Did you go to http://yoursite.com/forums/photoplog/

This doesnt install a button on your site, you need to make it or a link somewhere.

<a href="http://www.oneworldonehood.com/forum/index.php" target="_blank">http://www.oneworldonehood.com/forum/index.php</a> no photo plog

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 11:36 AM

it should show on the link addy correct?

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 11:43 AM

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in

Digital Jedi 02-19-2008 11:47 AM

It doesn't automatically add a link to the Gallery. You have to do that manually.

Also, it looks like you didn't set your forum path correctly in the config.php file. http://www.oneworldonehood.com/forum/photoplog/

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 11:50 AM

ok well i went to the server this what they gave me..../home/oneworld/public_html

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 11:51 AM

i am newbie bare with the youngin' lol

Digital Jedi 02-19-2008 11:51 AM

Did you remember to add /forum to the end of that? You have to put the full path of your forum, not just your website.

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 11:55 AM

./home/oneworld/public_html/forum

Digital Jedi 02-19-2008 11:56 AM

Take off the dot and try it again.

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 12:05 PM

<a href="http://home/public_html/forum/photoplog" target="_blank">http://home/public_html/forum/photoplog</a>

tried this too nuthin

Digital Jedi 02-19-2008 12:08 PM

You may need to start from scratch. It sounds like you skipped a step during installation. I think maybe your file path needs to be correct before you install and not after.

fukdawrld 02-19-2008 12:11 PM

so delete and restart huh

Digital Jedi 02-19-2008 12:16 PM

Uninstall and restart if you can. There are instructions in the Installation readme file that let you know what to do in case you install incorrectly.

Thanx

Mario

Take a look here ;)

TopNotch 02-22-2008 08:27 PM

Hi, Iam looking forward to using this I only have one problem.

Iam getting this error.
Quote:

Warning: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno X) in /home/wherever/public_html/photoplog/settings.php on line X

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/wherever/public_html/photoplog/settings.php on line X

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/wherever/public_html/photoplog/settings.php on line X
I read how to fix it buy I really dont understand what you mean by run this script. How would I go about doing this "running the scrip"?

Quote:

It means that the full path set in the PhotoPlog config file is incorrect. Run this script in your main forum directory to help determine the correct path.
Please Help:erm:

"This script" is the file content he gives you right after that.

    Code:

    <?php
    echo getcwd();
    ?>

Take that code and save it as a PHP file. Name it whatever you want. Then upload it to your forum's root directory. Then navigate to that file in your web browser. It would look something like www.yourforum.com/whatever.php or www.yourforum.com/forums/whatever.php, depending on where your forum directory is located, and, of course, whatever your chose to name the file.

TopNotch 02-22-2008 10:25 PM

says this

Quote:

The requested URL /public_html/bvb.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I tryed it many diffrent ways.

www.mysite.com/whatever.php
www.mysite.com/forums/whatever.php
www.mysite.com/public_html/whatever.php

None of them worked.

TopNotch 02-23-2008 04:27 AM

Okay I fixed that problem. Nows theres a new one lol:(

When I click "Upload" to upload a image, everything seems to be good untill the page refreshes then nothing happens. Nothing has been uploaded to the catagory. What could this problem be?

mariocaz 02-23-2008 04:32 AM

Hi TopNotch,

I think you will have a better support directly in the Photoplus site.

Cheers.

The-Ensemble 02-23-2008 08:25 AM

I just installed this and editing everything and so far it just shows the login screen with the title Error and upon logging in just redirects you, it also won't say what the error is.

Assistance please?

Marka Ragnos 02-24-2008 01:34 PM

I now have the pro gallery installed!

I really love the ftp import and the slide show. Really nice work.

AWS 02-24-2008 05:56 PM

A bit off topic, but, since I can't post at photoplog I'll ask it here.

I want to purchase photoplog pro. I have registered with 2 usernames, AWS and another, and never received the activation email on either email address. I have sent a message via the contact form to have it resent or move me to the registered group. No response. Even with the seeming lack of support I still want to buy pro. Could the coder PM me or upgrade my account over there.

Kru 02-25-2008 01:15 PM

Can anybody tell me if there excist a turkish language translation for it, please?

There's plenty of support for Photoplog, considering there's only one guy that does it. The main reason you likely haven't received any info is because you've posted on a weekend. Any kind of mod created by an individual isn't strongly supported on the weekends. He'll get around to you. But he doesn't offer ANY support here, as he's mentioned already in the first post.

lilfields 02-25-2008 08:13 PM

I'm having an issue with the File list and categories not showing up at all...here is what I'm talking about -> http://www.alienwareniche.com/photoplog/

As you'll see there are pictures uploaded, and multiple pages on the file list...but the file list says the information is "unavailable"...how can I solve this?

Still the same problem just some more information and asking for more help!

When I click "Upload" in the photoplog everything seems to be okay but when the page refreshes it just comes back to the "Upload" page like nothing happened. Then when I click home... nothing really happened, and nothing got uploaded

The admin replied with this

Safe mode needs to be off for PhotoPlog to fully function; it is a requirement.
and this...

Quote:

Look for safe_mode on your PHP info page. The following code will generate a PHP info page for you:
Code:

<?php

phpinfo();

?>

Now the thing is I don't know where to go to do this or how to do this, could anyone help me out by telling me how to do this? thanks

Thanks

bigsbydapicka 02-27-2008 12:15 AM

When I go to the photoplog page my Navbar shows twice??? I can seem to see where it's being called the second time? Anyone seen this before?

Found the problem.

My Best Regards!!

:)

I Just Noticed that the Plugin "PhotoPlog File Count" is Not Active on the Installation of the Mod, and only is Activated by the Admin if wishes to Try an Option in the Manual "Want a gallery link in postbit with count?", so is Safe to keep it Not Active, and of Course as mentioned in one of my Previous Posts, this will Help not to Get a Conflict with the Mod "Chief First Post on Every Page"!! :p

My Best Regards!! ;)

You should really try asking or searching at Photoplog.com. The admin will answer your question in turn.

Where is your vBulletin installed? I clicked the link to your forums and nothing came up. http://www.meraraabta.com/site/forum

aamirkhj 02-29-2008 03:48 AM

here is the link where VB installed http://originpakistan.com/site/baithak

http://meraraabta.com/site/baithak

Either url will work.

Either url will work.

If you set your forum path right, it should be located at http://meraraabta.com/site/baithak/photoplog/index.php

It's possible your FTP didn't upload all the files, or you uploaded them to the wrong location. Try uploading them again and make sure the Photoplog folder is in the same folder you keep your forum files in.

Also, a link to Photoplog has to be created manually.
