Thanks for this but it is not working on 4.1.5
it will show a blank page after any of those moderation and sends the pm but will not do the moderation action itself.
For example when you close a thread, you will see a blank page (couldn't show the error even in display error mod) and a pm is sent. but the thread is still open.

I tested latest version (4.0.6) on my vBulletin 4.1.5 Patch Level 1 board and plugin still works very well. I tested close/open/delete action via inline moderation and as a standard action. Maybe you could try reinstalling the plugin?

autopm mod works like a charm and DB Sphinx Search is causing this error. As I disable the sphinx it's working.
I'm now searching if I can fix this and let you know the result

solved the sphinx conflict by adding these lines under include lines of autopm mod in plugin manager.

Basically, no PM is sent when moderation happens. No errors anywhere or anything, just no PM sent.

EDIT: nevermind, had to change the setting on age from 0 to 100.

seems not to work fully anymore for me? deleting a thread does not give an PM anymore, but moving does?

Especially with thread move.

As kastak says, this mod works fine, but if you have issues it maybe a conflict with another mod.

I'll dig into this further, but what happens is the re-direct after the thread move fails.
Internally it looks like the $threadinfo object is messed up.

How do we change the text the poster receives?

I can confirm that this isn't working in 4.1.11. The e-mails do get sent out, but all the fields are left as raw tags ({1}, etc.)

I can also confirm that e-mails are not being sent out universally. For example, we have the mod configured (as we always have) to send out e-mails for all types of edits, on threads posts and attachments; after the upgrade to 4.1.11, the mod is sending out (broken, fieldless) e-mails on some events (such as post editing) but not others (such as thread editing) -- despite the fact that the configuration is for notifications on all.

I can confirm also that it is not a question of conflicts with other mods: we have just tested by removing all other mods, and this has not solved the issue.

Moderation Auto-PM doesn't send any emails, only private messages. Sorry, I tested this mod and still works on vBulletin 4.1.11.

Sorry.... I misspoke. I was referring to PMs.

We've now set it up on a bare test install of VB also, and are having the same problems.

An update to readers and potential installers: the problem was at root one with custom phrases, and when this was sorted, the mod returned to working perfectly and beautifully.

I can also now vouch for superb technical support from the author: within 15 minutes of sending a PM I had the matter completely fixed and resolved.

Moderation Auto-PM v4.0.6 is working properly on vBulletin 4.1.11.

I saw that, but it noted that the language packs were updated in the files so I guess that can't be my problem (PMs not being sent). Thanks.

Edit: Problem solved; unusual problem. I noticed that PMs were not being sent to "approved posts", but they were being sent to "unapproved posts", I checked the settings and they were both set to "yes", but set the "approve posts" to "No", saved, and then set it back to "Yes" and resaved.

I wonder if it is possible for the message sent to include details of where the thread/post was moved from. This would help my members to understand their mistake in posting in the wrong section.
