You have to set the usergroup permissions, go into the admin control panel and set the permissions. I did this and now I can't upload anything without an error though.

*Clicking uninstall*

Okay, I get the blank page too....also there is not shortcut on the navbar to get to it.

I saw the post that said to add code to the index.html file, but I do not have an index.html file anywhere in my forum.

edit: Okay, either bad grammar or bad english. I think you meant add an index.html file to the root with that script/code in it. I tried and it put my forum in a loop.

Sorry, but this seems to be a messy add-on. :(

Digital Jedi 01-14-2008 03:52 PM

You guys that are getting a blank page, are you sure your FTP client uploaded the photoplog/index.php file properly? Have you tried reuploading the files, because sometimes FTP clients drop files? Also, you'll need to add the link in your navbar manually.

If it's not working for you, but fine for others, then it's likely an idiosyncrasy with your forrum or a user error. It's not slopply made at all, and even comes up XHTML valid when installed properly.

rbrashear68 01-14-2008 06:08 PM

I re-upped the index.php file and all the others, still it shows a blank page. I've done quite a few mods, but just can't seem to get this one going.

This is going to sound like a silly question, but did you put your path in properly in the config.php file? It's sounds like some folks are putting the wrong path in.

I get that when I try to upload a Ping file. As long as I upload Gifs and Jpegs it works okay. Not sure if there's a setting I'm overlooking.

Note on Official Support: With 70 some pages, assuming 15 posts per page, and over 1000 posts, all in one thread, official support for this mod is now held off-site. Apologies in advance for possibly having to register at yet another forum, but IMHO support would be better served elsewhere at this point.

All support requests, except perhaps for proven bugs, may be ignored if posted in this thread.

I have uploaded this to my site, and on my forum page I only get one thumb. How do I change this to get more than one, and how do I resize the thumbs on forumhome?

amore1981 01-21-2008 01:31 PM

hi there

I have uploaded the PhotoPlog to http://www.face4erm.com/gallery/ but i am not getting any images.

All the images point to http:///images/statusicon/post_new.gif how do i go about fixing this

thanks

Digital Jedi 01-22-2008 07:54 AM

Seems to me you have too many slashes in your URL. It should be http:// not http:///

amore1981 01-22-2008 08:28 AM

how do i change it?

basilrath 01-22-2008 09:35 AM

take the forward slash out !

amore1981 01-22-2008 10:02 AM

i know this is silly but where from as PhotoPlog Link is http://www.face4erm.com/gallery

Digital Jedi 01-22-2008 03:01 PM

It looks like somewhere in your Photoplog settings you've included a slash that you weren't supposed to. Double check your settings and look for the fields that specifically say "do not include slash" or similar.

You can find the answers to those questions on the Photoplog website.

If you guys check the initial post, you'll see he's not offering support in this thread anymore. He's offering it at photoplog.com.

SVTCobraLTD 01-27-2008 05:27 PM

Is the only change between the last version and this one due to 3.7?

Use the following to add a link to a user's PhotoPlog gallery in the vB MEMBERINFO template:
Code:

<!-- change the text in capitals to your site information -->

<a href="http://www.YOUR-DOMAIN.com/YOUR-PHOTOPLOG-DIR/index.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">Gallery</a>

<a href="/YOUR-PHOTOPLOG-DIR/index.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">Gallery</a>

I am running "Zoints Local" and need to know the code to place in the block that would allow me to show the link to that users gallery.

Zoints Local is like a MySpace profile system and is placed in its own folder within the forums root directory. I used the same code that you have for the MEMBERINFO template and it did not work as wanted. All it did was load the gallery index rather than the users uploaded photos when the link was clicked. The code works great on the members profile page but that is not where I need it to work because ZOINTS uses it's own enhanced profile system.

So what code do I need to use in order for this to work?

PLease help

Would it be possible to put a random image in the side column of www.raidarena.com?

eclipse11 01-30-2008 12:38 AM

it keeps requiring me to login when i try and do anything, upload an image... just about everything leads to login form.

thats in firefox and opera... any ideas?

-eclipse

mantisinc 02-03-2008 06:01 PM

Guys, it seems there is a lot of people having issues with being asked to login to the gallery, even though they are already logged in.

Had this issue myself, and I resolved it my enabling the usergroup permissions under the photoplog section in admin cp. Until you have given each usergroup view permissions, they will not be able to view photoplog :)

jluerken 02-05-2008 06:27 AM

Hi Calorie,

I just installed this product on my test system and so far it seems to work very good.
Many thanks!
I tried to install the german phrases but the file you linked to cannot be imported.

Can someone provide me with a german phrase file (Deutsch (DU)) for this product?

jluerken 02-05-2008 08:04 AM

Ok I compared newer language files with the existing german one and found the error.

Here a new German Deutsch (DU) language file working with vBulletin 3.7 beta 4 and Photoplog 2.0.7

SpreadingLight 02-06-2008 02:34 AM

Can this be changed so it's enabled for only specified forums,
and can it be made to auto-sort by the number of thread replies/comments (sorted in reverse; least comments first) ?

Thank You, this is exactly what I've been looking for :)

fishhub 02-07-2008 01:25 PM

how do we do a photoplog Gallery Drop Down Menu for members' postbit?TIA:o

Caerydd 02-07-2008 02:36 PM

I'd love to be able to filter the vba modules by category - is this simple/possible to achieve? E.g. on the front page I want random thumbnails from ALL categories except 'images of members'. On another page, on subject A, I'd like to show only thumbs from Category A (or Category B, or whatever.)

Majest 02-09-2008 10:16 PM

I seemed to have now got an error after upgrading the latest version:

Code:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/###/public_html/photoplog/images/1/1_058a.jpg) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/###/public_html/photoplog/upload.php on line 171

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpgzMFwI' to '/home/###/public_html/photoplog/images/1/1_058a.jpg' in /home/###/public_html/photoplog/upload.php on line 171

I get it whenever I attempt to upload a new image. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Its still set to images in the photoplog section. It started after I updated to the latest version roughly a week ago. I am not knowledagble in all the code and stuff used in vB and it's mods. I am guessing perhaps something went wrong with the update as it does say an error in upload.php on line 171.

I get the following at the bottom of the page under the upload, edit links etc as well.

Code:

Sorry, User: Bad Type - File is of the Wrong MIME Type

dwdmguy 02-17-2008 02:24 PM

Good morning.

After some trouble shooting I'm at a loss, I've check permissions over and over again and maybe I've not interurpted them correctly.

Reg. users cannot see any images posted by me, the Admin. Any advice please as I really like this mod.

Also, does anyone know of a way or can direct me to instructions for the "Random Thumbs" to be seen on vbadvanced home portal. Again, I can learn if someone points, as I've not found this in countless searches.

Thanks tons.
Tom

Digital Jedi 02-17-2008 03:06 PM

Under "Similar Mod" the thumbs are linked right above the post above yours.

dwdmguy 02-17-2008 03:59 PM

Digital, thank you. Are you responding to my question?
I'm not sure what that means if so... Sorry, I'm learning and I'm not quite sure where "similar Mod" is or means.

Also, one more please, is there a way to duplicate an entire Parent catagory and it's subs whereas I can then just change some wording to make it more specific.

Digital Jedi 02-18-2008 03:06 PM

What I mean is, if you look at the top of this thread, right between the modification description and the comments on this page, you'll see a section called Similar Mod" with a link to vBa thumbs your looking for.

I don't think there's anyway to duplicate a category with all its sub cats. Also, your initial problem looks like a permissions problem. Are your sure in that your Registered Users group, "Can View Files" is set to yes?
