I've removed it from both of them, and I'm still having the exact same problem =X

the only black colour on that scheme's my black border, could the tables be clashing somewhere? Btw, I also just added the poll and realised the that bottom part of that [the one that holds Votes # %]'s also black :( Any other ideas?

Just checked, it *does* take the border colour, when I changed the border to white, it changed also. Why though? =s

Add one of the following to the <td> in the template thats causing it, ie in the home_postshout and home_shoutbox templates for the shoutbox, you need to replace {catbg} with the replacement for the category background colour, I don't use vB2 and can't rememer what its called ;)

Im having problem with the poll it shows "poll closed" (for guests) I have guest enabled.
There was no problems durring install vBindex at all.
I have searched this thread for word "closed" and "poll" etc but have not found any sollution.
runing vB 2.3.4
installed "Hide forum" hack by Chen.

The poll wasn't designed to allow guest voting, however if you remove the following line from vbindex.php then guests should be allowed to vote if they have permission:

Now Im getting the "You have already voted" but in the forum it working fine for guests.

i try to install this hack but for some reasons i can't get past Step 7. I get a page error. any ideas what i left out? i doubled check everything and uploaded the files into the right folders but still get this error. I deleted the tables and redo the install but still i'm stranded at Step 7 during installation. Please, tell me how to fix this.

The code in step 7 is from a rather old version of vBulletin (probably 2.2.4 or around then) so its posible the code has changed in 2.3.x.

No, as vBindex's poll wasn't designed for guests and as I no longer use vB2 vBindex 2 is no longer under development.

I have HTML enabled in the news forum, working ok inside the forum but on vBindex it dont parse html?
I have tried to reinstall vB234 and vBindex step by step again.

How would, if need be, we go about uninstalling this? Just basically delete the templates and vbindex.php ... although we've overwritten file which could cause a problem, but yeah I'm not that good at these things. I wasn't even the one to install it, so I'm pretty clueless.

Is there any way to put borders around the avatars like we have in our forum? Also, why isn't the actual text in the news threads showing up? Last, can we put a separation between the latest threads and shoutbox, and again between the online and polls?

Alrighty, anyone know where I can find the fix for the line break in the news? I am seeing the post on the news page all bunched up as if there are no line breaks. I have been searching this thread for over an hour. :sleep:
