See?

And it is, but when you have over 50 equally important products each with a number of feature requests, questions and potential bugs things still slip through the gaps =).

I don't know why you're determined to take offence to my suggestion and try to create a confrontation when I'm just trying to let you know the way to get the things you want done quicker/without being missed.

Just fix it dude. Please. No more platitudes. I don't care about your system. Your system is inherently your problem, not mine.

Mine is, you left out a fundamental portion of this modification - covering the user who uses a underscore in his/her nick.

Feel free to take the advice or ignore it, but try to do it without the rude, passive aggressive posts =). Bear in mind this is a free mod, with free support.

Fix: Improved reliability of @mentions, specifically it should no longer mention users whose names happen to match email addresses

Hi guys, does this mean we no longer have to use the ; after the name?

Please don't misunderstand - I appreciate your offerings of free modifications and your efforts at free support.

Well actually, I am a paid customer of this product and the dragonbyte-tech.com forums the usual reply is that the bug is actually working as designed so its not actually a bug. You will also be told to put the bug as a "feature request" for future versions (if there are any).

You haven't had to do that for some time, that's what caused the issues with the email addresses :)

That's essentially the same reply at first here, to my original report, months ago.

Nobody's offended, nobody's being passive-aggressive, nobody's been at all rude. Somebody just wants you to support the product. Just fix it dude. Please. No more platitudes. I don't care about your system. Your system is inherently your problem, not mine.

One more time, here is the issue:

This modification does not work at all if the user who is tagged with it has a underscore in their username. It works with dashes and dots, but not underscores.

I would appreciate a update that fixes this.

I haven't been rude, just persistent. All I did was ask "please" then waited six months after being told it was my fault the Mod wasn't working. Read back in the thread.

Obviously ensuring we're providing the best customer service is extremely important to us, so I wanted to check up on the service you received in this instance to make sure it lives up to our high expectations.

That being said, just went through the user tagging suggestions, feature requests and bug reports (open and closed) on DBTech and no one has ever reported the underscore issue there.

Is it possible you could send me a link to the thread on the forums you made where you reported this? From what I can see it doesn't exist. Hopefully this is just an error somewhere and someone isn't trying to invent stories to harm our reputation.

I am neither inventing stories nor have I claimed that I reported the issue that Max Taxable is having. I had some entirely different problems like in this thread where I reported that guests were able to tag members in the vB3 version (not in the vB4 version).

I actually had to start tagging members in other forums in order to prove my point before my problem which was marked as "not a bug" was accepted as a bug and the problem was resolved.

My other problem about me getting notifications of posts when I quote others was not resolved and I have scarce hope that it will be resolved before our one year subscription updates expires. This is because dragonbyte-techs current focus seems to be on making new mods rather than improving existing ones.

Now me getting notifications when I quoted someone is a bug for me. It's like getting a sms after you have called X saying that you have called X. It wastes time and is annoying. However this is working as expected for you, and hence is not a bug. So we have to see if this feature is ever removed.

That said this mod has been rather useful for us and does increase forum activity. Also the major issues were resolved by Belazor and his team.

Just brought the Pro, how do you HASH stuff?

When a user creates a message and immediately mentioned with @ to other user, this does not get the notification.

Example:
Quote:

@username Hi, how are you?
This message does not get the notification.
