Hi Daniel

I must confess I'm disappointed :disappointed: that you didn't read every post in our thread - there is some very creative stuff in there! :D :p

But maybe looking for a job is more important :cross-eyed: just maybe :devious: :ponder:

But, anyway, here's our results:

Users (registered members): 6011
Pages: 506 (forum default, whatever that is!)

Thanks for getting this comp up and running - it certainly helped create a spirit of fun on our site! :) :cheeky:

BTW, if anyone wants to start a similar comp let us know - we'll be in it! :)

Cheers

Mick

At this point, can I suggest that everyone that has entered the competition please post your results to this thread please? the info that I would be looking for is as follows:

1, Number of posts (including the first one).
2, Number of users.
3, Number of pages.

Now this was just for fun at the end of the day, so I hope that no one is too upset by my not being able to do what I said I would do, but if anything this little competition should have helped all your boards get that little bit more populated :)

1: 26694
2: 28,277, but I don't feel this should apply to anything. For our own purposes, we require guests to register in order to visit our forums. The ratio of active to lurking is low.
3: 668 pages, although again, the number of posts per page differs from forum to forum.

No kidding, this is getting kind of sad. It's been almost 20 days and still no responce.

Ninth Dimension 03-20-2002 04:07 PM

I have already posted about this, i'm not going to be able to judge this competition because i've got to try and get a job first, i'm despratly running out of money and things are not looking so good for me at the moment, so i'm sure you will forgive me for this.

03-26-2002 05:01 AM

mang..that sucks..

03-26-2002 05:02 AM

will u get someone to do it for u?
mang....we posted for a whole month n now this?

Ninth Dimension 03-26-2002 08:01 AM

if someone else wants to go to all of the sites that have joined, count it all up and announce a winner, then that is fine by me, personally as there is nothing to gain out of winning though (no prize, only for the fun of it) i'm sure that the winner would already know who they are.

03-26-2002 08:35 AM

That's okay those of use at honda-acura.net know that we won, ¡Somos el mejor foro en el mundo! and don't you forget it.

Shane_2k 03-30-2002 05:21 PM

Would merging all the threads in one forum into one thread be considered cheating? :p

unclejojo16 04-02-2002 06:01 PM

http://forums.411hype.com/forumdisplay.php?&forumid=80

thats 3000+ posts..

it dont count..but still..:)

11-04-2002 10:40 PM

this is an old thread... I found this in my favorites section ;). Anyone here still have one going?

Ninth Dimension 11-04-2002 10:50 PM

well, i've set-up a new one on my forum (http://savepoint.co.uk/forum/showthr...s=&threadid=36) and I know that LOTROnline have one (http://forums.lotronline.com/showthr...ead+in+history)

I'm sorry that the original idea of this contest did not work out, when it ended I was in a bit of bother and did not have the time needed to judge it :(

I would like to host another one, but fear that no one will enter because of the problems b4.

linesider 11-04-2002 11:39 PM

It was fun though... That thread has almost 10% of the posts on my board: http://www.striped-bass.com/vbulleti...?s=&forumid=22

Reply on this thread if we get another one going :D

Ninth Dimension 11-04-2002 11:43 PM

well, if I know that enough people are interested in having such a contest, i'll do another one - so if any of the past sites are interested, let me know :)

Dunno if this was already mentioned - but could just get two AI bots talking to each other....

Tony G 02-23-2003 08:22 AM

keeps out the spam. At one point it was at 50K Posts.

Are these forum stats fake?

threads 100,000 and active members 13,000

Threads: 100,000, Posts: 918,406, Members: 154,652, Active Members: 13,000

If Lanzer joined in he'd win with this:

http://gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopi...1488895&vdis=1

As of now, 247441 pages at 15 posts per page, for a grand total of more posts than entire forum communities.

And I have like 4000 posts on mine. Envious.

Does any vbulletin board have a thread larger than this?

Its slow, so be patient if you visit it. Rest of the board is quite fast.

:)

Wow! 68,000+ is by far the longest thread I've ever seen. I bet that must have taken some time to get that far... ;)

Ziki 02-06-2007 01:37 PM

Let's talk about Prison Break :D

PennylessZ28 02-06-2007 01:55 PM

My longest thread beats this one: http://www.hrfbody.com/absolutely_no...but-t2959.html

245 threads and 2 years old.

Ziki 02-06-2007 06:47 PM

Um sorry to say but on my old site I had a longer threa :p

30 pages and 20 posts per page

peterska2 02-06-2007 10:35 PM

http://www.peterska2.co.uk/showthread.php?t=557 thats my longest active thread

http://www.peterska2.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1680 thats my actual longest thread, but it's been archived a while.

Shazz 02-06-2007 10:41 PM

Errm. I could duplicate times 10 and have over million replies :P

peterska2 02-06-2007 10:47 PM

that would be cheating though ;) :p

theFAILURE 02-06-2007 11:16 PM

Here is a thread I started over a year ago where I was scamming the scammer with anuslaptops.com, it's called Cole v2.0

5120 replies, over 700,000 views by members.

http://www.thescambaiter.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=1132

It's 202 pages long; I ended up closing the thread because for certian reaons; it probably would have went much higher.

PennylessZ28 02-07-2007 05:19 PM

Interesting....

houseofpolitics 02-07-2007 07:59 PM
