@TimberFloorAu its down to the missing templates not sure whats causing it but increasing the version number seems to have fixed it...so the next release should work for you.

TimberFloorAu 01-24-2010 09:34 AM

Cheers Sniper

Finally installed this after the vB 4.0 upgrade. Thank you for updating this, -=Sniper=-! :)

Thought I'd give my 2 cents.

1. For some odd reason, when viewing the drop down menu of vMoods on the CMS page, the top most "None" mood does not appear. It seems to be working fine on the forum.php page though.

2. When viewing any thread on the forums, if I try to change my vMood, I am taken to the home URL, which in my case is the CMS page. This happens ONLY when I try to change my vMood from a thread.

3. Is it possible to give an option to show the vMood drop down menu in the header (where it says "Welcome", "Notifications", "My Profile" in the upper right corner, instead of the navbar?

4. You may want to change the link to Shelley's images in your online manual. She can now be found at http://www.bbsmiley.com/vmood-icon-project/ with a dedicated section on the vMood project.

Once again, thanks for the excellent mod! :)

1) should be fixed in release 4.1.0004

2) unable to reproduce at my end, sorry! send me admin login via PM if you want me to investigate further. (probably won't be able to have a look until later on this week)

3) you can turn off auto edit and place in anywhere in the header template, see FAQ with release 4.1.0004 on placing the mood list after the "Wecome xxx" text

The reason I didn't place there was because I could not get the styling to look nice! so you might have to mess around with the css to make it look that little bit better.

4) done, thanks

gyaronn 01-24-2010 11:07 AM

grate one works good thanks :-)

trick2008 01-24-2010 11:31 AM

Thank you very much for replying.

1. Upgraded and yup, it's showing fine now.

2. A hard refresh (Ctrl + F5), or simple logout and then login fixes the problem. Seems to appear only when you re-enable the auto-edit navbar option.

3. Yeah, you're right. I tried it, but it looks better just the way it is.

Thanks again! :)

angeljs 01-24-2010 12:40 PM

Works like a charm, thank you for the update to show images in navbar :)

Please make a different template for header :)

abdulbasitsaeed 01-24-2010 01:48 PM

Just wondering, is it possible to put this in the same line of the navbar, but on the extreme right, i.e. on the left of "Advanced Search"?

I tried but couldn't place "{vb:raw vmoods_list}" properly.

napy8gen 01-24-2010 04:23 PM

not validated w3c xhtml transitional

mostly because the css include.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css.php?styleid=16&langid=1&d=1264356426&td= ltr&sheet=vmoods.css,vmoods_css_classic_72x15.css" />

we cannot use &.

eventhough there is template but it is hardcoded.

brother please validate at http://validator.w3.org/

-=Sniper=- 01-24-2010 04:39 PM

@napy8gen

just change {vb:raw to {vb:var in the vmoods_css_include template! I won't be releasing until next week unless some major bug comes up...

TimberFloorAu 01-24-2010 06:20 PM

cloferba 01-27-2010 04:43 PM

i only see this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

but not with images like this:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

i dont know why, because on Dropdown Menu Options i have Show Images in drop-down option selected, and then i clicked on Click here to Rebuild All Styles....

but it is like first image...not vbmood images are showing on the menu

what is the problem?

S.McAvoy 01-28-2010 08:00 PM

I have two problems (I hope this is the place to report issues, as I see no place else):

1. When I install, the mood menu appears on the forum page, as expected. However, when a user selects one of the moods in the dropdown, nothing changes and the title of the dropdown remains "mood (none)" This happens no matter if the dropdown is text only, or pictures.

2. When I change the option for the dropdown to "pictures," (and, obviously, rebuild all styles), the dropdown menu list is blank for all items. The tooltip for each item in the list still works, but the items themselves are blank. When I change back to text, the text appears fine.

Stats:

First time install

vMoods ver 4.1.0004
vBulletin 4.0.1https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/02/82.jpg
PHP 5.x

Viewing in Win XP Firefox 3.0.4

TimberFloorAu 01-28-2010 08:37 PM

If you are having issues seeing the mood images. Use below to test

check template: vmoods_css_include

replace content with

Code:

<!--<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{vb:raw vbcsspath}vmoods.css,vmoods_css_{vb:raw vboptions.vmoods_icon_set}.css" />-->

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="vmoods/{vb:raw vboptions.vmoods_icon_set}/style.css" />

businessmeet 01-29-2010 01:00 AM

This appears to be working fine, however, if I'm above others posts, it shows my mood. Then users after me, it's showing two moods. And they haven't even selected a mood yet. The plugin was just installed fresh, no one knows of it yet. It's almost like there's a open code call some where, spitting out moods randomly... And the others are double moods, not just single. Any suggestions?

Example thread:
http://freelancefirst.com/showthread.php/86-Heyyyyy

I'm "spencerp" by the way, and users after my post... have double moods.

TimberFloorAu 01-29-2010 01:02 AM

All I see is lots of members that are amazed lol

No double entry

Haha, that's weird. I'm seeing some people with two different moods. LOL! Busy and Bored... Just not sure why others get two moods though... Well, if you want to join feel free... Then I'll change my mood to "happy". :)

businessmeet 01-29-2010 01:47 AM

We got it fixed, sorry about that. I didn't download this one, so I didn't see the "fix" in the read me file. It's all taken care of now. :)

Sounds like you havent

1. installed latest version
2. installed correctly

abualk 01-29-2010 07:22 PM

There is an issue :
When I add new mood pack it's images doesn't shown in drop-down. Although it shows the images of the default mood packs perfectly.

Notice:
I hope to see this in the next release : When I choose the image from the drop-down, I want the image to be shown also in the navbar instead of showing the text in brackets

There's no need to be insulting when someone is trying to help you - that's not likely to encourage anyone else to try.

If indeed you haven't skipped something in the installation, there's really only one other possibility: Some other add-on you've installed is incompatible with this one.

1. Go back and double-check you didn't miss a step in the installation.

2. If you pass that step, try disabling your other add-ons one-by-one and checking again each time until you see this add-on working. When that happens, you'll have to decide which you want more: this add-on or the other one.

nobody is insulting him djbaxter...but, most ever times, vb replys sounds like user is doing a wrong step...when the steps to install this mod are very simple...

move folder...
install product..
enable it...and nothing else

there isnt possibility to make a mistake..(i think). Maybe i speak like i do because im a vb user since 2 years ago..and that answers sounds to me like a joke.

one year using vbulletin null..and on april 2009 i?ve bought vb and made my vb user account

I think you'd better re-read the instructions.

His reply was not a joke and your comment was insulting. The reason you often see that is because that is the most likely cause for an add-on not working. Often, as in this case, there is a bit more to it than just uploading a folder and installing the product. I missed a step in the instructions for another add-on recently and I've been using vBulletin a bit longer than you have.

leclownos 01-30-2010 01:23 AM

Merci mais meme problème... que faire?

Merci j'ai trouvé!!!!

cloferba 01-30-2010 01:30 AM

stop this please, i dont want to argue...

i have disable all plugins except this...and issue still....
happy?

djbaxter 01-30-2010 01:48 AM

Essayez de le:

1. Make sure you have vmoods version 4.1.0004 installed correctly

2. Go to Admin CP | Settings | Options -> vMoods by luqmanamjad.com

3. "Yes" to allow users to change their mood -> Yes

4. Check that List of Available Moods is the same as that listed in product-vmoods.xml (if it's a fresh install, and you've uploaded the files correctly, this should not be a problem)

5. Mood Pack: Select the mood pack you want to use

6. Dropdown Menu Options -> Select Show Images in drop-down

7. You MUST Rebuild All Styles if you change this option. Click here to Rebuild All Styles -< important step - this is the one yopu probably missed

8. Scroll down and click on Save
