FYI: The helpful answers appears below announcements, which either should not happen at all, or should be able to be toggled via an option in admincp. It's a big problem when members can all give forums announcements a thumbs down! :)

"Enable Self Rating" it's right under Enable Most Helpful Answers and Banned Users.

Same thing here.

I installed 2.1.2 but in the plugins it says 2.1.1 (and I just reinstalled it now again)

http://www.ursite.com/profile.php?do=helpfulans =

$resultsbits Post Name Rating Username

So I was looking at the wrong feature... Sorry for the confusion.

This will be fixed in 2.1.4 beta

Ted S 01-27-2010 07:37 AM

Version 2.1.4 has been released which fixes multiple minor bugs including:

- Blank results when viewing notifications
- Helpful answer rating box in announcements page
- Misformatted most helpful answers page

To update upload the new XML file and upload/helpfulanswers.php

Sweet!

cloferba 01-27-2010 08:04 PM

i would like to see this:

for any good helpful answer, user reputation should increase..

for example, post thank mod, has this option:
Quote:

Reputation
Set how many reputation a user should get if he gets thanked. Set to '0' to disable.
can you do this please?

thank you very much!

Reputation support is something I am looking at for future versions as a possible addon.

Rating icon and message gets pushed to the side if using built-in vb post ad location is enabled. See attachment. Works fine without ad.

audis3 01-28-2010 09:35 PM

First of all congrats for this great mod!

Either the "Enable Self Rating" is On or Off the user can rate his own posts.

Can you fix it please?

Just use the manual placement option to move this elsewhere in the post.

Nope. Can't do it. Never. :D

Ok, it's done.

Ted S 01-29-2010 02:58 AM

Version 1.2.5 has been released which fixes one issue with self rating voting. To update install the new XML file. No php files were changed.

Given the amount user and comments from sites I have also marked this modification as being stable.

I've got one more question.

In vb3.8 version at Notifications you were able to see your old rates even if you don't have a new rate right now.
How can we view our rates in new version?

The same feature exists, no changes were made to how the notification page works.

Sure. Simply edit the template helpful_answers_roll to change the voting to whatever text you like. The variables for each value can be found in the first post of this thread.
