Just seeking clarification.

We're running Lynne's additional_css hack with custom css in it. When you state that it is *included* in this modification, what exactly does that mean? I don't want to install this and find out it overwrote my values in any way. I don't need the additional_css part of this hack as I already have it installed. Could you clarify on any potential conflicts?

It will not over write your values. Just her basic modification code is used.

I tried to add support for the vBcms, but they still have no hooks in place for the cms articles.

I Could make it happen right now but it would require file edits. It would make me have to support members a lot more cause many members will have errors altering code.

So I will wait till Monday when they release vB 4.0.1 and see if they added any hooks.

Sorry to the CMS users.

Understandable.

Thanks for this mod! I don't understand why something like this isn't standard functionality in vB4.

I do however get complaints from IE users: Lytebox seems to be working a bit sluggish. It takes up to 10 seconds before the Lytebox window is fully opened. Also, the "[X] Close" button is not visible. I can reproduce these problems in IE8. Firefox has no problems... Is this something you can fix?

Another question: up to version 3.8.4 we used nCode image resizing, which was perfect for us. Do you have any plans on including an option to resize using nCode instead of Lytebox?

My plan is to slowly make this mod what every one wants. The only options I plan to ad is the option to use lytebox or not. But there will be tons of extras added.

Still in for the updates, I saw where VB postponed the release from yesterday..so who knows, lol.

SuperGLS 01-12-2010 03:50 PM

Working great in Safari 4, FF3.5 and Chrome. Thanks!

princeedward 01-12-2010 04:20 PM

looks good and work perfect...thanks and installed ;)

SuperGLS 01-12-2010 07:14 PM

My members are reporting the ultra slow load times for the Lytebox images in IE8 as well.

However, one member said that if they turn on Compatibility Mode that they "close X" shows up.

ciaba 01-12-2010 10:21 PM

pretty nice mod but i'm still having problems with lytebox:
the showthread imports lytebox.js correctly but the rel attribute is still the old one

Code:

id="attachment86" rel="Lightbox_134"
i think the problem is about the theme cache, any idea?

DigitalDark 01-12-2010 10:24 PM

I've set my forum to doc_width 980 px. It would be great to integrate this plugin with cms, blog, profile comments, and private messages. The images are over the width of my style.... Thanks for this mod!

Skyrider 01-14-2010 01:52 PM

Installed the latest version on 4.0.1, getting the error:
Quote:

if ($vbulletin->options['bbr_image_active'] && $vbulletin->options['bbr_lytebox_active']) { if (in_array(THIS_SCRIPT, array('showthread', 'showpost', 'blog', 'entry', 'vbcms'))) { $vbcsspath = 'css.php?styleid=' . $vbulletin->userinfo['styleid'] . '&langid=' . LANGUAGEID . '&d=' . $style['dateline'] . '&sheet='; $find = ''; $add_before = ''. PHP_EOL; $output = str_replace($find,$add_before.$find, $output); } }
at the top of the forums. Possible fix for this please? Would have been great if the older version was attached..

EDIT:

Even older version no longer works:
Quote:

if (in_array(THIS_SCRIPT, array('showthread', 'showpost'))) { $vbcsspath = 'css.php?styleid=' . $vbulletin->userinfo['styleid'] . '&langid=' . LANGUAGEID . '&d=' . $style['dateline'] . '&sheet='; $find = ''; $add_before = ''. PHP_EOL; $output = str_replace($find,$add_before.$find, $output); }
I like this plugin, and I really hope this can be fixed.

How are your storing your css files?

adminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Style & Language Settings -> Store CSS Stylesheets as Files?

Yes or No
Should be set to no.

This currently works with forums and blogs,

I plan to add:
Visitor Messages
Blog Comments
Calendars
Private Message

I will add cms when ever there is enough hooks.

Currently I am working on my personal stuff.

That explains it, but yes.. They are set to yes, and I personally prefer them stick on yes as well.

Well currently it will not work if the css is stored on the file system.

As vbulletin did not allow us the option to add our css to their css rollup.
So I do not see a fix for this for a few weeks unless I recode all of this just for a few weeks and thats a little to much work for a temp fix. Basically I will have to have two versions.

I would like my css stored in file system too but I have several mods that will not allow me to right now.

Skyrider 01-14-2010 02:59 PM

Quite a shame honestly :(, but thanks for your help.

Go ask vBulletin to hurry up with 4.0.2 although I have almost all the bugs fixed on my 4.0.1 copy.

I can't do nothing about it. As I said to rewrite that to work for a free mod for 2 weeks is just crazy. My time is more valuable then that.

I just switched the CSS file storage to no, and I still receive the same errors as above.

Then something else is wrong I just imported this on my live site last night and it works on 4.0.1

It should not parse php as plain text. Did you clear your cache?

Robru 01-14-2010 04:21 PM

Works fine on 4.0.1 !!
Thank you Sir ... :)

CTRL + F5, yes.

Why is that when you click an image that's a thumbnail it brings you to a page with the same size image and not the full image?

For example:

It becomes this when the hack is enabled:
http://img208.imagevenue.com/loc466/..._123_466lo.jpg

But it should be like this:
http://img208.imagevenue.com/img.php..._123_466lo.jpg

Bouncer222 01-16-2010 10:16 PM

QUICK QUESTION before I install this...

Does it keep image proportions intact?

Bouncer222 01-16-2010 10:17 PM

and does this work on 4.0.1? If so, without any bugs or with which bugs then?

I do not understand what you mean? This does not alter thumbnails.

It does not edit the image its self just the css to control the size of the images.

It will work on 4.01 with out any problems as far as I know of. At least no one has reported any and I have this running on a live site.

Bouncer222 01-16-2010 10:36 PM

K I installed it and applied 150 as the max high and 400 max width, is this in pixels format?

I activated it and also enabled it for signatures, but on my home page, and I use vbadvanced beta 1 for vb 4.0.1 suite version, the image on the home page isn't getting resized, the piggy bank, how do I make it get resized automatically as well?

Well this does not support vBadvanced. You can look in the plugins to see how I did it and try to make it work with vBadvanced. I do not plan to make this work with vbadvanced.

Sorry thats to much work. Before I know it people will be asking if I can expand it to wordpress, and some cms's that people used next to vBulletin. I can only expand so far.

There is a option in the adminCP to turn off lytebox.

Hi, I do not understand my question.
My problem and many of us is that when we use the Hack and spades in the photo you sent to another page and it takes us out of the forum.
It may not sink in the photo "?
You can change that we sent to another page and the photo look only within our forum "?
Thanks for the hack friend.
Greetings. :):)

I am not trying to be rude here but if you do not understand your own question, How am I supposed to understand it?

I really do not know what you are saying sorry for the language barrier.

Do you have a place where I can see it live? A test site maybe?

I am willing to help any one who is having problems to get this to work on their forum.
