How can I change the width of the atribut 'idtag' ?

because I have for exemple:

artist
***********
***

But I want

artist
**************

I have a featur request :

Is it possible if 'inlineJWplayer_active' is active, if we do a clic left, the audio is opening in the jukebox. I woul'd like that beacause I have wimpy and in wimpy there is the time of the audio.

Can you add 'force_saveas' in the option of the categorie or can we choose the extension who works with 'force_saveas'.

thanks very mush

Forgive me if this has been answered. I cannot find any reference.

I allow people on my site to download photos but would like to also require them to upload. I'd like to have a "share ratio" similar to that on some Torrent sites i've seen. Is there any provision for that or any way to currently do that? I'm using version 2.2.9 post 2.

Thanks

There is no way to require uploads in order to download. I believe there is a mod in the LDM extras folder where you can require certain # of posts before users are allowed to download - that's it.

Andrew, i would like to have a message to downloaders, since i am only uploading downloading .txt files i would like a mandatory instruction on what to do after downloading the .txt file, how would i incorporate that or could you explain how to get the message in the box that houses my allowances for uploads and downloads?

jwashburn 11-10-2008 02:00 PM

I just noticed that Unregistered users are getting a Category does not exist error message.

Check out http://www.norcalmotocross.com/forum/local_links.php to see the error. I did a search of this thread and found one post, but I already have additional attribues turned off. I am still seeing the problem.

I am running 3.7.2 Patch 2 with LDM 2.2.9

Any ideas?

jwashburn 11-10-2008 08:44 PM

Problem solved. I had a category that needed to be moderated.

This is a known Flash 10 compatibility problem with LDM 2.3.0-beta1, not a VB incompatibility issue.

I've read through all of LDM's wiki and I don't recall any mention of the ftp url rewrite feature you want. Why would you want the password to be in the url? It would not be encrypted you know.

is it posible to use this mod in chinese and english?

First, excuse my bad english, I am from germany.

we use the forum only in our concern, not in the internet... and we have a ftp server in our concern, for software..... forum has a user system and ftp server too.

so i had the idea, to use the same user pass system from the forum... for the ftp-server ...

aranthorn 11-16-2008 02:12 PM

I searched the thread, but can't find the answer:

How can I allow users to copy/paste text that is posted. It is allowed elsewhere on the forum\site, but I cannot find the setting in LDM.

abroad 11-17-2008 08:47 AM

I get this error when importing the product:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function check_links_envt() in /var/www/forum/html/admincp/plugin.php(1985) : eval()'d code on line 17

I was originally using 2.2.9-post2 and it had the same problem.

Anyone has a suggestion about some utf-8 problems I have after changing from iso8859 ?

In many differente instances I get the question mark symbol in every entry and strange thing is that if I disable the LDM "allow bbcode" option, I can see all the characters right (but without bbcode)

Thanks

Hi,

I have the following problem: Whenever I want to create a new category I get an error:
Code:

Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/local_links_misc.php (line 74)
The weird thing is, that the category is created sucessfully nevertheless. The User-Rights are correctly set as far as I can see. Does anybody have an idea, where this error-message comes from?

If you havn't made significant changes to your includes/local_links_misc.php file, then try deleting that from your server and uploading a default one from your installation package (or undo any recent changes you've made to that file). The error message you've shown is indicating an error in that file.

Delazar 11-20-2008 07:04 PM

I did not change anything - the file is still the original version. Also the upload was correct, I checked it twice. The error must be somewhere else. Does anybody have a suggestion or hint?

skokarl 11-21-2008 07:58 AM

What is with AndrewD ? ... sick ?

civil78 11-21-2008 10:33 AM

Yeah, I am wondering too if AndrewD is ok. I send him a lot of messages to see if he is ok but he doesn’t answer. He doesn’t login in forum from 4/11. I hope that nothing happens to him and his ok.

sparklywater 11-22-2008 12:51 AM

I have some LDM pages which have no restrictions to guests, and human guests are able to access them correctly. However I have noticed in the 'Who's Online' display that yahoo / google crawlers are being shown an error message, which is shown by an exclamation mark in the 'Who's Online' display (when placing cursor over this it says the googlebot is 'Viewing Error Message'). I think this means the google crawler is being denied access to those pages despite guests having permission to access them. I have no restrictions set in my 'robots.txt' file, ie. all crawlers/ bots are allowed.

Any idea why this could be occuring?

I didn't implement a mechanism to 'autodelete' the expired files, but it is straightforward (I think) to provide a 'plug in' which will delete, e.g., all the expired entries in a given category. I will give this some thought and report back.

Did you give this any thought? This would be really useful for me. Also, does your code support download resumes? And lastly, can I import from DownloadsII into your mod?

Thanks!

sparklywater 11-22-2008 04:52 PM

I think this mod is good enough to be sold to vBulletin / vBadvanced, they should make Andrew a good deal and then support the product themselves. Andrew has been doing a phenomenal job on his own but it would be easier on him if there was a team working on it rather than on his own.

DangerousDale 11-24-2008 01:02 PM

Thanks Andrew, Upgraded and is now installed on vb 3.8.0 beta 3 ;)

skokarl 11-26-2008 01:37 PM

After installing LDM i got this error on what used to be the portal page..

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_links() in /home/sitename/public_html/forums/modules/ldm_new.php on line 10

Any ideas what would cause that? It all looks ok to me..

RishiM12 11-27-2008 10:24 AM

I've ended up removing a line from that file and the ldm_hot.php

Quote:

list ($links, $nhits, $q) = get_links($filter, $order, "links_vbalinks");
Not sure what the long term effect will be but it fixes my portal page..

Any ideas?

sparklywater 11-27-2008 01:51 PM

I have contacted one of Andrew's colleagues about his absence on these forums, and the following is the reply I recieved. Please keep Andrew and his family in your prayers:

Quote:

I am sorry to come to you with sad news. Andrew is in a clinic after a heavy operation beginning of November. He suffers from a colon cancer and a lever cancer. Unfortunately, the latter cannot be operated. He should stay there until at least mid December. His wife says he has a good spirit. If you want to send a message to be forwarded to him, please do so. Every week I send his wife wishes-mail we receive here for him, and I forward her e-mails.

Kind regards,

Damn… I wish the best for him and his health… I don’t know what to say… Andrew is the best programmer/person that I met in the net. In every question come close to us to help us and solve all the problems big and small. These means good character and I hope that is strong too. I hope that he can come back to us healthy.

How do I get my mpeg/avi videos to embed and play on my site? I would rather have them do that than be downloadable. Thanks.

sparklywater 11-29-2008 04:13 PM

The following is a screenshot of the 'Who's Online' display showing the search-engine crawlers / spiders being shown an error-message even though other guests have permission to view those embedded player pages:

I installed without a problem but when I go to the admin page to configure, I get "web server DocRoot D:\hosting\member\deyth seems to point to a non-existent directory" yet that is exactly correct. That's the path listed in my web host control panel and the same path I see when I ftp in.
