Is it possible to limit every warnings with 1 point?

Is this modification possible? I tried it with another warning system on vB 3.0.x series but it didn't work...

Zero Tolerance are you there? :)

because the functions_warning.php is used by AWS so can I call this a different name and what else would I need to change

I would like to try this one out

No, they can't be used together. AWS is for vB3.0.X while the Inferno Warning System is for vB3.5.

Never the twain shall meet, to borrow from Kipling.

rh2004 09-04-2005 04:49 PM

OK np thanks

eNforce 09-04-2005 06:21 PM

Ok problem.

I create special forums for users and make them a moderator of it so they can have some fun, but having Inferno Warning System installed allows them to warn members that post in their forums, I don't want this to happen. Is there any way to only allow Admins and Super Moderators to use the Warning System?

Zelda-King 09-09-2005 10:48 PM

Doesn't look like it at the moment.

Valter 09-11-2005 10:18 AM

On my forums max warn level is 5 and default bann period is 7 days.

What's happening after user is banned for 7 days and he came back after that period. What's his warning level then? 80%? or maybe 0%? or 100% but not banned?

bi11i 09-11-2005 05:04 PM

I was a fan of this until I found that the user can see their own warning level (I thought this basically enhanced the purpose of having user notes - I wasn't aware the user could see it - oops.) I was also unable to find the user log notes, once added. (where did they go to?)

A cool mod, though, for those that have the need....

slank 09-12-2005 03:46 AM

another goodie - installs

You can change the options so that users cannot see there own warning level. vBulletin Options -> Inferno Warning System Options

The system uses the default vb banning system, after the 7 days is up, the user will be returned to the forum with access, but the warning level will remain as before. You can always delete these or specify a life span for them (expiry date).

well so what about the log notes? can they be viewed somewhere?

Zero Tolerance 09-13-2005 02:09 PM

If you lookat member warnings you'll see a x%, the x itself is clickable, click that to view a members warning logs, where you can see the warning information and notes provided with it, and also delete the warning log if desired :)

Yorixz 09-15-2005 11:36 AM

Zero Tolerance, it's a wonderfull hack but I'm still curious if you might be planning to also allow people to ban members directly by adding a warning (IPB-like) so adding a warning *could* also ban a user directly; that saves doing basically the same thing in both the warn panel and the mod/admincp.

Thanks

sifuhall 09-16-2005 08:21 PM

Thanks for this, ZT!

I have a couple questions.

Is it possible to see warnings issued by day?

Is it possible to disable the option to make warnings permanent (and all warnings will expire)?

Marcelito 09-28-2005 08:40 PM

How do i install this.. I uploaded the files that was needed to be uploaded i installed the well imported the XML.

Now i cant see the warning things. It shows up in the vb options but theres no way to warn someone.

Keyser S?ze 09-29-2005 03:16 AM

can anyone confirm this works in vb 3.5 gold?

Yorixz 09-29-2005 01:45 PM

There are hardly filechanges between vB3.5 RC3 and vB3.5 Gold so just expect all plugins to work.

(This is a yes-it-works-perfectly by the way)

MentaL 09-29-2005 03:43 PM

Works 100% on 3.5 Gold, fully working not one single bug, if anything it runs smoother..

So functional on http://forum.ragezone.com!

dieselpowered 09-29-2005 04:41 PM

Disregard...I am a fool :speechless:

Vizionz 09-29-2005 04:43 PM

the xml file is right there with the install txt

Keyser S?ze 09-29-2005 04:48 PM

just want to say cheers this installed like a dream, was so easy

and what a nice hack, the only down thing missing tho, is the choice to either email, or send PM, if someone is banned they usually cant check their PMs

also i know u can enter in a PM to send someone, but i would rather aytime someone is wanred a PM is sent (or email) letting them know who warned them and the reason, by default, why have to enter it twice u know

also if a user is inside a protected usergroup, then why even have the warning system shit show up in their profile/pastbit

just some ideas

dieselpowered 09-29-2005 04:54 PM

Does this even look right?

http://www.atvpros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1

I just realized guest cannot see it:

login: bob1
password: wildman

Seems that in postbit it throws the formatting off? Especially when logged in as an admin.

Vizionz 09-29-2005 05:01 PM

its working

Vizionz 09-29-2005 05:03 PM

no wait i was looking at the wrong hack.. i dont see the warning stuff. are u sure u added it to the postbit templates

Vizionz 09-29-2005 05:06 PM

looks fine to me now

dieselpowered 09-29-2005 05:08 PM

The editing of the postbit template must stretch the table...as you can see, the post ID (#2) is pushed to the left.

When you are logged as admin, you have the post id, and check box pushed to the left.

dieselpowered 09-29-2005 05:15 PM

I did not see this anywhere, but is there a way to change what usergroups can give warnings?

you can put that warning part wherever ya want :) so just put it where ya want that will look best.

as far as settings

vbulletin options. you can set protected groups and more

Keyser S?ze 09-30-2005 03:44 AM

would it be possible in the next version to add the option to allow select user groups to see everyones warning?

id prefer my mods to see everyones warning no matter where they are, and some senior members that have their own user group

just a idea, ive used this a dozen times now on members since i installed it a few hours ago ;p

great hack

Booth 09-30-2005 01:42 PM

Yeah you can put the warning meter anywhere in the postbit template. Check out. I think it looks quite tidy where I have it...

Example:
http://www.blackburn247.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=2289

Thankyou for this amazing mod. Clicks install :devious:

Keyser S?ze 09-30-2005 05:00 PM

no what i mean is, i want all user groups, or usergroups i select to be able to see everyones warning level in the postbit

Billspaintball 10-01-2005 12:56 PM

Great Mod ZT. :D
I looked at the AWS as well, but that was way over the top for my needs.

johngdk 10-02-2005 01:06 PM

First of all - thanks fore a great hack :)

But - How/where do I control witch usergroups who can / can not warn other members?

from what i have seen that is not possible, its just, admins can see/do all, same with supermods, and then its whatever mod of that forum

---------------

i wonder, like how the mods cant see anyones warning in a forum they are not a mod in, as admin, why do i see my own warning, or other ppl that cant be warned (due to protected usergroup) since they are protected why show the warning for them? is that cuz it would be a extra process on each page load?

jribz 10-03-2005 05:04 PM

Installed, great hack.

Snake 10-03-2005 05:09 PM

Indeed.

Just one thing though, can you please make it so when the user's banned via the warning system, the Moderator can insert a reason as to why they're banned? I don't like how

Thanks.

can you warn admins in this one?

On on 3.0.8 made by some1 allowed mods to warn admins then admins get banned which wasnt helpful lol.

You can set which usergroups cannot be warned.
