This reminds me... the chaacter issues - which must be something to do with utf-8 any ideas?

Ive tested a variety of scenarios and all seem to display properly on both vB and WP (I have some code in there to parse bb code tags so WP doesn't strip them and it's not formatting very well. But the non English characters do display properly). My WP db is UTF8.

That's actually a different issue, shouldn't be too hard to fix.

can you be more specific? on the same server mean same machine or same cpanel account?

for example: i have 3 different cpanel account a, b, c respectively.
vbb is installed on a url: avbb.com/forum
wordpress is installed on b url: bwordpress.com
wordpress2 is installed on c url: cwordpress.com

i want to link bwordpress.com and cwordpress.com to avbb.com/forum

will this plugin work in my case?

This will not work. If the sites are on different servers, it cannot sync them without some other considerations.

hmm I have 72 users in my WP and 82 in my vb.. after this was installed.. I still have the same.. not 82 in both. I created a new user in WP and dont see it in VB. I did run the query.. and the query didnt show any numbers at all..

just purchased and i now have two questions.

My main website and my forum run on two different domains although the Webspace is on the Same Server. Right now it syncs Users but the users need to login 2 times (1x vb, 1x wp).

Also, the Avatar-Feature isnt active on my installation. I installed User-Photo but there is no option for it :(

is there a problem with the security token when you enable the plugins for the forum?
since I have enabled them any inline moderator action in the forum takes me to a security token issue message when I have to login for e.g. deleting a post.

is the wordpress plugin interfearing with this?

This mod is perhaps the greatest vb wp mod ever! certainly breaths a new life into vbulletin forums wanting a wp frontpage. And you manage to make the both platform communicate in more than just users and posts! insane.

I think thats in the pro version..vBulletin -> Wordpress...The download here (lite version) is for Wordpress->vB

If thats the case, after following the instructions, content is being posted wp>vb.

Honestly, my opinion is this: Google wants the rank sites high that are built for the user experience. I do not think that this is much different than the same content being available through a different url in rss format.
While i cannot speak for how their algorithm works, i do not see how this would ding your site under the guidelines of making the site for the user.

There are no XML files to upload or configure. All configuration is done throiugh the Settings->Wordpress vBulletin Integration menu.

Hi, since yesterday (bought the pro version) when you login/out from the forum, the page gives a server error or a blank page, and not, like always, the page that advise about the cancellation of all cookies and so on.
In the error log file I'm full of this:
