Great Work, thanks.

How could we set a specific width for the columns?
I guess we should add something into "CSS 1 - Table" field.
Anyone with CSS knowledge?
Thanks in advance.

So, nobody hasn't figure it out the coma after sub-forums in IE???

axg 07-22-2010 01:12 PM

I installed this mod, it works good except i have one issue that i cannot figure out.
It works great for some forums, but not others. On some it will arrange and show the sub-forums the way it is supposed to. Yet on others it will not put the sub-forums bellow the main one. It will leave them like if they were main forums. So if sub-forums have sub-forums it is not working for all.

Got any suggestions i try to get this to work? This is a fresh install of VB4.05 with a skin and few other options. No template mods have been done at all.

Thanks,

I don't think it works with sub-sub forums as i am having this issue, and cannot figure out how to make it work with them.

axg 07-22-2010 02:51 PM

I was able to get this to finally work. Here is what i did and i hope it helps others.

In Forum Listings Display Options

Depth of Forums - Forum Home - Set to: 2
Depth of Forums - Forum Display - Set to: 1
Depth of Sub-Forums - Set to: 1

This will allow for sub-sub-forums to work and function correctly under this mod. I have not tried it with sub-sub-sub, or more forums. Someone may want to, or have the need to. For that i suggest you play with the above numbers.

TeknoSounds 07-27-2010 06:24 AM

when using IE, I get a comma that shows up before the forum name...
http://teknosounds.com/messageboard/forum.php

on FF its fine. Might just be a coding issue in my style though...

arena 07-28-2010 11:00 PM

thanks

This is a CSS bug in IE. To fix it, edit
forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost

and remove the class commalist

You no longer need it anyway

Besides that will display your columns nicer without it.

jj 08-07-2010 08:27 AM

The rendered html does not validate. It is not allowed to wrap a table element into an ol element. This should be fixed in future versions.

Tried that...kinda destroyed the subforum listings. well made the spacing all out of whack at least. Any other suggestions...?

no sorry. That works just perfect for me.

Lionel 08-10-2010 03:58 PM

@TeknoSounds

You could try to edit the plugin

VSa - Sub-Forum Manager - FB

and remove the width="100%" in the table.
If that is still not satisfactory, add some padding to the td

DaPro 08-11-2010 10:08 AM

This plugin does not use proper xHTML coding. Uninstalling until the plugin authors fixes this.

STORMS 08-11-2010 07:10 PM

My ONLY complaint... wish the commas were optional/weren't there.

Besides that, THANK YOU! :)

Not the developers fault. Blame IE. A couple of posts above yours I provided the solution though.

Hello

I was wondering if any one could help?
I installed the mod and everything works good.
However I cant hide or disable certain sub forums on the main page.
I have the sub forums listed a single row. After I list the disable ID the forum changes
but does not disappear i will attach some screen shots. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the newest version of this mod installed. Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Mark

Problem, after installing the Auto thread tagger
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234026

this started, so possible some interference between those two mods.

i have the same problem, i have installed VSA - SFM 3.0.1 and vb 4.0.4

4.0.7 Bug Report.
I am using IE8 at work.
I am working in the User CP.
This is in regards to subscribed forums list.
With compatability mode off, appears correctly.
With compatability mode on, appears as such:

Unable to check with other browsers if this issue occurs.
This could possibly affect other areas of the forum but unknown because this is only place I see.

Compatibility mode messes up many things in IE8. Solution: Don't use it.

YankForum 09-24-2010 11:05 PM

are you sure IE is the cause ? screen resolution could be the cause too as i checked with IE , it was working gr8

slinky 10-19-2010 06:17 PM

I love this add-on - unfortunately I go from 2 errors (which are due to the ad server and won't affect the page) to 71 errors!!! Some really funky stuff. I'd even hire someone to validate it if anyone is interested. I need to get this to work on my site properly!

OurCouponHome 10-23-2010 10:52 PM

Thanks!!

gokhansancar 10-24-2010 10:22 PM

thank you so much,
it is very nice, i was looking something like that

The Vegan Forum 10-26-2010 11:35 AM

Great plugin - thanks!

It would be nice to have an option allowing us to show the subforums listed by the column, in the sense that subforum 1, 2, 3 tc. was listed in the leftmost column instead of the current solution, where subforum 1 is listed in the left column, subforum 2 is listed in the right column etc.

ImmortalForums 10-31-2010 06:51 AM

Interesting but that appeared I believe its due to 4.0.8.

I am now getting -(15-29)VSa added to all my links. This is the forum post/thread count. I do not remember seeing this on 4.0.7.

stwan 10-31-2010 07:27 AM

Please correct the errors xhtml 1.0

Since upgrading to the latest version my sub-forums are appearing in just one collumn rather than two like I had before (no settings have been changed).

The Coon 10-31-2010 07:50 PM

Thank you, Valter ... :)

Please re-check settings and update if needed.

This has been tested with the default vB style, latest versions of Firefox, IE, Chrome, and Opera.

GeorgeB85 11-01-2010 03:14 AM

Is it supposed to display like this?? http://tmcgnetwork.com/forum.php

Abhik 11-01-2010 03:54 AM

My CSS Crashed since I upgraded..
Is there anyway I can downgrade?

EDIT: Disabling the product didn't help. I had to uninstall it. Is there any way to get the previous version?
