the highlighted sentence in the top post links to how to make this work for vb3.7
http://www.vbcredits.com/forum/tracker.php?itemid=156

pretty simple.

as for a shop, watch my progress thread on vbcredits.com - now posting screenshots
also can be found about content merchants - which is charging to view content in posts. cant discuss any further in this thread please, thanks.

also, download support is being built into the upcoming vblimiter, again look at site..
i will not be integrating with downloads ii, at least for free. thats not to say someone else couldnt do it themselves. :)

maidos 03-03-2008 11:08 AM

how much do u want it for paid?

Black Tiger 03-04-2008 12:09 AM

I had this tagged for sometime and now installed on vB 3.7 beta 5.
But I also have Icash installed which I want to remove really. So first I need to convert, but when trying to import the convert product I get this error:
Quote:

The product Icash must be installed before this product may be installed. (Compatible starting with 1.0.2)
I got version 2.03 of Icash installed. Why do I get the notice then?

The second question is:
Do I need to change something in Icash settings?
At this moment my "Name of Points" is "euro" and "Money row" is "money".
Is this oke or do I need to change things?

Darkwaltz4 03-04-2008 01:54 AM

weird - the version ordering thing must be messed up in vb >.< pm me your email address and ill send you an altered version.

your money row is fine, but youll have edit the phrase Credits to Euro :)

Black Tiger 03-04-2008 03:22 PM

Thanks, pm send.

Black Tiger 03-05-2008 06:13 PM

Thanks, conversion trick worked.

I downloaded the ibproarcade addon from vbcredits.com, does this also work with version 1.3?

Black Tiger 03-05-2008 07:10 PM

Euh... I will have to comment on the previous question...

I just wanted to install the ibpro arcade addon but have seen how much work this is because of the many edits.
Will this addon be updated in the near future? Compared to Icash, which uses simply a ibpro arcade hook, it's much, much easyer to integrate and you don't have to do the file edits every time the arcade system is updated.
You can find the hook solution in post #392 of the Icash thread.

It will substract a certain amount of credits for playing and also award a certain amount of credits if you get a high score.
Aren't there such hooks with vbCredits, so this can be as easily applied as with Icash?

Here at vBorg is vBCredits 1.3 and the arcade addon which works with 1.3
At vbcredits.com is vbcredits 1.4rc1 and the arcade addon which works with 1.4rc1 and arcade 2.6.6

The newest arcade addon has more features and has more bugfixes

I know all about the many file edits - and I've defended them for a long time :D The reason is ibproarcade doesnt have many hooks in the places that the addon needs (if you look at the plugins, theres a good dozen+ there where possible!). so.. the only other way is to edit the files. icash and others are more simplistic in their arcade integrations, as they arent integrated in as many ways.

So, my hands are tied with that issue, but I do have the set of files edited already for you which I can send - but only for the latest version of the arcade addon. I will update vborg with the newest version when 1.4 final is ready and posted here (to avoid confusion). I have permission to even post those edited files, but at vborg only.

Black Tiger 03-05-2008 11:41 PM

That's nice. I do have ibproArcade version 2.6.6 installed.
I'd already read that you could send the edited version, but then I wonder if I'm able to disable several things, because I only need the two hooks I mentioned, so paying with credits for playing and earning an amount of credits when won a highscore, nothing more.
We only use the credits system for fun on our forums.:)

Is that possible?

Darkwaltz4 03-06-2008 02:54 AM

yes everything in vbcredits is easily disabled, however leaving out various plugins/file edits is not really advised, such as if you try to enable something in the future and forget why it isnt working (or which things you left out in the first place). not to mention sometimes certain plugins rely on other plugins, even if its not immediately apparent

zaddy 03-06-2008 08:58 PM

I looked for the asnwer to this everywhere but can't find it. Is it possible to convert vbcredits points into cash and withdraw it through paypal?

Black Tiger 03-06-2008 09:06 PM

Yes there is a Paypal convertor for that.

:D:D

:D:D

Where exactly can I find it?

Darkwaltz4 03-07-2008 03:14 AM

vbcredits.com. it is a paid addon so cannot be discussed here.
i will warn you though - automated cashing out is pretty much impossible due to the way online money processors are set up

Yeah i understand it is a paid addon but I am trying to find out here how can i buy it? Can anyone provide me with a link or something?

I am not interested in automated cashing out of credits, members once they have reach certin points can submit a request and the money can be sent to them through paypal and the points deducted from their account... I am pretty sure it is do-able...

PixelFx 03-07-2008 04:17 AM

its on our site, register on the site, say hi, wait 24 hours and there are links there, we can't discuss paid addons on this site. Just know that we have something that works for it ;)

Black Tiger 03-07-2008 04:23 AM

Like Darkwaltz wrote: Ask over at www.vbcredits.com

Black Tiger 03-08-2008 12:19 AM

PixelFx 03-08-2008 01:41 AM

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see this was already answered on a new page.

blue6995 03-08-2008 06:03 AM

I have installed this module today along with the 'extra' vBookie - imported product-credits_bookie.xml. vBookie points are still showing under vBookie and nothing in Credits from vBCredits. In the vBookie Cash/Points System I can see vCash, UCash and eBux, nothing else.

Do I have to run something else to get the points transferred from vBookie to vBCredits? If I
do, what and how do I do it?

thanks

xHLHx Darkskilz 03-08-2008 10:12 AM

When i click on a link to go to the Credits page (http://hlh-clan.com/credits.php) i get No input file specified.

How can i change this?

you have to select the "blank" option in vbookie. also, vCash (internal vbookie points) will still display unless you select to turn it off in the same area.
i have a converter for vcash -> vbcredits if youd like that.
the addon only sets vbookie to start using credits, not any special transferring between them (thats why vcash will appear to just freeze)

did you upload credits.php to your forum directory?
if you clicked on it from a cmps page - did you enter credits.php as a page to add your forum url prefix to?

use the mass credit updater. in 1.4, there is a link to it in the vbcredits menu. if you are having trouble filling it out let me know. (its all thoroughly explained when you get to it)

note: im posting the vb3.6 version of 1.4rc2 *right now* :D

Lombardo 03-08-2008 03:44 PM

woo hooo

Hey Drak im not sure if in installed cr1 or not,see at the bottom of my forum would it say RC1 next to vbcredits if i had? I'm sure thats the one i installed.

Darkwaltz4 03-08-2008 04:01 PM

no, it will list itself as 1.4 throughout your site

you can tell youre using 1.4rc2 if it says copyright 2007-2008 :-p (instead of just 2007)

Lombardo 03-08-2008 04:05 PM

Ok mate thanks.

xHLHx Darkskilz 03-08-2008 06:10 PM

This is new, so please respond normal :P

thanks

Darkwaltz4 03-08-2008 08:44 PM

yes you do :) follow the upgrade instructions

our site is back up! the links have returned!

Skyline_GT 03-08-2008 10:09 PM

What's the changes?

Darkwaltz4 03-08-2008 11:12 PM

im compiling a list which i will email out through the updater soon :-p

it is mainly bugfixes, with some small additions. (unless you are now converting from 1.3, then the additions are tons :-p)

Chase 03-09-2008 02:07 AM

Is this version stable?

KeyHunterz 03-09-2008 04:29 AM

Great mod, installed and its working great!

Darkwaltz4 03-09-2008 05:31 AM

This version is stable except for one thing.. which was removed while i work on it, so its not like its going to cause errors or anything. Basicially, deleting/moving/merging/copying posts wont affect credits, because the math involved is pretty crazy because theres like 6 different credit awards involved :-p So to spare the weird results, it just ignores it in rc2. When thats fixed, it will be 1.4 final.

Aside from half the admin help, everything else is fully complete and bugfree, being tested for a couple months now. Of course, should you find anything else, be sure to post it in the bugtracker linked in the first post ^_^

Droptop 03-09-2008 01:50 PM

Hello, just installed the new update, but I am receiving this error now whenever there is a new registration and the user clicks on any option in the vbulletin message:

If you would rather do these things later, you can do so by following the links around the site to your User Control Panel.

Any ideas? Thanks

Edit: Same for me when a registered user tries to log-in

xHLHx Darkskilz 03-09-2008 03:15 PM

When I log in as a admin in not having that problem

But when a register user logs in he'll get the same msg.
