Is it possible to have this display on a vBadvanced CMPS landing page?

I tried to enter the same variable used for the FORUMHOME into the main settings, but it does not display.

Thanks I'm a definite newbie at the module thing.

hi, im having some problems with this. it looks great, and i could really use this on my forum. ive uploaded everything to the correct directories, and im guessing this has something to do with my forum path, but ive got this as an error on the screen. when you go to my site, www.spectraforum.com, the main page is the forum, so its not like www.spectraforum.com/forum or anything.

at first i had the same error mentioned on page one of these comments, and i needed to change the path. so i did, and now i get this:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/s/p/e/*usernameeditedout*/html/photoplog/settings.php on line 93

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/s/p/e/*usernameeditedout*/html/photoplog/settings.php on line 93

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So what do i do for this? thanks!

Your forum path is incorrect that why you sees this message ... once you gets the correct path in your config.php under the photoplog you will comes to the upload page.

Here's my site take alook : http://www.evotus.com/photoplog

laserterd 12-25-2007 07:57 PM

thank you. which config.php and where is it that will tell me what my forum path is?

laserterd 12-25-2007 08:00 PM

well i found a config.php in one of the folders, and this is all the stuff it said about forum paths:

PHP Code:

    //    ******** FULL PATH TO FORUMS DIRECTORY ******

    //    On a few systems it may be necessary to input the full path to your forums directory

    //    for vBulletin to function normally. You can ignore this setting unless vBulletin

    //    tells you to fill this in. Do not include a trailing slash!

    //    Example Unix:

    //      $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '/home/users/public_html/forums';

    //    Example Win32:

    //      $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = 'c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\vb3';

$config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '/'

Is there a way to scroll between the Pictures in the Gallery ? A "Next" and "Previous" Button will be nice ;).

The config.php is in the photoplog folder and not the vBulletin config.php so don't mess the wrong one.

You can download this file from here :

Eclipsed830 12-28-2007 08:16 AM

I'm sure this has been said before, but is there any way to allow members of a group to create a catagory?

Example: I run a car site, is it possible to have a main catagory like "Member Rides" then allow users to create there own sub catagory, so all there car pictures are in one catagory. Maybe some how limit it one per user name?

dplevy 12-29-2007 01:20 AM

im having a problem here.. i recently switched my domain from a .org to a .com. now because of this, none of the icons or thumbnails are loading in photoplog cause its still looking for the .org and not the .com. how do i switch this setting? i cant find it anywhere.

and the photoplog link in the admin control panel is set correctly to the new domain.

butch3r 12-29-2007 09:16 AM

Check full path to forum in photoplog\config.php

howard30 12-30-2007 07:01 PM

It means that the full path set in the PhotoPlog config file is incorrect. Run this script in your main forum directory to help determine the correct path.

Code:

<?php
echo getcwd();
?>

Or check you config file in you "includes" folder. Look at line 101 to see the path that is written there. It should be the same as line 11 in the photplog config file.

Luke...

in my inlcudes folder
the path is blank
and i do not know what the code means or what to do with it to get the correct path
i am getting very similar errors

please help

no matter what i do i get an internal sever error 500. i ran the forumpath.php thing too.

Traxdata 01-07-2008 10:15 PM

Im running vb3.7b3 and noticed today that members who were deleted in the past and who posted in PhotoPlog (before they were deleted) appears as "Array" (when you click on picture to go to comments"!!! otherwise deleted user is listed as "Guest") and with my avatar in PhotoPlog.

edit: I see it was reported on photoplog.com a few months ago.

edgeyveggie 01-08-2008 12:00 AM

Installed, got everything going except when I go to my forum.com/photoplog it says there's a vBulletin Error and that I'm not logged in, even though I am, and even after I log in again it still shows me this, and ideas?

Mrdby 01-08-2008 12:29 AM

i updated and it messed up. But i'm still using this on 3.6.8 anybody?

In case you didn't find the answer yet, go to PhotoPlog in your AdminCP --> Modify Settings -->PhotoPlog Link. Change example.com to your domain name.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Beltinge!
All my links were www.example.com/photoplog/*
That step should be added to the install doc.

I have a few more questions though...

Is there any way to auto resize images when users try to upload something to large?

How do I get rid of the category "no one"?

edgeyveggie 01-10-2008 12:04 AM

Can anyone help me? This post.

Post a link to your site.

Are you sure your user group has access to the photo gallery?

All I did was edited the phrase to say "Choose catagory".

edgeyveggie 01-10-2008 12:47 AM

Hey, I got it actually, didn't know that I was supposed to go into the usergroup area and set like 15 fields to "yes" to get it work, I don't think that was in the installation guide, thanks for pointing out the usergroup thing though!!

edit: tried uploading my first photo and got this "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagetypes() in /home/website/public_html/photoplog/functions.php on line 44"

double_d 01-10-2008 04:50 AM

i have just instaled vbadvanced
and for a first timer i think i have it pretty well sorted out
but i have set my modules to be shown on idex.php page
and that seems to me the way to make it show at home page
but when i click on photoplog
it is also a index.php page
and the modules come up again
can i change the photoplog page to something else
or is it a vbadvanced problem
