Too me i have the same problem...
I have 2 vb forums

In one i have installed the 4.2.1 version and this mod work perfectly.

In the other i have installed the 4.2.2 version and in this doesn't work

Too me i get the same errors...

leemart44 06-24-2014 11:20 PM

Only problem is it all displays in page source, so they can get the link anyway

ozzy47 06-25-2014 12:05 AM

Sure, but there is not many ways around that without causing performance issues. :(

leemart44 06-25-2014 01:05 AM

Thanks for reply, I guess only a small percentage know that trick LoL

bymny 07-21-2014 05:24 AM

In the 4.2.2 version go in error when you open a page in this way.
Up the home page come out this:

Ok let's try this file.

Solved.

Hi guys and many thanks Ozzy
this fix really work with the 4.2.2 ver.

Can be useful also for the others user of vb.org to move this fix in the first page of the mod (where is there the coder link to download the file)

So thanks Ozzy and thanks also Delilahs (the coder of this very helpful mod).

markoroots 08-03-2014 09:29 AM

Sorry...
That errors i report in my previous post, thanks to your file Ozzy, are disappeared.

But if i see the threads like a guest the links are still there. :(

ozzy47 08-03-2014 09:39 AM

Strange, I just tried it on a test site and works as intended.

lettebasse 08-20-2014 04:51 PM

can it be configured to work on specific forums ?

markoroots 11-24-2014 12:20 PM

Too me I have the same important problem like lettebasse.
Is it possible to add this very important feature?
Thanks in advance.

ozzy47 11-24-2014 12:24 PM

As the developer has not been on in three years, and the mod has not been updated in five years, I doubt it will ever get updated at all.

markoroots 12-12-2014 09:47 AM

Thanks Ozzy.
Do you know what mod do the things we ask?

markoroots 12-15-2014 03:11 PM

Any answer?

ozzy47 12-15-2014 08:48 PM

Actually looking at the code, it seems like you can do it on a per forum basis, you just need to set it in each forum individually.

markoroots 12-16-2014 09:42 AM

Sorry but how to do this?

markoroots 12-16-2014 09:44 AM

Sure that is really incredible that on Vb.org there isn't a mod like this..
Is also a simple mod.

ozzy47 12-16-2014 09:57 AM

Try editing each forum, ACP --> Forums & Moderators --> Forum Manager then edit each forum and look for this setting, Exclude this forum from hiding links from guests, it is set to hide by default.

markoroots 12-16-2014 01:00 PM

Sorry but I haven't this option (Exclude this forum from hiding links from guests) in the forum manager.

ozzy47 12-16-2014 03:27 PM

You need to edit each forum. The options are there.

markoroots 01-19-2015 06:10 PM

Wow really! Great. Thanks. :)

Scimia 01-26-2015 11:43 AM

I tried with the two xml posted by ozzy47, but with the first I get two errors and with the second xml file the plugin seems to not work (no errors, no link hiding)...

I'm using VB 4.2.2 PL4

i am really surprised if someone is not updating his modules vBulletin stuff should send them notification and put this modules in archive . its not good when somebody came in section and see this was not supported or updated long time ago that's really bad

Why archive mod if the coder hasn't been online or update file, it still works?!
