No, it's not dead. I just have other things on my mind right now but I am working on the next version. Just don't expect anything within the coming week.

I have been using VBTT since its was created, I had basically no problems with it and I've had great support from the author.
He's made the VBTT open source now which is a good thing, I think.... I want to upgrade my site and it and I know VBTT doesn't support the newest version of vB. Sorry for rambling.... How does this differ from VBTT? I have my tracker setup so paying members can only use it, can this one be used that way also? thanks |

In other news, 0.8 with some considerably big improvements coming up by the end of next week. Along other features, known port block has been changed to an option and you can change between IP and Passkey validation if you are having problems with the passkey system's /announce.php/PASSKEY/passkey/?info_hash=.... URL format. Also, any problems people have reported about being unable to connect should be gone with 0.8 |

Also, php or the server software might not be returning the port correctly or not at all.
If you were getting many users listed as unconnectable then it was most likely a server side issue. |
on my tracker it was user error.

Actually, after 0.8 which is coming up soon, I am shifting to 3.5
Also, I have to say, I know it, well, sucks (I'd know, I had to do it myself too) but installing 0.8 will require you to wipe all your current torrents. That's due to a one time change in the torrent structure. Sorry for any inconvinience, this is the only time I'm gonna ask you to do this. On a sidenote, the server-client side of NuTT on my server has been running on 0.8 for almost a week and there are no complaints so far from my users. The GUI has also gotten some iprovements, especially on the performance side. So basically, I just need to add some features I've been long planning and after that I can release it ;) |

Id also like to say that everything seems to work well , but you defo need to be able to use all trackers and not limit it to just the one tracker. And i havent played about with it enuf yet , but im wondering if the forum is made to be closed so it cant be seen on the actual forum , can the posts be seen in the tracker ? I want to make it look like the tracker is a whole seperate section of my site apart from the forums , but i dont think i can do that if the tracker is seen on both the forums and the main tracker section ? Might be an option in the next version. I changed the catagories in the sql and all seems great now |

i would think ... double check all the instructions once more - write them down as u do them and tick them as u check them ... and make sure its all working ok - is it a windows or linux server , what version of PHP u using ? and have u got all of the settings correct and everything uploaded ?
I just found a small bug in the scripting .. where it says rows on the index page ... for the torrent types ... if you type in 3 , after the first 3 it drops to the next row , but after that it keeps going on the same row... just another tiny edit for the next version. |
