Is there anyway to make the column on the right side of the forums non-collapsible? I would like to have custom boxes for links or ads and don't want the ability for someone to collapse it? Any idea?

Thanks!

Hm..Not sure if that's possible. This is vbulletin4.0.2 software question, not a theme question though.

Thanks

Nice style developer. Wont answer mail. Dont want people to add him on MSN even if he says so in thread. No support how to install his theme for a newbie. *Sigh*...

To install this theme, it's similar to how you would install any theme.

1. Download the .zip folder
2. Extract .zip folder with winzip or any extraction tool
3. Open filezilla or any ftp service. Configure ftp to work with your server
4. Find images folder thats in your root, or whereever you installed vbulletin
5. Drag the folder: vbclone into images folder on your ftp
6. After that, go to admincp, download/upload styles > import style xml file > browse for my .xml file, its called GreenSEOTheme.xml
7. Ignore Style Version: yes
8. Import

Astyanax 02-22-2010 06:07 PM

Sorry for being cranky towards you. Just annoyed with bad support here and there. Thanks for all help Dave, and thanks for a great style! :)

Astyanax 02-23-2010 06:00 AM

Some things I would like to have fixed with this style:

* There are still some parts that are blue from default vb style: pagination and "whats new", and content in threads

* Removal of the white line under the forum logo

* Little space between the big content in middle of /content and the two corners on each side (sections, latest replies)

Come online Dave! :)

Decided to make my own theme, took me hours but it got there in the end, not perfect but it's a good look-alike. Check it out.

daveaite 02-25-2010 06:02 AM

I will be releasing an update on this theme this weekend.

SpottySocks 02-25-2010 08:42 AM

works well in firefox and chrome, however in IE I get this (see screenshot)

Anyone help please? :)

Excellent theme by the way, love it. :)

daveaite 02-26-2010 02:00 AM

Browser compatibility has nothing to do with the theme but vbulletin itself. :P

daveaite 02-27-2010 02:45 AM

2 Versions Released. Lots of updates on both. (Took all day)

CSS + JSS Version

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/05/23.png

Fix Log:
Major Fix: 2/26/2010: Updated borders, and menu colors. Release JS + CSS version as well with expandable/contracting headers. beta1.0

Known Issues of JS+ CSS:

-Works perfectly on wordpress installations. Only goes to margins on vBulletin installations. Currently not cookie based, so it resets size per page.

Please note: Requires some advanced knowledge to customize it for per forum. It is possible though. I can not support this version per individual but I will continue to improve it. For custom work, see forum-skins.com

http://forum-skins.com : installed both on home(wordpress) and forums(vbulletin).

Try not to make your logo larger than 400 x 50 px. At least that 50 px is important. However, I think Dave should fix this so larger logo's can be used and not bring up that white line.

daveaite 02-27-2010 10:56 PM

I'll make another release maybe next week. That issue isn't too problematic.

kozzie 02-28-2010 10:37 AM

hi,

I am trying to use your style with my new 4.02 forum. I need help as I am new at this.

there are no instructions for new people like myself included in this styl.

I would like instructions step by step if possible for how to add this style on my 4.02 vb board.

many thanks

kozzie

That means you placed vbclone folder in the wrong directory. Make sure you put it in the images directory. And if your forum is not in your root, you have to place it wherever your forums root is.

Astyanax 03-01-2010 05:43 PM

I'm looking foward to a new update really soon! Dont forget to use the original vBSEO style as reference. I like all about it except for the width.

kozzie 03-02-2010 03:56 AM

you forgot to tell me after all the steps to do this:

ADMINCP, Settings, Options, Style & Language Settings, and select
the style of your choice.

thats why it wasnt working.

I found the info thru searching on this forum

Now I have done that it is working fine.

kind regards

Kozzie :)

Tize. 03-02-2010 09:48 PM

Great File , 5 stars , installed!!

daveaite 03-02-2010 10:26 PM

You can change the width simply by changing doc_width in stylevars.

kozzie 03-08-2010 11:40 AM

i have a white line running thru the middle of my header banner,

I tried making my banner smaller but it looks rediculous can this issue be fixed pls otherwise i will have to uninstall this style.

Shame really as it is really nice,

regards Kozzie - Caroline:mad::(

fionix 03-10-2010 07:53 AM

It is the size of the image for your logo you are using that need to be smaller. Have used hours to try to fix this, finally I made the logo smaller and it vanished... not the best way to do it but an option.

daveaite 03-11-2010 02:34 AM

I will fix this issue promptly :P

daveaite 03-11-2010 02:58 AM

Updated.
3/10/2010: Fixed white line in header when using a larger header image. Added fixed width and fluid width version for normal Professional Green SEO Theme

kozzie 03-11-2010 03:51 AM

hi there if i want to update this style how do i do it or do I have to reinstall it all over again.

thanks in advance

caroline

daveaite 03-11-2010 04:05 AM

Simply overwrite the existing installation.

So:

1.Style Manager > Download Upload Styles > Import Style XML File > Browse for XML > Merge into Style > Green SEO Theme > Ignore Style Version: Yes > Import. > Done..

kozzie 03-11-2010 04:23 AM

kozzie 03-11-2010 04:32 AM

kozzie 03-11-2010 05:00 AM

Hi I have another question.

I would like to know if the frame around the navigation drop down menu could be changed to the nice green which is around the the quick links drop down menu. The fine green line.

I am new at this so sorry if i am a problem to u.,

I love this style very much

regards

caroline

Astyanax 03-11-2010 06:26 PM

I have an assignment for you Dave! ;)

What about creating a "Professional Green SEO Theme LIGHT" with NO template changes, just color changes? I would love to have the right colors and no need to worry about updates, because with just color changes you can update your vBulletin version instantly, without having to wait for someone to fix template changes.

vBulletin recently released a couple of new themes with just color changes, no template changes. They can be downloaded here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...-Now-Available

daveaite 03-11-2010 09:34 PM

Fluid Version: Boundaries stretch to the sides
Fixed version: Width is fixed at a certain spot similar to how http://forum-skins.com is set up right now with this theme

If you want both, just upload both .xml's, they use the same image folder for convenience to you guys.

For specific theme changes for ones own needs: refer to http://stylevars.com
