack and they worked awesome. Where could a newbie find the step by step instructions for installing this bad azz mod? Sorry for being a tweeb but do not want to mess anything up on my site I had to start over once because of my stupidity! TIA

I'm curious to the promotions as I can't get mine to look like the ones you provided in the demo on this page. http://www.insidesupcom.de/xperience.php?go=promotions

I want to add the information of what is added and what is removed just like you have but I can't edit anything further than the promotion itself. Any ideas?

Yeah, seems like this mod is the best there is/was over 1 million views on this thread, yet no updates :(

It was a big hit on my board, and kept my members active, now my board has slowed down without it.

my inactive members have had their points reduced to a negative value

we get an error when trying to access the member profile of members who have a negative value

at this point it seems that a fix for this issue is not going to appear any time soon.

can someone please suggest what might be the cause of old inactive members getting a negative point value? I have assigned positive point values to everything, and their "days since registered" vlue should put them in the positive, but it is not.
