This isn't working for the current one. It doesn't hide at all.

Hmmm. Does this hack only work, when the hide is the last text in the post?
Because in the version of this hack for vB 3.0.7 it doesn't matter, if the hidden-text is the last in the post or not. How can I change this. I need this hack, because we used this hack in 3.0.7 and without we can't make an update.

this hack will not work like the one u used in 3.0.7. if you need that hack, you will have to purchase a style from vbstyles.com. then you will have access to download the hide hack

I don't know post anything in "Replacement' in Add new BBcode. I try but it's doesn't work. Anyone help me!

Will this hack will update with the latest release of vb? Is this still beta stage?

The creator was last online in August. So I really wouldn't hold your breath on an update.

hi guy thought id join in here the HIDE hack is very importaint too a lot of boards why ? well its like this if you are starting a new board and you need to get members most time you use things like links in some unsavory places as getting members is hard and getting harder and so you get lots of guys just there too see if you have any thing they can steal well the hide hack can stop this if applied right not one do you need hide but you need restrick short posts hack then dont get stupid thanks as a post been there done that and lernt that is the way you need both hacks for it too work and it does work good.

@ja3 Have you ever used Miko's Version of the hide hack? In my opinion it is the best hide hack out. I can send you a beta release of it for 3.5.x and you could work on it,as miko doesn't support the hack anymore. The good thing about miko's hide hack is you can set certain usergroups to not have to reply to the post in order to see the hidden content,and also only allowing specified forums to be able to use the hide hack. You can pm me if your interested in looking through the coding of it. It also does it with attachments aswell,The reason it does need worked on is because it is still in beta, but you could possibly incorporate it into your hack and it would most likely solve most of the problems.Pm Me if interested!

You might want to watchout for this invitation. Miko only allows me to release that hack under customer's forum, under Miko's site. Even though it wasn't supported by Miko, it still carries his copyright. I rewrite his hack for Vb3.5 with his approval.

Then could you make miko's hide hack compatible with 3.5.2? I have tried it on 3.5.2 and it didn't work right.

- [HIDE=?][/HIDE], where ? stand for the amount of posts a person must have to be able to read the content within
- [SHOWTOGROUPS=?][/SHOWTOGROUPS], where ? stand for the usergroupids, separated by commas, which may view the content

if not then another version does.

ok. go into your plugins system. and turn off all hide plugins that are on. I had the same problem when i installed this :)

then go back to your bbcade manager, and delete your examle :D

then your bbcode will work ;)

Could moya and ja3 join forces and get a good hide hack up and operational? If its a matter of ja3 having access to the customers portion of vbstyles, I'd be happy to buy a license to a style for him/her. Rather unfortunate that ja3 doesn't run a forum anymore as they wouldn't have anywhere to use the style. :(

please update the hack and see if you can make it so people cant see the link in the thread preview (when you hover your mouse over the thread name)

I am now converting to the new product system and I fixed to hide the hidden text from the mouseover on forumdisplay.php, I hope to release it soon.

I released Beta 2, :) the xml is in the downloads. The old version is also still there as this version of the hack comes with a lot of changes.

Changes:
- Now parsing directly when editing.
- Hide text not showing anymore on mouseover on forumdisplay.php

Remove all the plugins with the name hide hack, you can also remove the templates bbcode_hide and bbcode_hide_noaccess. Then install the product hide-hack XML.

This Hide Hack has the same problems as others, if you click reply to post you can see the hidden text, with out even making your reply post.

Is there a fix for it or did I miss something.
