I'm sadly unable to confirm this issue, Kayden :(
Attachment 117298
I didn't test the Flashchat addon, that's why it's not in that screenshot.

Did we install the same mod / version? I used this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=168819
If not, please link me to the mod you're using and I'll try that :)

If yes, then try the following:
Can you please look in your Plugin Manager and look for any other modifications that use the admin_permissions_form hook location, then disable all those plugins (no need to disable the product, just those plugins).
Then, try with only vBShout and Log In As User's plugins enabled.

Is the issue still present?

If yes, then enable the plugins one at a time and check again until you find where it goes wrong.

Hope that helps :) We'll get to the bottom of this! ;)

I apologize, I think the culprit has to do with your other mod, vbOptimise. I think I confused the two initially. :erm:

I'll post in the mod's thread.

Can we adjust the auto-scroll down timer, it too fast.

How can we increase the default text size as well

thanks!

DragonByte Tech 05-26-2010 10:53 AM

What do you mean by auto scroll down timer?

The text size increase is a feature in the Pro version :)

vBShout v5.2.3 has been released, which fixes a potential problem with shout notifications, and also adds a new feature: Blog Integration!
The Shoutbox will now post notifications when a new public blog is written, and when a new public blog comment is written.

We hope you enjoy this small feature update :)

i'm still having an issues with being able to prune chat rooms created in the acp, all my admins get you don't have permission, but i check permiassions and its set to yes for admins to be able to prune, but they can in the main shout box, just not created ones...thanks

DragonByte Tech 06-02-2010 08:10 PM

Fixed, please re-download and re-upload all files :)

frank42 06-02-2010 08:38 PM

works great now thanks...

samuelflo 06-02-2010 09:41 PM

Installed. Works great! Amazing coder, love your stuff. =)

The Executioner 06-03-2010 03:35 PM

Um..I have this up on my site(5.2.3)....and as of today anyways...when a post is made on my site...it removes some of the post editing options...i.e. manage attachment button when in advanced editing mode.

Does this latest vers uploaded yesterday fix this as well? was the updated vers. the same vers. number?

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2010 03:41 PM

I've never heard of this happening before, can you please confirm it's a vBShout issue by disabling vBShout and seeing if that makes the missing options appear?

The Executioner 06-03-2010 03:54 PM

Oh..I've done that already and yes...the functions came back once the shout was turned off.

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2010 04:01 PM

I've been unable to confirm it on any of my 5+ test sites.
Would it be possible for me to get FTP info and AdminCP access with Can Admin Plugins to your site sent via PM? If so, I can look into it and figure it out asap :)

The Executioner 06-03-2010 04:09 PM

OK...PM sent to you.
I'll need to to e-mail me.
I will not give any of my server info out on any sites PM systems.

We have 2.5.1 Pro. Is there a way to restrict access to certain usergroups?

We see two areas in the usercp settings which look like they should allow is to give or restrict access but there isn't a way to change the settings.

Sorry, 2.5.1 was actually coded by a different programmer, and wasn't designed for 3.8/supported here.

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2010 05:31 PM

I just updated the zip with fixes for two small issues:
1. Styles using the headinclude_bottom template would not see those customisations on vBShout pages like the Archive.
2. Forums who use the Shoutbox on ALL pages would no longer be able to manage attachments.

If any of those issues affect you, please re-download the zip, re-upload all files and re-import the XML file.

Dutch_Boy 06-03-2010 06:15 PM

Its there a option that you can send private messages to a person?

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2010 06:20 PM

Yeah, /pm Username; Message
:)

The Executioner 06-03-2010 06:25 PM

Thanks DB Tech!
You stand behind your stuff and I recommend this to anyone wanting to use a shout box on their site to use this one.
Or better yet...help support them by purchasing the pro vers.

frank42 06-03-2010 06:33 PM

Tabs

* Highlights when you're not viewing them but they have new messages.

i have yet to see that work

also it does'nt show active users in chat rooms created in acp, only in main shout area

Dutch_Boy 06-03-2010 07:51 PM

Is it possible to change the looks of the shoutbox? Something like this:

http://www.highflow.nl/forum/

Its looks so cheat now :(

Oke few things i need to know :)

1• Is it possible to dissable the date in every shout? I only want the time.
2• Turn off one of the "Active Users"
3• A more cleaner look. What i mean is that the members on my forum can turn things off. Like i dont wanna see the buttons for font and color.

Problems that i had:

1• Shoutbox puts its self in idle. I did turn it off in the settings.
2• Cant change font size.

frank42 06-03-2010 08:31 PM

thanks for the really quick response's.....few bugs, but one of the best shout boxes i have seen in some time....great work

Danny Diamond 06-04-2010 12:39 AM

I think I may have to give this shoutbox some serious consideration. Love all the features. Just not sure what it would look like on a 3.8 vbulletin.

Here is what the vBShout v5 lite vers looks like on my site.
I'm running VB 3.8.4

The_____KinG 06-04-2010 06:52 PM

i installed the shoutbox was working fine without any bugs suddenly stopped working the error message shows forbidden

shows loading ....
then forbidden i tried reinstalling same error

when i checked the archives it shows me the thread and post replies there no problem but not showing on forum home

DragonByte Tech 06-04-2010 07:35 PM

Forbidden usually means the file permissions are incorrect. Please check your Apache installation's error log file to see if it has more information.

I guess no images are allowed?
There was no URL or site name mentioned.
So what gives?

If I violated a site rule...then I am OK with the removal of my image in my post.

Just wanting to know if I in fact violated a site rule or was that a judgement call?

I wanted that user to see how it looked on VB 3.8.4.

and please don't ban me for this...lol

Not yet, though I've confirmed the Active Users issue and it will be resolved with the next version :)

frank42 06-07-2010 04:57 PM

odd, but pm'ing not working with new updated files????

DragonByte Tech 06-07-2010 06:32 PM

Works fine for me, can you please give more details?

Fillip

The Executioner 06-07-2010 07:21 PM

He is referring to the one used at my site.
What is not working is the ability to click on a name in the shout and send a PM.
It worked before..and to be honest...not sure if stopped after you helped us last week or ???
You are more then welcome to have another look. Your acct is still set up.

DragonByte Tech 06-07-2010 08:08 PM

Aha I see, I'll take a look, for some reason a phrase is missing on my localhost but I wasn't sure if it was my installation or not.

I'll post back in hopefully not too long with a fix :)

Fillip

The Executioner 06-07-2010 08:11 PM

OK..good enough. Thanks for the quick response and your continued effort to make a superior shout box.
