Hotfix: There was an issue with the "characters remaining" ticker displayed in the Forum Sidebar. To correct this, please re-download the zip file and re-import the XML file :)

Thanks for this update, mod works like a charm, very fast and doesn't strain the server.

I also love the options in the admin panel.

Gholsie 03-08-2012 11:40 PM

Looks good so far. But, is there a way to change the tab description? It normally says "Live Feed" and then changes to "Forum Live Feed" when you click on it. I'd like it to just say "Feed"

Also, wondering if you have a widget for this as well? I'd like to add this to my CMS page.

You can edit the dbtech_livewall_navbar_link template :)

Not currently, no :(

Languages & Phrases --> Search in Phrases --> Forum Live Feed --> Find

Code:

Varname: $vbphrase[dbtech_livewall_livewall]
Text: Forum Live Feed

change text to what you want :) Feed

Those actions are not built in at this time, but if you create a feature request in the support forums over at DBTech they'll be considered for a future version =)

The full list of data sources can be found at the top of every page :)

I have an issue. Site Admin cannot delete other's Statuses

DragonByte Tech 03-13-2012 03:04 PM

The latest update enabled that as a usergroup permission :)

Fillip

sweetpotato 03-14-2012 01:10 AM

I know, I have enabled Administrator Can Manage Others' Statuses but still cannot delete other's Statuses.

DragonByte Tech 03-14-2012 04:18 PM

Aha, I see it :)

I have hotfixed it in the download available here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbeco...&productid=150

It will be fixed on vB.org in the next update :)

Fillip

AURFSCAN 03-14-2012 07:40 PM

Is this a 'pro' issue aswell?

DragonByte Tech 03-14-2012 08:05 PM

It was, but not anymore (as of the aforementioned hotfix) :)

Fixed it. Thank you.

This is something that needs to replace the visitor messages on the profiles. Something more like Facebooks, rather than Twitters activity though.

howarde 03-17-2012 11:30 AM

I installed the lite version to help decide if I want to go pro. But I'm getting an invalid action when I go to the configure the settings in the adminCP.

I am a super administrator in the config.php, and have admin permissions for this plugin... so I'm not sure what I'm missing here.

DragonByte Tech 03-17-2012 12:19 PM

Please ensure you have uploaded the contents of the upload folder exactly as they are. Ctrl+A when inside the upload folder, then drag and drop this into your forum's folder. That will ensure the files are placed in their correct directories, and that error should not show up :)

Fillip

howarde 03-17-2012 01:04 PM

Whoops... I forgot to move the admincp to my renamed admincp folder.

howarde 03-17-2012 02:43 PM

If I have the dbtech userstatus, and this live feed, should a status update on a user's wall go to their userstatus automatically? Is this a pro feature or lite?

I am probably going pro anyway just to support this cool dev. Nice job.

I'm just monitoring how it does on a very active forum. We have over 1500 posts daily.

xertox 03-19-2012 01:04 AM

Everything is working well and I have not seen any errors yet. There is one little thing though...

When viewing the User Wall there is some html that is messing things up a little...

style= "max-width: 0px;"

Is there a template I can edit to remove this bit of html?

DragonByte Tech 03-19-2012 05:23 PM

Did you try searching for that code in the templates? I don't believe I added it anywhere...

A friend can post on my wall?

Yeah, I think it needs to tie in better with Visitor Messages and work more like a Wall.
It feels disconnected having the two tabs. Now if the User Wall had an editor and was the default tab when visiting the user profile that would be better. :)

There's no Wall feature like FB so that's not currently possible, sorry :(

All that's needed now is a like, so you can like other statuses, like FB.
I have VBSeo, is there anyway we can get this done?

Adding integration with our advanced post thanks/like mod is on the to-do list =)

Hello and thanks for the awesome mod!

I got a problem though. I installed everything I think correctly but when I click to view the live feed links it just reloads the forum page. I can see the users wall and it's working but the live feed links are not.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 03-23-2012 01:15 PM

Could you try it on a default (unmodified) skin?

Is the setting to be able to edit other's status something that only works in the Pro version? Doesn't seem to do anything in the Lite version we've just installed.

That would be because of the character preview cut-off :)

Nope, it's working fine in the Lite version that I just installed on a test board :)

Please double-check that you have configured the usergroup permissions correctly.

Fillip

Mukashi 03-31-2012 11:57 AM

Ahh, I see. So it's not actually parsing the rest of the quote, and so doesn't know to close it off? Hmmmm. Nothing that can be done to fix that?

Usergroup permissions are most certainly figured correctly. There's only one thing to configure there afterall. Unless we're just missing the exact place where we're supposed to do this editing?

Short of extending the preview cutoff, but that would just "postpone" the problem to another length of post :p

Nope, just the Usergroup Manager :)

Fillip

Mukashi 03-31-2012 12:29 PM

I meant the editing of the user's status. But yeah, we were right about that setting, the issue wasn't there. Went back and checked again just to be sure.

Not a biggie for me but getting text outside of the borders on my forumblock, its only when I have posted a link..

DragonByte Tech 04-02-2012 01:32 PM

That will be fixed in the next version :)

ywwz 04-03-2012 12:25 AM

wonderful mod!

hpidriver 04-08-2012 11:18 PM

Not sure if I missed the setting to edit this but... I have certain forum sections in which threads are visible only to the person who started the thread and staff members.

Live feed and wall posts this information even if a user has no permission to read thread or contents. Help?

DragonByte Tech 04-08-2012 11:21 PM

It doesn't post them, it simply displays the content, and it respects forum permissions :)

Fillip

hpidriver 04-09-2012 01:15 AM

I have a forum named "Contact Staff" where users have the following permissions:
Can View Forum - Yes
Can View Thread Content - Yes
Can View Others' Threads - No

User A and B are in the same usergroup with these permissions. Each can only see their own posted threads in this forum.
However when User A posts something in this private section, User B is able to see the contents of said post because it is displayed on the Live Feed and User Wall.
