I got two questions:
1. Where i can manage promotions? I read i must chance xml but cant find which dcument and where?
2. Can i set items in shop like "custom title", "can make album", "larger pm box" and when user buy it to be promoted in new additional user group?

Hey, I'm not sure if I did something right. I installed the program but when I clicked the link on the navbar I got "page not found."

Did I not upload something...and where do the files for the "extras" go? I wasn't sure to put it in images or what...

The file xperience.php is missing. Please check the install instructions.

Extras are additonal files that you CAN use, but not must.

I resolved this. It turned out that it was caused by a value for infraction points that was set to high. Some members had a negative vbexp point level, which caused their vbexp data to disappear.

Nice to hear. The same can happen if someone is using Thread Necromancer and a new user posts in old thread. Negative points are hiding the full stats.

I thing there should be a way to export the points table as csv
coz our members asking what is the points structure.
i thing there are no way other than copy each and past :(

Such an overview is already done for next version.

Thanks...I got it to work but may I make a suggestion if someone else hadn't already made it? I could look but this thread is more than 101 pages deep and my eyesight won't permit it but when you update this program, can you make it to where you can upload the gifts and when wanting to pay for them, make it a drop down list instead of the way it's set up? or is that done a different way without adding the image to the Manage Shop set up?

I can put them all into one category but I have over 500 and if they all load on one page, that would be a pain in the butt...

I normally don't do personal requests for any mod but as I'm using VbEx since the beginning and I can see great phenomenal pontential for it here's my suggestion.

Since I installed VbEx all members are chasing for points and levels (for some reason human nature are seriously affected by this....lol...) and members are very proud of their points and level because it means they contributed a lot with our forum. If there's a way to keep it if you use your points to shop anything would be great. And keeping a message like: Points Used and Remaining Points.

Fixed in next version. Set display order of all awards to 0 to disable them completly.

You mean you want to have dozens of items? Why not putting them into categories?

Is there anyway you can set it up to do the automatic awards for those people that report posts the most? That would be great!

Maybe even integration into the YaAS 4.0 system? I'd rather have an awards showcase than icons next to users names. Or if anything, just have it automatically put the awards in the YaAS templates?

Marcus, you have to remember not all of us are coders, hackers, or designers. Some like me are just ordinary everyday people who own message boards and like nice stuff on them. You sort of have to break the lingo down to us.

Everything appears ok except on the rankings page the only awards (all available awards) are assigned to myself and no one else.

have I missed something (probably) why do the awards not show on the rankings and awards page for other users?

I have a easy feature request...

1. I would like an option for turning on & off vBExperience in the Navbar ONLY.
2. Then a seperate option in vBExperience options for turning on & off in the Quick Links sub-menu.

I either have to always edit my templates or just do not do it. My Navbar for users has gotten really full!

Would only work if you don't set up a special user that is doing reports. Use the CDP to gather such data.

Uhm... It creates some tables with one row per user. Additionaly, some columns are added to the user table.

thanks for my reply, i am still none the wiser how to turn of awards for admin/mods though, it would be really good to be able to do this, because i think members lose the incentive when its the team winning all the awards.

Errm, why should it? vBExperience is calculating data from the live system, depending on the actions the users does. But you can use CDP or custom points to realize a one time import.

I have a few suggestions that could improve it:
-Bought Items list on a User Profile only has 3 items horizontally instead of all of them horizontally. The rest go down vertically.

-Users get to choose what order their bought item icons appear in postbit.

That way they can choose what they want other people to see.

My apologies for mixing your name up. As far as the hack is concerned, I'm sorry but I'm gonna uninstall for now. Having to install the shop items individually plus adding the awards to each skin is too much of a hassle and I'm just as limited on time as you are. Perhaps you'll come up with a way to make the install process more user friendly...

I was wondering if you can do something for the next version. I want to reward my users with prizes, so i setup a few vBExperience medals. But now i realise i have some top users that take all the prizes, and they remain on top every time. Can you do something so i can see/sort what user is doing better for the last week, or month, or something like that ?

I mean, let's get an example:

User X goes to 1000 points. The closest one is user Y,Z,W with 100 points.
There is no way on earth that user Y will ever get higher than user X !
But, as user X is getting lazy (knowing nobody can reach him), i want to see which one from users Y,Z,W is trying harder lately.
So, as for last week User X points increase is going lower, but Y,Z,W is getting higher, although not even close to X. I want to see which one from Y,Z,W has done the best in last week.

Can we have that ? :) Something like a medal for "Last week wannabe hero !" :D
