Great Hack!

Everything installed easily and seems to be working properly although I have these warnings at the top of the main vbstats page

I've been using this hack for about 3 months now, and I'm very happy with it.

But there are a few bugs though, at my board at least.

1. When I check the history - there's 8 pages now - I noticed that there isn't the same amount of entries on each page. Some have 17 entries, some only 3 and another one about 30. That seems to be a bit odd.

2. One some of the pages I get the same dates:
page 8: 25/8/02 - 27/8/02
page 7: 25/8/02 - 11/9/02
page 6: 25/8/02 - 26/9/02
page 5: 25/8/02 - 11/10/02
page 4: 28/8/02 - 26/10/02
page 3: 27/9/02 - 10/11/02
page 2: 27/10/02 - 25/11/02
page 1: 26/11/02 - 11/12/02

A bit odd, don't you think? =]

So, is this because I made some mistake or is it in the code?

...just wondering...

You actually installed this?

Whoa man, this hack is a DB killer to say the least!

memdy 12-15-2002 01:54 AM

What's the difference between 'Max. Online-Users' and 'Most users ever online'?

Is there a description anywhere of what all the stats really mean ?

Odil 12-15-2002 09:34 AM

Yeah, I just noticed the same thing on mine.

kenny@ecn 02-26-2003 12:49 AM

:(, it decided to stop working on me about a week ago, check out http://www.exoticcarforums.com/newstatistik.php, know what to do?

Kamui Shirou 02-26-2003 12:20 PM

Hi folks. Hope you can help me by solving this problem.
If a user posts in a thread he gets 1 forward to his post counter. But if he posts in a second time no reaction. The Counter remains the number of posts it had reight before.
If you go to another thread, in which you've not posted before its the same thing. the post counter only counts 1 post for each thread.

It seems that this change
PHP Code:

newreply.php

before

indexpost
($postid,0);

add

// Afterburner
$curtime time();
$date_today getdate($curtime);
$time_today=mktime(0,0,0,$date_today[mon],$date_today[mday],$date_today[year]);
$res1 $DB_site->query("UPDATE afterburner_stat SET newposts = newposts+1 WHERE time = '$time_today'");
// Afterburner

doesn?t work anylonger with v2.30

Doubledoom 03-18-2003 10:36 AM

Installed on my 2.3.0 and appears to be working ok so far.

Mathiau 04-03-2003 07:28 AM

neocorteqz 01-05-2004 08:51 AM

Think there will be an update for vB 3?

GlitterKill 01-27-2004 01:53 PM

I hope he updates this for VB3. I used to love this hack on my VB2 board. Great source of info.

bump! I would love this hack for my vb3.. however I fear afterburner has dropped off the vb.org planet.. :ermm:

ze_roberto 12-31-2005 12:16 PM

Hello, hello.

I'm porting this hack to vb 3.5.2, by modifying it in a few ways...
I consider it very inefficient (lots of queries), but I loved it at the time and therefore, in a nostalgic attempt, I'm porting it by adding a few features.

Reason for porting these stats (which are clearly inferior to PC Freak's great vbstatistics hack) is that PC does not want to tell us when he expects to release the 3.5 version of his stats since several months. Afterburner's stats might be "cuter", though :)

The thing is, I'm not good at packaging the whole stuff into the now state-of-the art vb 3.5 product / plugin format, so I would need help on this. Anyone interested?

cheers, ze
