How do you make it appear at the "top" of the Blog post?

Can you help? Are you still supporting this? I am interested in adding Twitter to my Articles and Blogs - not just in the Forums.

PS: Your demo link does not work. It goes to a Godaddy site.

Thank you. :)

Just stick it in random spots until you find the place you want for it to go. Look for visual clues such as links and variable names to give you an idea of where in the template you're inserting it.

I went to:
Admincp>Styles & Templates>Style manager>Edit templates>Show Thread templates>SHOWTHREAD

In the SHOWTHREAD template, I could not Find the following:
Code:
<div id="thread_controls" class="thread_controls">
<div>
___________________________________

I see only the part in red, but not the rest.

This is what I find:
<div id="thread_controls" class="thread_controls toolsmenu">
<div>

What do you think is the problem? Should I just stick your code under there?

that should be the spot, see how similar it is? its just been updated at some point, and the initial post was (nor will be, as this mod is unsupported) not updated to follow.

The guy hasn't been back on this site since Dec of last year and his own site has expired so, that's why "No reply yet??????????"

TeknoSounds 05-19-2011 03:12 AM

It's an unsupported mod anyway, had been from the start.
Tho, its really not complicated, all he did was use the addtoany site to create the bar, then just found where to drop it in the template.
You can put this anywhere...just experiment with putting it in different places in the template till you find where you want it to go.

crazyboy1661 05-20-2011 03:43 PM

thanks garyT. Its Okey.

Thanks again:up:

Thanks

Try this:
It aligns the Social Network icon to the left of your thread, AND as an added bonus, I've added in the new "Google+" directly below it.

It works!

Not quite there. It adds an extra line space after the AddToAny drop-down menu, so the entire area suddenly becomes deeper.

Can you visualize this?

It should align on the baseline with the navigation links on the right. It doesn't.

Peace,
Gene

Gene,
Go to www.dancerhangout.com
See header.+
I placed it in my "header" this time.

It's below my banner - don't know if I like it but is that where you want it?

FWIW, the code here is better than what is on the actual AddToAny website.
Here it picks up the titles " automatically".
On the AddToAny website it does not.

Nope, I want it where it went originally, only on the same level (baseline) as the labels (buttons) on the right. Right now it's above them, and it doesn't look right.

Peace,
Gene

Props! Took only seconds to load and works flawlessly. Much appreciated!

Thanks and Worked Perdfect ;)

On my forum it is not on the left of the forum it is more the the center. Please see http://www.nichemoz.com.

Any suggestions?

Omniverse 10-14-2011 01:47 PM

I'm having the same problem as others, seen here: http://www.omniverse101.com/forum/sh...ind-Control%29

I just would like to have this on the bottom of the bar it's on(or centered), and also on the left of the panel not where it is now(in the middleish area).

I read the post about 'experimenting' with it anywhere on the template.... Well... I have no clue how to do that. I'd really appreciate someone just posting a very small edit to the coding of this, for new users to have it aesthetically pleasing (for 4.1.x). Either way I'll still use it unless I find a better one. But it would sure look better if a good samaritan here (who knows what they are doing) would code it for VB 4.1.x forums to be more visually pleasing.

Thanks
-Omni

I have uninstalled this mod, and just used the VBulletin4 youtube channel to install twitter and facebook on the lower box where the rest of the stuff iis, fits the theme better.

Here is the video, it's pretty easy.

just put it above the code the OP posted and wrap the "add to any" code in <p align="right or left"></p>

here is a demo: stlgolf.net

masterross 05-11-2012 09:43 AM

Hmm.
I one of my forums works great - get the info from the first post of the thread.
But on the others just get meta description data.
Any idea?
