Hello, PaulM!

Thank you again for your great mods

I need your help if you can guide me to change a setting of your TRACKING mods (Member & visitors)!

As I have installed a transparent template in my forum the tracking mods have a little bug with this template as the backround is white and the link colours are yellow and the contrast is very low.

I attach a photo to see what I mean.

http://www.imagerous.com/images/3325...4808384098.jpg

I would like to ask you if possible to guide me to make an alteration in the mods to make the backround of the mods also transparent or change it to any color i like.

Regards,
''Mikevet1984''

Paul M 01-22-2011 07:53 PM

The css for the mod is in the template custom_trg.css

Mikevet1984 01-23-2011 06:26 AM

Thank you, Paul!

It worked....I think this should be displayed as useful info in the first post so every member could see it.

Thank you again for everything.

oddmud 01-24-2011 09:18 PM

How do I move this up in the WGO screen?

Right now it's Total members, Latest album pics, Total Guests.. I want it above the Latest Album pics.

oddmud 01-26-2011 02:21 PM

Paul, any help to my question above? I've seen you answer in other threads only to ignore this one. I apologize but I'm lost without help from you or someone else.

Paul M 01-26-2011 10:18 PM

First of all - I don't always see questions ;)

Secondly, I generally only reply if I know the answer, or can quickly find the answer. This doesnt come under any either of those categories, so I wont answer it until I have time to investigate (and assuming I remember).

Merenguista 02-01-2011 01:27 PM

thanks ..

xabo 02-04-2011 03:46 PM

Works great, thanks :)

Hey, I have two tables vbulletin_guestviews and vbulletin_guest that are getting overhead. Im not able to repair or optimize those tables anymore. I red in other place that those are not vbulletin's defaults and may be added by this mod.

What's going on?

CRDeveloper 02-25-2011 06:23 PM

I was trying to uninstall but I can't... Will be alright if i delete the tables and then reinstall again???

What do you mean "getting overhead" ?

Thats correct, they are added by this mod.

Yep, you could do that.

Sounds rather like you have a mysql issue. There is nothing special about those tables.

Boofo 02-25-2011 08:35 PM

I just optimized those tables fine without an issue.

Maxi62 03-05-2011 06:08 PM

Can you make this addon as widget?

Paul M 03-05-2011 07:38 PM

Probably not, or at least not the full version - might think about just the main (forumhome) display as a widget version at some point.

Alfa1 03-20-2011 04:30 PM

At what point would it make sense to prune the vb_guest table? I recently started using this addon and already have 100.000 records in that table. Does it matter / affect performance if this table will have millions of records?

Paul M 03-20-2011 09:09 PM

If your mysql is working well then it wont have much effect, its all indexed.

However, have you got the auto clean-up disabled ?

Unless you are using the data for something specific then you dont need to keep more than a couple of days worth.

Alfa1 03-20-2011 09:47 PM

Thanks. I see now. I have the auto-cleanup enabled and the table only has data of guests that just visited. So the table will not grow to millions, unless my site become extremely popular.

mmacrypt 03-21-2011 05:52 PM

Thank you Paul, as usual, another great mod.

OldSchoolDSL 03-21-2011 08:34 PM

Optimizing my community. This included turning off most of anything that shows or tracks who is online.

Un-installed

But for what is is worth, this was a cool mod and Paul M did a good job

naturalparent 03-22-2011 11:29 AM

I don't see anything either, 4.1.2?

I've looked everywhere nothing showing up

traen 03-27-2011 02:58 PM

It shows up on the forum home page at the very bottom under who's online, and you have to give your usergroup permission to view it.

Yes it does, it just took until the next day to show up

Works great

Thanks

I think I'm running into a similar issue on 4.1.2. Is there any way that we can kick-start this to make it take effect immediately? I can't even see the additional usergroup permissions at this point...

Paul M 03-28-2011 06:41 PM

I suspect your bitfields may not have got rebuilt - that can happen if you import the product before you upload the bitfield files. Try simply importing the product file again.

kpuls 03-29-2011 03:17 AM

Hi Paul,

Thanks for this. I obviously didn't read the instructions close enough. I assumed that the install was all done by the upload and missed the upload of the bitfields. Thanks for mentioning them. :)

dlewisr 05-03-2011 02:46 PM

Cheers Paul.

Installed and rated.

K!nG 06-13-2011 04:23 AM

Nice one Paul..

Just installed it on 4.1.4 working gr8. Thanks

K!nG 06-16-2011 01:54 AM

I just got quick question when i keep it limited to 3-4 threads to view and then it ask for registration does that apply on search engines (web crawlers) also ?? like google?msn?yahoo? etc etc ????

tareqbd 06-17-2011 01:58 PM

Many thanks Paul bro. I was looking for it. Works fine with VB 4.1.3.

Rakehel 07-07-2011 08:05 AM

I'm missing something on the install. I uninstalled the old product. (vB 3.86 version) Removed the older ".trg" uploaded new one. Imported new product.

The feature displayed for a while then disappeared. I reinstalled everything and can't get it back.

Guest settings need to be set to be viewable in Who's Online. Anything else?

Paul M 07-07-2011 09:50 AM

Did you upload the new bitfield xml file ?

Rakehel 07-07-2011 10:36 PM

The "bitfield_trg.xml" file is the only one, correct?

I've tried removing everything a couple of times. Originally I simply uploaded and overwrote the existing .xml, then went back and deleted it, reuploaded, before reinstalling the product again.

I'm wondering if I don't have Guest permissions set right or another mod is interfering. The mod has always worked like a charm since vB 3.7.

Paul M 07-08-2011 11:43 AM

Yep, thats the correct file.

If you actually uninstalled the old one before installing the new one then you will need to redo all the usergroup permissions, as they will have been zapped.

Rakehel 07-09-2011 11:04 AM

Thanks Paul. I'll check them again. I know it's something simple that I'm overlooking. We finally upgraded to v4.1.4 (from 3.8.6) and are still sorting through all the new tools and toys.

Rakehel 07-09-2011 11:11 AM

Heh-heh...just being an idiot. We have to set it so the Admins can view the thing!

Where's the smilie here that smacks its forehead?

doctorsexy 07-15-2011 08:09 PM

Installed on 4.1.4 looking good... thank you

LisaArnold 07-19-2011 02:30 AM

Thanks, works nicely with 4.1.4 :)
