Use something like:
Code:
<a href="link to archive"><smallfont color="#HEX Color Code">Archive</smallfont></a> |
ok thank you soo much, that worked perfectly :)
|
Guidster, I know you said you got subforums working, but I'm not getting something right, and I don't want to change anything around with the way my forums are setup.
Is there another way to get subforums to work? |

Is it possible to activate VB codes in archive pages?
Thanks again SkuZZy. Google and some other search eangines are having a nice time on my forums  . |
Yet a 4th day now of getting crawled! 50 Guests on our boards and they are all Google. (http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/online.php)
I submitted our main site, the archive and also have links to the archive in our main footers and in our main navigation off of the index page. I think this is why it worked. A few questions: When does Google add the crawl to their index? How do I add a black border around the main table? I want the archive to match our site. Thanks! |

Google will add pages at the end of the month. The main spidering happens 5 days after the dance. The dance is when google updates all links and adds newly spidered pages. The dance this month was January 1st. So spidering happens between the 5th and 10th. All the pages spidered between the 5th and 10th will be added on the next dance, which will happen at the end of January or maybe very early febuary. So to answer your question, in about 3 weeks a ++++ load of your pages will be spidered. On this note, i'd like to add one more thing. Not all your pages will be added to google at once. They only add a certain percentage per month to prevent spamming. I think it's like 2000 pages per month available to be added. (Each thread counts as 1 page). So about 2000 of your threads will get put in google the first month. Be patient though, the next month will get even more added! SkuZZy |

heres the answers: (off google.com)
Quality Guidelines - Specific recommendations: Avoid hidden text or hidden links. Don't employ cloaking or sneaky redirects. Don't send automated queries to Google. Don't load pages with irrelevant words. Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content. Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content EDIT: Im getting spidered again!!! also i added another hack so threads and forums are .html and google is liking it. |
Thanks codewebs, do you have a link to that page? I looked for guidelines but couldn't find them!
I think I'll remove the redirects based on browsers to be sure :) |
|
*lol* I must agree there :)
Thanks for the link :D |
Ive managed to get a local server going with PHP and that lot.. anyway i set the override and that to all and im still getting 404 errors.
The first page shows fine but when i click a link it comes up with an error.. ?! Help! Thanx |
I just started a few days ago with this new pop up program called http://popupsponsor.cjb.net. I just wanted to let you guys know, there is an easy way to make money using this archive. Not only is it good for getting more traffic to your forums, but making money with it too? :D Since all the traffic coming in is from search engines, most of it is unique and this pop up company pays $5.00 per 1000 unique visitors. Also, putting pop-up windows on your archive won't affect your actual forum. I said i'd never put pop ups on my forums, cause my loyal members shouldn't have to deal with them... so I put them on the archive instead. Right nowi 'm making like $10-15 a day. From everyone i've heard, they pay on time. They are pretty reputable.
You can sign up at http://popupsponsor.cjb.net (forwards straight to signup form) |

I finished my own version, very similar to VB3 one. Is designed as an add-on for vbHome (lite).
Still working on few minor bugs related to no permission page but the engine is ready to start. :) http://www.teckwizards.com/archives.php |
