Definitely a sweeeeet hack. Now I just need to give my user's some instructions on how to easily add their markers. It's a bit confusing for the general populace :)

Well,

I went back from the beginning and thought maybe it would work... but I STILL get this error when I try to run the Cron....

I have to try that because even though it reports all the people who have marked their locations... the map is EMPTY! :(

I have double checked that the files are in those locations, the cronadmin.php is in the correct directory. And it has permissions of 777.

Is there something else I should focus on? :erm:

Well - works like a charm ... but my members cannot see the .png files of their position. Admin-Accounts can see them. I put on the right permissions, but nothing to see for registered users.

Any ideas?

Problem:

Using updatet VB 3.6.8 Googlemapene product 3.0.0
install with no errors.


But all users can not be seen on map, there are no markers,

Additional - if the user-positions are viewed with admin-account, the markers are perfectly visible. Watch them with a standard-user account, the markers are gone.

Userlist viewed with admin-account states that all users show up in the "admin-group", viewed with testuser-account they are in the group they are supposed to be.

This is a bit annoying ...

I've added markers, usergroups are configurated... but markers don't load !!

Is there a simple way to manually add users to the map ? Most of the my users are not overly tech savvy, and it's a bit confusing to add a map marker for them.

I know I can manually edit the markers.xml file to add users, but not sure if that'll screwup synchronization with Google ?

In line with those comments, is there a simple way to add some user instructions to the "add marker" process ?

There's an added an Instructions link that tells the user how to add their own marker. Was this part of V2.5.1 or did this person do that himself ??

Seems to me, that if this was a custom mod, it'd sure be a nice addition to this map mod. I'll also contact the that site admin and see what they did :)
