Hi Greek, i've two request:
1) it's possible to restrict the 'video box' into the sign? 2) important: it's possible set a limit of the number of the videos that an user can add into his/her sign? Thx for all :) |

However, I just noticed something awfully strange.... I just checked a few earlier posts in my forums. My members linked to some Youtube videos, only using the URL and not the previous Goldbrick plugin. It seems as though the convert then rebuild option had worked correctly on that post. Here's one that converted and rebuilt just fine: http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/showpost.php?p=21198 Why won't the test post that I created rebuild properly? |
okay, new, MUCH worse problem... I uninstalled ame 2.5 RC1 (didn't select the feature to convert ame tags back to urls). Then, I installed ame 2.0.2.
I ran the conversion, then rebuild and nearly all of my posts that had URLs crashed the pages. Here's an example of what had happened: Attachment 87802 As you can see, this got pretty nasty. The post content itself somehow merged into the ame tag, and somehow, one of the html tags that got generated from the ame tag didn't properly close. |
okay, I didn't think it could get any worse, but it did. I ended up having to drop my post table and re-import the backup that I created. I thought that worked until....
I just had a moderator tell me that he tried to post in our forums only to find out after he clicked "post reply" that a post that he created in a different thread showed up in place of the post that he just created. Now, I have no clue what to do... How do you even go about diagnosing this problem? I've hardly had any problems with my forums, until I tried installing this plugin. The only thing that I can think of at this point is to try and rerun the vbulletin install script. |
After upgrading to 2.5 RC1 I'm now getting warnings at the top of the page on the advanced edit of editing a post.
Here are the warnings..... Warning: Missing argument 6 for ame_match(), called in [path]/includes/ame_bbcode.php(323) : regexp code on line 1 and defined in [path]/includes/ame_bbcode.php on line 442 Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in [path]/includes/ame_bbcode.php on line 670 (vB version 3.7.3 PL1) Hope you can help. :) |
just a quick update on my problem. I had to drop my existing table and re-import, but it seems that the critical error (eg. crashing my forums) has been fixed.
Now, if I could only get the ame plugin to work correctly, I'd be set:rolleyes: |
Sweep - the problem is that 2.5 is very different than 2.0.2. Downgrading without removing the AME tags will result in the problem you are experiencing. Im not sure why your test post isnt converting correctly other than remember that the conversion tool is just a 'tool' for helping you to remove previous media systems. The problem you are having (if I understand correctly) is in converting a post that has an old media tag and an ame tag in it. My guess is that either AME isnt recognising the previous tag or it is skipping the post because there is an ame tag already in it. Regardless, all other areas should be functioning as intended considering its a pre release :)
