The "Unknown Question Type" is in the program as a failsafe. It should never show up if the add-on was installed correctly, you've defined questions for the application position and the database tables are intact

For the error code, I'm not exactly sure what more information you'll need. Ask me and I shall provide haha.

EDIT: Fixed the redirect, didn't notice the blank question.

Yes, a blank question would do it too. :)

Thank you for letting everyone know what the problem was.

Gyarados 07-11-2011 06:18 PM

I'm still curious as to that previous error, as it's showing up still. Whatever information necessary, I will provide it. I'm not sure if it's actually affecting the ability to fill out/send the application, as I haven't been able to speak to anyone else on my team, but it's troublesome regardless.

I would need temporary admin access to look at settings and questions.

If you would like me to do that, send me a PM with the site address, temporary username and password.

Short of that, I can only suggest uninstalling, download the mod again, reuploading everything and reinstalling the xml file.

The old 'General Application Form' doesn't interfere with this one at all. And the files are different names.

Old files that can be deleted are..
application-form.php (CAUTION: NOT application-forms.php)
includes/xml/bitfield_application-form.xml

If you can't see the dropdown menu for application types or positions with the new application system, it sounds like you haven't uploaded all of the files to your server.

Also, if you're trying to view applications from the old system.. you can't. The two systems are totally different and incompatible.

The only other possible thing is your paths don't match what is normal for vBulletin

Such as, your admincp may not be called admincp, it may be called adminxyz. The files that you upload must be in the new path names.

So in that case, the files in admincp should be uploaded to adminxyz.

The same holds true for all other files if your paths are different.

Maybe I don't understand what you're saying?

They should be showing in the same manner as the original program. That never changed.

Try going to my site an looking at the bug report forms. They show just like the original general app forms.

Just like what's shown in this screenshot..

Bryanek 08-12-2011 10:02 PM

I meant, when you set up a section where the applies should be posted it looks different now

It looks like this now:

http://i52.tinypic.com/2lvme4n.jpg

See? Everything is messed and you cant really read it

Thats the SS from your old General Application form, i want the current posts to look like this:

http://i55.tinypic.com/2pqvmu8.jpg

Anything u can do?

nhawk 08-13-2011 10:28 AM

I understand now.

Give me a day or so and that will be fixed.

Ellendway 08-13-2011 02:45 PM

Hello,

Thanks for awesome updates, youre doing great job.

Anyway, could you allow to translate these things?

On the top of the page is text: Select Application
In Answer Type is: Yes and No choice. I didn't find it.

I found some bugs too. If you will have a time, could you fix it?

The first thing is that Description have got short row. If you will write longer Description, you will have it on two rows. And the second thing is that Human Verification is bugged.

Thanks for reply.

Thanks for reply.

I'll change the 'Yes' & 'No' to be the standard vBulletin yes and no. That way it will be translated automatically.

The Human Verification uses vBulletin's template for that. I just put it in the page. I don't think there's anything I can do with it, but I'll look at it.

Ellendway 08-13-2011 05:43 PM

Do you have a report subject defined for the position? Also, the subject must use at least one of the replacement variables {1} or {2}.

If you can, please post a screenshot of the report portion of the position settings.

Yes, I forgot to change the answers.

I'll update those as soon as possible.

Sorry!

EDIT: Check your PMs for a test file. If that works I'll publish it for everyone.

nhawk 08-31-2011 11:25 AM

Ellendway tested the changes and they have been released here today.

Unless I note otherwise in the update history, you need to upload the files too.

When I try to "Edit Group Types" I get this error
Code:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/wtfaatp/public_html/application-types.php on line 7
Any idea's?

nhawk 09-03-2011 05:05 PM

Temporarily edit the group types in the ACP.

I'll have a fix out tomorrow for your problem.

Fix released today. No need to import the xml file when updating from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5, just upload the files to your server.

Thanks for letting me know about the problem.

wtfaatp 09-05-2011 02:00 PM

Awesome Thank you very much :D.

I do have a request if you dont mind me asking.

When it gets posted to a thread/or new post. I would like to be able to control the Text style.

As of right now it is always bold with a spacer.
Is there anyway it can be made so that I can make the text of each question yellow, non-bold, no spacer, and in Arial?

Now this is just a random explanation but is it possible currently (even if i have to edit some files)? Or can in implement something in the next release?

I would also Like to note that I have done the BBcodeing in the question the only problem is that when someone is filling out the App. the BBcoding shows up... However when they are done it is fine.

ProFifaLeagues 09-05-2011 02:22 PM

Off hand, I would say that maybe the application wasn't completed and it refused to send it for those members. Or, the member does not have post permissions for the thread designated for the application. That would make the post a moderated post waiting for approval for everyone to see.

But, you are now 9 versions behind. I suggest upgrading to the latest version to see if it continues to happen.

For questions shown on the application form itself, the font size, color, etc. is controlled by the advapp.css stylesheet and more directly from the vBulletin css stylesheets. Advapp.css just uses the info from vBulletin stylevars in most cases.

For posts/pms with the answers, that is hard coded in the php file. You can edit any of the bbcode tags in the thread/pm creation area of the php file.

Man thank you for all your help This is awsome :D

nominate, installed, tagged :D

Hi
Everything looks great, but I have a big problem which I hope you can help me with.

When I click on "Application Forms", a very small dropdown pops up, but it's empty, as if there aren't any. I thought maybe this was a style issue, so I tried it on the default style and same thing.

Image attached
Thanks

ProFifaLeagues 09-05-2011 07:26 PM

Superb updating did the trick thanks Nhawk

Thorlax402 09-05-2011 09:53 PM

Nevermind my last post..I figured it out. I wasn't considering "type" to be part of it. My bad, thanks.

Edit:

Okay, having this error now...It works fine in default style..so I just need to know what needs to be changed in GrayFolio..I can't find it..

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

Note how Developer App is centered.

Note how Developer App is centered.

That is a problem with your style.

Locate this in vbulletin-chrome.css..
Code:

.navtabs li:first-child {
        text-indent: {vb:math {vb:stylevar padding}*2};
        border-{vb:stylevar left}: {vb:stylevar navbar_tab_border};
}

And remove or adjust the text-indent.

Or, adjust the other template variables for navtabs in that template to compenstate for the problem.

EDIT: You may find another problem with that template. The graphic line on the right side of the Application Forms navtab may extend down into the other menu below it. To stop that, edit the advapp_poptab template and remove the img from the template.

Thorlax402 09-07-2011 01:55 AM

Thanks! That did the trick!

Hi all,

First Off, Great mod

New to this post and as I am just starting up my site I thought it would be good to have this mod installed and ready for use when the time comes to bring on more moderators (thinking ahead alittle). Anyways, I have a couple of issues/questions.

1) Issue - When I go in to edit a question, for example the one that asks what forums they want to be moderator in, I added one more answer and saved, went to application, refreshed screen and it is not showing. I changed the Answer type from single Selection, Multiple Choice and even Single Line Text and they don't even change. Re-installed the .xml file and still notta. Same thing.

2) Question - Is there any way I can have all my Applications show on one page instead of seperate links? For example in the NavBar have a tab saying Applications, member clicks that tab and then on the page it shows mutliple applications they can choose from for example, Staff Member, Senior Staff Member, etc? Tried working with that and cannot figure this one out.

Thank you for taking the time to reply in advance and thank you for your hard work on such a great mod.
