Yes. Only images thumbnails will show up. I'm not sure if other files, such as videos, have thumbnails.

Great add-on. I found a bug in the system and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem. I've disabled all the Products and Plug-Ins so only the "Article Forum" product is installed.

I have a forum called "Articles" with a sub-forum called "DIY". The error occurs when I am creating an article:

/newthread.php?s=&do=newthread&f=4

The bread crumb at the top appears like this:

Forums > Articles > DIY

If I click on the "DIY" link I get redirected to the page:

/articles.php?c=4

but when I click on the "Articles" link, I get redirected to the page:

/Articles instead of /articles.php.

Anyone else seeing this problem?

--Ed

I don't have the error but I think I am probably running later version of the modification.

Edit: Try attached product file.

No, still does not work, and now clicking on the forum from forumhome does not take you to the category within articles.php.

Would it have anything to do with vbseo?

Any hope for getting it to work?

ok - just found out that when i change the author and go back in and "edit post" and then save - the thumbnail then shows up (when I'm logged in as me/Admin). The girl who is posting is also an admin with "author" usergroup and others as "additional" user permissions

any ideas on this one?

Check the permissions of the author usergroup.

Is the post being moderated, etc. and her attachment permissions.

Has it happened more than once? it could be that your server was just being slow loading that image and your browser timed out not displaying the thumbnail.

Probably not. I think there must be several incompatibilities somewhere.

glowinggal 05-26-2009 04:11 PM

a few other questions - sorry... :) as I work with it more - things come to me...

is there a way for comments to NOT show on the main pages of the article listings and just within that article/post?

When someone posts a comment it's showing in the listing of articles...

ie:

ARTICLE 1 TITLE
ARTICLE 2 TITLE
comment
ARTICLE 3 TITLE

posts = not moderated
attachment permissions = all set to allowed

This, I must say, is actually quite brilliant. And I'm not one to gush.

Just out of curiosity, when an image is too close to the top of the article, the preview of the article shows the URL to the image mixed in with the text. Is that unavoidable, or is it something that can be addressed later?
