I just upgraded to v4.02, and reverted all templates...overall, most things seem to be fine. Strangely though, on the Who's Online page, the image URLs to display the icon legend point to .png files in the /vb4_blue/statusicon folder. However, these images only exist in .gif form here.

See attached. Is there something I've missed?

It should be like this, with images in the path.

/images/vb4_blue/statusicon/

you can change that in your stylevars by searching for statusicon.

My path is correct. The links on that page however are pointing to .png files, yet no .png files for these images exist in this style.

The image files in question are:

/images/vb4_blue/statusicon/wol_lockedout.png
/images/vb4_blue/statusicon/wol_nopermission.png
/images/vb4_blue/statusicon/wol_error.png

These are .gif files in the mod .zip file. I've converted the images here for anyone who needs them, but I thought you might want to fix the .zip file to include these.

That's what I did, too. The style could use some rationalization. A lot of the images have duplicate PNG and GIF versions, sometimes with slightly different file names.

That siad, it's still a great vB4 style. :)

The statusicon directory for vb4.0 has over 120 images related to forum markers, wol, etc. and renaming and working in a different set is one of the more tedious and painstaking tasks I have ever undertaken with vb. Why in the world they have so many forum markers is beyond me, they really went out of their way to reinvent the wheel with this version and I think it's why so many styles for vb4 don't change their those images.

  1. It's actually Admin CP | Styles and Templates | Style Manager
  2. {select your style or master style} > Dropdown box > Revert all templates

saghir 02-26-2010 07:45 PM

Love this style.
4.02 here and slight problem when creating new topic or replying. The line is striking through the words:

I can't seem to recreate that, do you have any other template modifications? You may want to revert them (instructions in the first post) and see if that doesn't help.

Diablotic 02-27-2010 02:34 PM

this is probably caused by translation as it happens in default theme as well.

Parture 02-28-2010 09:57 PM

I looked at all the different styles and I like this one the most. Maybe if the creator updates it to 4.02

This style works perfectly on 4.02.

airheadairbrush 03-01-2010 08:38 PM

It does work on VB4.02 but I'm told it's not a 4.02 compliant style sheet. I had trouble getting photo post plugin to work and thats what I was told the reason was.

Its a great style War. Frog thank you for taking the time to make it available to us installed, and very happy with it after solving the photo post plug in problem.

I don't believe there is any updated needed.

ckmom12673 03-10-2010 01:31 AM

Heeellp!! I'm trying to install this. I keep getting a message saying it was written in 4.0.2 and that I'm running 4.0.1. But I know for a fact that I'm not! I have checked every place and all my things tell me I am running 4.0.2

any advice?

Check "Yes" on "Ignore Style Version" and it will allow you to install it.

anaksimandros 04-09-2010 04:09 PM

Does the update for the version 4.0.3?

kevius 04-13-2010 02:53 PM

mark forum as read in "what's new" onglet is not working after upgrade in vb 4.0.3 !

error message is :

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid.

link is : http://xxxxxxxxxx/forum/forumdisplay.php?do=markread <- normaly you must have some caracters after this !

This function "mark forum as read" is OK on the forum but not in "what's new" !

Not an issue with this style but a vBulletin 4.03 bug - see:

kevius 04-13-2010 06:26 PM

Diablotic 04-13-2010 09:47 PM

So how do we fix this for this style?

It depends on which problem you're having.

If you are having the security token issue, you need to revert/rebuild the style as spelled out in http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...processed-beca

1. Admin CP | Maintenance | Update Counters

2. Scroll down to:

Quote:

Rebuild Styles
This function allows you to completely rebuild all style information. This is necessary after a major upgrade, or if you have manually edited any of the 'special' templates.
If you're not getting the security token error but just finding that Mark Forums Read still leaves listings bolded, see http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...Forums-as-Read - there's nothing you can do to fix it until vBulletin fixes it, because it's not a problem with the style.

Skyrider 04-20-2010 03:41 PM

I noticed a few images are missing:

[s]wol_lockedout.png
wol_nopermission.png
wol_error.png[/s]

Above fixed by upload & renaming GIF to PNG.

and locked thread is using the default icon of vb4.. Just wanted to share it, thanks! :)

I've installed your style again, and have the strangest problem with the credits text in the footer. It shows fine on all pages except the forumhome and photoplog (gallery) page. Any idea what's causing that?

ETA: I have applied the rgb(0,0,51) fix to the shade_color stylevar with no luck.

snerd 05-24-2010 11:29 AM

Well, it has to do with the PhotoPlog gallery. If I disable it the text is readable on forumhome footer.

lubbie 05-31-2010 02:18 PM

I also installed this style but there a still some errors. Hopefully there will be an update to 4.0.3 and after

What errors? I'm using it on 4.03 with no issues.

Walter Ronny 06-02-2010 05:03 PM

i installed and using 4.0.3 get errors, everything is disordered.

You need to revert your templates.

Walter Ronny 06-02-2010 06:38 PM

Im using default templates.

Diablotic 06-19-2010 04:00 PM

How does this style work with 4.0.4? I am running this style on 4.0.3, do I need to do anything after upgrading to 4.0.4 in order to get everything right?

Zweeper 10-16-2010 04:02 PM

awesome style, love it!
but is it working with 4.0.7?
I need it for 4.0.7 because it seems that there are some style issues, maybe i did it wrong?

the style of the forum main page is totally screwed.

ericgtr 10-17-2010 04:03 PM

I have updated for 4.0.7. All my test have so far been successful, please let me know if there are any issues.

I just updated this to version 4.07, and for whatever reason it breaks the "What's New". When I use the default style everything is fine, and my what's new appear properly.

Any thoughts? All I get using this style is "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

Incidentally, to upgrade I selected "merge into", not new style. Edit: I tried both installation methods and both ways this style's What's New is broken. I reinstalled the old vb4 and What's New is fine.

Hi WF, thanks for the feedback. I show that the "What's New" link goes to /search.php?do=getdaily&contenttype=vBForum_Post that's also the same as they use on vbulletin.com. Can you see if it's the same on your old vb4? If not, we can always replace the link on vb4 blue with the one that works.

War.Frog 10-18-2010 02:25 AM

Hi ericgrt...

Thanks for the quick reply. My link points here:

Code:

http://www.wekillus.com/wkuforums/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post
Looks like the difference is the "daily" versus "new" in the do=
