You're not trying to use the secure client are you?
|
I don't know if the client is a secure client. It was the same client I use to use when I used your original vBXirc.
How can I tell if it is a secure client? Do you have any other client recommendations? |
I'm having a hard time searching for IRC stuff in relation to 3.6 - is there anything out yet? I'm inexperienced with IRC and new to vBulletin, so I'm starting from scratch in trying to set all this up.

This should work with 3.6/

Have you tried on any other computers, besides your own?

If you don't mind I can send you the link in a PM and pre-register you on my site ahead of time or if I see you on AIM I can page you. I will not do that without your approval though. |
I got it working. So I think I am all set now.

Zachery, thanks so much for this facility.
I installed it on our site, and it is working great. We have decided to move to a different IRC connection.... one which uses SSL (Secure Socket Layers) for security reasons. One aspect of this, is that the port number must now be prefixed with a "+" (plus sign). After I made this change, I now encounter an edit error with respect to the connection string about an invalid character. Any chance you could modify your logic to allow for this ? And... accordingly... do you think there will be any problem using your facility to connect to an IRC server which now employs SSL ?????? Thanks again |
Zach,
Please help. I want to add the header and footer to my chat so that it looks "integrated" within the site. However, it seems like I'm having problems with the image paths. How do you set it so it gets the images from the /forums directory instead of /forums/chat? Thanks a lot for the help and great hack! |

But here what you want: HTML Code:
<img src="../images/IMAGE.GIF" alt="" border="0" /> |
Is it possible to integrate a current active users in this? If so, could someone help? Great hack, installed it!
|
I just downloaded the latest and how come I can't prevent guests from entering and how come it doesn't automatically use the username on the forums?
|
Is there going to be an update?
|
Is this going to be updated for v3.6.2 or not? I'm really looking forward to this.
|
Hi,
it's working with 3.6.2 and also working with newest pjirc. :) I'm searching for a nice clickable smily bar like FunChat for phpbb. Perhaps somebody knows, how can i realize it (i'm not a java programmer). Regards, Stoebi Quote:

Newest PJIRC? What are you talking about? Does this hack uses the very latest version of PIJRC?

Error : Closing Link: cpc3-********.cable.ntl.com (Invalid username [Test_???])
Disconnected from irc.inter.net.il im getting this message the server should be fine as ive used it as a java applet in a previous site any idea whats happening here |
Does your network allow the first letter to be in caps?
|
Is this being updated?
And where exactly in the template should I add the link? I can't seem to find it. |
Is there anyway to do this in a forum page right in the middle of header and footer templates instead of making a pop up window?
|
Also, what is "Applet Test_???" at the bottom of the window? How can i remove it?
|
Nice mod
Installed it to give it a try. works great but seems it want the cmps template to include in the popup. see screen below Any suggest where i get rid of all and only keep the chat ? Thanks ! |

Style Manager -> Edit templates -> Navigation / Breadcrumb Templates -> edit navbar FYI,I added mine after my Timeslip Database link FIND: Code:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="timeslips.php?$session[sessionurl]">$vbphrase[timeslips]</a></td> ADD: Code:
<td class="vbmenu_control"<a href="#" onClick="window.open('$vboptions[bburl]/chat/','key','WIDTH=750,HEIGHT=575,scrollbars=no,');return false">Chat</a></td> |
It's giving me a red x as well, just like on the vBJirc mod. It seems like all IRC mods are no longer working for the latest version of vBulletin!
|
do you haev java installed?
|
Yep, I have it installed. Its not working on both Firefox and IE. I did try it on another computer as well, no luck. I think it's with the new vBulletin?
http://www.sealfan.com/forums/chat Take a look. |
Any further development news on this Zachery?
